Hired Conquest to give estimate for replacing failed wiring. They came up with a very expensive verbal estimate requiring grinding the wall & re plastering (in addition to electric work) for $3000+. When I asked for another method they never got back to me and ignored my emails Got the job done with another company for $800, took several hours Conquest could and should have done the job on their first visit, instead I paid $217 for them to stiff me, bad company!! read more

I emailed Conquest Electric through yelp and Roman got back to me within hours. He was able to come to the apartment on a day AND time that was convenient for me!! Ramon was very personable and fairly prompt. He used a little pen like device to "repair" relatively all of my fixture problems. He proceeded to go to his truck (when he got back quite some time later he said that he didn't have the correct light dimmer switch so he went to Gracious Homes down the block) to obtain a switch to replace mine. After he left I noticed that the switch was not turning on the light immediately after I pressed it on. I called Ramon and he said that it would cost me an additional $180 if the problem was my fault... I chose to forego his additional visit. Several weeks later all of the blown out bulbs that were "fixed" we're inoperable again. I am extremely disappointed in this serviceman's operational integrity. He does not stand behind his service and the repair of my antique lighting was only very temporary for a cost of $180+ the cost of the new inferior switch. Better to research your repairman more thoroughly next time! Roman kept telling me that my antique dining room fixture was "old" and I should just replaced it even though I explained that it had been my mother's fixture and meant a lot to me! Ramon...In answer to your retort...my antique fixture was refurbished with new wiring and polishing about eight years ago when I moved from my house into the city. It is a cherished lighting fixture and I relied on you to correctly fix it...not temporarily use a fix it pen for the repair. In addition the main reason I recalled you was because the switch you replaced in the dining area does not work properly. There is a distinct pause before the fixture actually operates. This has remained the main problem I have with your service...there is no spontaneity for the light to function. This was why you said you'd charge an additional $180! Every time I put that light on it malfunctions. There is no reason for a brand new switch to do that at any time! Let's get the story straight! read more

I arrived home from a short trip to find my refrigerator off and my freezer rapidly defrosting. Roman was able to come by within an hour of me calling and set to work immediately. His diagnosis was a shorted out line in the walls but rather than recommend a time consuming and no doubt expensive fix, he was able to rewire the fridge outlet to a nearby rarely used outlet and now everything is back on. I recently went to the United Kingdom. While there I purchased a Retro Radio that my daughter would love. My husband was convinced by the way the man in the store answered a question about the way the radio had been built that we had to have it some re-wiring done to make it playable in the US. I called Roman to get a couple recessed lights in my bathroom working. It didn't seem to be an issue with the bulbs and I'd never encountered an issue with a fixture. Ramon sent over two guys. They discovered it was a problem with the transformer, went down to a shop a block away to get it and got everything working, A day after they left the second fixture blew and they returned, diagnosed a bad socket, replaced it in half the time (so half the expense), and now everything works perfectly. 5/5 I will call them again if I need other electrical work. read more

I reached out for a diagnosis & quote--the next thing I know I get a call from one of my stores telling me that the electrician is already on-site fixing the issue. Fast service I guess, but I had not given him approval to do the work. In fact, upon receiving a very pricey quote, I had decided to work with someone else. When they emailed me an invoice later that day, I responded to explain my frustrations & never heard back from them. He also brought a friend along with him who didn't seem to be affiliated with the company and was fiddling with our store fixtures the entire time...very strange. We needed 2 bedroom ceiling fans to be changed to different frequencies. My bro called one electrician who was 2 hours late to the appointment and he spent 20 min dissembling the fan before he pointed out that we need to change the circuit breakers and need to replace ceiling boxes as the weight of the fan was too heavy for the boxes. His suggestion was to make a bigger fuse box panel as there were too many "high end" appliances attached to the itty bitty fuse box. He expected a whole day to get someone to bigger hole in the cement wall and get his guys to help with rewiring the fans. His total was about 5K but he was going to give a $400 discount like he was doing us a favor. The only two things he did was remove the ceiling fan and turn the switch to the remote. We wanted to get a second opinion and came across Cooper Electrical Services. Thank Goodness for Roman and Victor who were extremely friendly and professional and throughout the whole process knew what was going on. The moment they came in they examined the fuse box and the complicated wiring of the ceiling fan. They got right into identifying the problem and work on it very diligently. They were patient in placing the complicated fan back to the ceiling and took the time to explain everything that was done with their work. Awesome job and thank you so much!! read more

I really can't say enough about Roman. He is just really customer service oriented. Since the first day he showed up till today. So I had to upgrade my electrical lines in the office, I needed to add more Amps. Of course I had at lease 6 electrician coming and giving a price for the upgrade, but I've decided to work with Conquest, for one big reason- Roman's honesty. He was the only one that actually explained to me how it works and why I don't need to do some stuff in order to get the power I needed. Basically he saved me $10K - not joking!!!!!! I highly recommend Cooper!!! I had a fixture stuck to my ceiling (literally would not budge). Within 24 hours Cooper was at my apartment with a real pro!! The electrician sent was able to take apart another fixture in my apartment (similar to the problem fixture) to then figure out how to get the original one to move ... so a bulb could finally be changed.
