Customer service? What's that? Never heard of it…read more Little Wolf is proving to be a wolf in sheep's​ clothing. We had cabinets that cover our HVAC units made by Little Wolf several years ago and have been very happy with them. Yesterday, the largest piece of wood came off the cabinet in my young children's room. If it fell on one of my kids, it would have caused significant injury. We emailed Little Wolf asking for them to come and fix the cabinet (we didn't ask for a freebie). To quote their email to us "just pick up magnets and let your handyman​ fix it." After spending several thousand dollars on cabinets, I expected​ better than this. Thanks,​ Little Wolf, thanks for nothing!

Literally, the unit came off the wall and nearly killed the person pulling the bed down (had he not jumped out of the way). Upon inspection by the building superintendent, it was determined the unit was not installed correctly. The unit's nails went into dry wall, that's it! When the company was notified of this horrific situation, they abdicated all responsibility. They believe that since the unit was installed several years ago before they took over the company, they should not bear any responsibility. Total refusal to do anything! Of course, as you can see by the company's website and promotional materials, they do believe they have the right to leverage the former management's legacy/name/reputation, just without any responsibility. Stay away from these greedy people!

Caveat Emptor - anyone looking to do business with Manhattan Cabinetry (MC) should be very careful…read more Know what they are about BEFORE you walk in the showroom. I ordered two bookcases from this company with the understanding (after I met with their salesperson Connie) that the company would build and install the bookcases. My troubles began after the salesperson handed me off to the people who actually run the company. For me, dealing with the MC salesperson that I met was very similar to dealing with a stereotypical used car salesman; borderline dishonest, pushy, and committed to the hard sell. Know this going into the showroom: if you meet with Connie - ask for everything in writing, particularly if you live in co-op like me with lots of rules for vendors and contractors. Ask to speak to the factory-- or the VP of sales there. They will set you straight about what the MC will and will not do. Don't take anything you hear in the showroom (or at least from the salesperson I met) on face value. The factory runs things--not the salespeople, or at least the one I dealt with. At one time, this company was a premier custom furniture maker. Their vans are iconic. They may well still sell lots of custom furniture. Today, the company (or at least the salesperson I dealt with) seems more concerned about your deposit than making sure you're happy. Shop around before you try this company. There are dozens of young, talented makers--craftspeople who are straightforward about their business practices and build beautiful cabinetry. To the management: It has been said that the first people you meet (usually at reception) are the face of your organization. if Connie is the face of your company, you need a makeover. She does not represent you well. Stay away if you can - shop around. THIS COMPANY HAS LOST ITS WAY......

The cabinets hold an amazing amount of weight, clean up really easily, and look fabulous!!! Due to bad walls in our apartment, I was concerned that the cabinetry wasn't anchored in properly. They certainly didn't have to do anything all these years later, given that it was the wall that was the issue, but they sent an installer who completely removed the cabinet, and re-installed just to be sure. Talk about standing behind your product!!!! I can't imagine not wanting to use them. Can't recommend highly enough!

Chandler impressed me with his attention to detail, gut feel for which design elements would and would not work and why, and consideration for the style of our home...he opened our eyes to new possibilities. He is an honest design professional who designs for beauty and functionality. For example: Adding 3" thick ends to the big island to add gravitas instead of what was drawn as a thin end panel...the proportions would be right and it would accommodate electrical outlets. He cares enough to get every detail perfect that before finalizing the plan he made a house call to walk the space, so to speak....a very helpful exercise as it led to some changes. This impressed us. In the end, the Bilotta kitchen would cost more given our big kitchen. But for a condo/apartment size kitchen in NYC, the price difference should be less. Chandler is talented and worthy of consideration to design and lead your project.

The job went "ok," although the cost was (at least) double what it should have been. Even for NYC. I was fine with it since I was working with pricey Ann Sacks tile. But then when I had an issue, less than 5 months in, and needed a quick repair, they would not respond. When they (finally) acknowledged me, they sent another invoice for an obscene amount-to repair their work that I had already paid for. Disgusting. A true disappointment. Would not recommend. Get multiple quotes, New Yorkers. Buyer beware. They will not stand by their work. Sorry. I know two other designers that have had similar experiences. Part of this industry is standing by your work.
