But the job they did deserves recognition. Among the many people worth a shout-out: designer Chaya Uzan whose enthusiasm and ideas gave us a sense that our project was quite special; and Robbie Goldberg, our day-to-day contact and project manager, who brought a craftsman's eye to all aspects of the job. When problems were encountered, problems were fixed. An example: once we installed a new oven in the kitchen we realized that we would have to do without a favorite built-in spice cabinet. Robbie came up with ingenious fix requiring some custom carpentry so that the spice rack did not disappear but became an integral of the whole. Anthony, our renovation expert, was our first contact with A to Z. He encouraged us not to give up on what we wanted the project to look like even though other renovators had told us it was impossible to do. He also offered to answer any questions we might have along the way. Then there's Shevy, the permit and insurance coordinator. She dealt with the necessary paperwork and kept the inspectors at bay so we did not have to deal with those headaches. And last but not least, Mario, the site manager, who was there every day, hands-on, always professional and pleasant. On that note, the entire team seemed to like one another and treated us and each other with a refreshing degree of decency and consideration. To summarize: The team at ATOZ was thoroughly professional and kept us informed with clear, consistent communication every step of the way. Importantly, the team worked efficiently to stay on schedule and were fair when an unexpected issues arose, providing clear solutions. Which was installing ceiling fans( purchased separately) with "on the wall" wiring rather than in the wall wiring and all the fixins purchased from these folks. It was my first project of installing ceiling fans like this (Have installed ceiling fans before but never the wiring from the outlet) and I have to admit it all went pretty well. Because here it is late August ... hot as he__, .. well you know how hot it is, and guess what?!, my ceiling fans are working fine and the on the wall wiring looks professionally installed, albeit, perfectly fine. I'm having my apartment painted soon, in late September to have all the on the wall -- WIREMOLD-- colors blend in with the paint on the ceiling and walls. There were some hiccups on the invoice but they credited me appropriately when I pointed errors out to them. they corrected problems immediately. So all in all this is the place to go folks if you want professional service from professionals who have all the supplies you'll ever need for electrical type work.

We received a run down on how the machine works, learned how to thread the machine and how to fill the bobbins. Then we made a denim tote bag. This was super easy and really fast. After lunch break is the 2nd project. If you don't have your fabric, the school can sell you fabric directly inside for $16 a yard. I bought my fabric elsewhere and brought it in. I honestly recommend doing this instead of buying it from them. Because you have to wash your fabric like how you wash your laundry regularly since it shrinks naturally. We picked our patterns and I made a skirt since a skirt is faster than pants. They recommended not to make pockets or else I'll run out of time. But I HAD to add pockets. Women's clothing have little or no pockets regularly. The instructors are extremely helpful and friendly. and they immediately notice if someone is struggling or stuck. This really impressed me. For example, when I was threading the bobbin, the spool of thread was running out. The teacher was immediately behind me with a brand new spool of the same color so I can swap it out when it was finished. That was a great eye for detail! Overall, highly recommend. Just bring in your own 3 yards of cotton fabric, already washed and dried, for the 2nd project!

Didn't find a chandelier, but did find a fun, twiggy, lighted tree, about 5' high. It's my Christmas present. This store has every possible part you would need to repair, rewire, or make a lamp or chandelier. Although you would have to get the base or frame elsewhere. Service was friendly and helpful. Prices were good. The tree was $100, which might be a bit high, but it's very pretty. We needed coffee, and the nice man who helped us said that he would wrap the tree while we were gone. He didn't even ask us to pay in advance. When we came back, it was wrapped. Excellent customer service! Much appreciated.
