Truly ridiculous, unprofessional company. I called over the phone to ask if they could come to fix a clog. I shared that I was having low water flow in my toilet as well and thus experiencing frequent clogs. I'd ask if they can both unclog the toilet and to evaluate my toilet to see what the problem is. When I called, they gave a quote for 20 mins which was way faster than I expected! Nevertheless, they were late, taking an hour to come. That alone isn't the problem but without clear communication, it makes planning difficult. He did text that he was 18 mins away, 20 mins into the wait. And by that time, he was 20 mins late from that estimate. He came into my apt and QUICKLY fixed the clog with a drain auger (?). It seriously took 1 minute. I asked him if he could then take a look at my toilet as well to see WHY I keep having this problem. He takes one look at it and says you need an ENTIRELY NEW TOILET and quoted me $600. He didn't look at the tank, do any sort of inspection. I said wow that seems extreme to have to replace the whole toilet, you haven't even taken a look. He said he knows these sorts of toilets and that I'd need a new one. I asked him to send me a quote so I could share with my landlord. Never received the quote! He charged me $150! I get that is the service fee but I don't think that's fair for 1 min of work and not even taking the time to inspect the toilet to see what could be wrong with it. Asked another plumber to check out my toilet. They replaced some parts and now it's flushing appropriately. They had much better prices and better professionalism. Tony and Uri are fantastic. They helped me resolve a major plumbing issue. The boiler in a rental property I own stopped working over Christmas which led to bathroom pipes freezing and busting. Tony worked for days over the holidays. He identified the root cause of the problem and fixed it. Something that several other plumbers for years failed to do. Tony replaced the faulty boiler part and the broken pipes. I just moved into a new apartment and needed to add outlets to two closets. I contacted Udi after being impressed by all of the positive Yelp reviews. He replied promptly and made time that week to visit the apartment for a free quote. During that appointment, Udi spoke quickly and dismissed the job as being trivial. He said that the outlets could be installed back-to-back. He gave me an estimate of $450 for the work, including plastering over any damage to the wall. After speaking to a few other electricians, I called Udi and told him that I'd be willing to move forward at $400. He said he could do that, but without plastering. I asserted that I needed the job to be done cleanly -- I didn't want to compromise on quality. He said the job was minor and that his guys would be able to do a great, clean job. Udi accomodated my schedule and we were able to do the job that same week. His guys were an hour late. They began by asking "where would you like the outlet" -- I told them, ideally, I wanted the outlet at the bottom of the closet. I didn't realize this was a loaded question. An hour later, they called me over to inspect the work. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. They had installed an extension cord through the wall, stapled it along the back of the closet, and terminated it into a clunky, wall-mounted box. It looked extremely unprofessional and ate up closet space. I called Udi to discuss and he suggested that there had been a misunderstanding. He'd thought that I'd be okay with exposed wire and wall-mount boxes -- he said this was how he was able to offer the $50 discount. Being a layperson, I'd assumed that the outlets would be recessed and that the wire would either be fished through the wall or installed in a low-profile cover. I'd even sent an email before the job specifying my expectation that the result would be "clean face-plates" built into the wall. Udi said that he had thought the guys would go straight through, wall-to-wall (which would have put the outlets at chest level). He said this would have minimized the exposed "extension cord" between closets. I told him that this wasn't my understanding of the work. He said he would have his team move the outlet from the bottom to the middle and install a cord cover to conceal the exposed wire. At this point, I was beginning to feel more than a little overwhelmed and misled. I wasn't receiving the "high quality" work that the other reviews raved about. I decided to loop in my folks (who are experienced homeowners) for help communicating with Udi. We told Udi that the proposed solution was unacceptable, especially in a non-rental apartment. Having over-the-wall wire runs and over-the-wall outlets would hurt the unit's value. I questioned why he'd originally included "plastering" in his quote if he understood the job to be entirely over-the-wall. Udi said he could do what I'd originally expected -- recessed outlets and in-wall wiring -- for $700. That's an additional $300. At this point, I had no choice but to accept an inferior job or to pay through the teeth for what I'd actually wanted. Meanwhile, I had 2 guys in my apartment, their foreman on the phone, and a mess in the hallway... and I was missing work. It was an extremely unpleasant experience. I wound up ponying up $700 (plus the rest of my workday) while his team bought supplies at home depot, took a lunchbreak, and finally came back to complete the job. The final installation was barely passable. The plasterwork has since sunk into the wall, leaving a noticeable indentation where wire was embedded. The faceplates are not quite flush with the wall, and some of the faceplates are scratched up. There's also a blank faceplate covering up a hole in my bathroom wall. All in all, I was not expecting to pay nearly $1,000 to add an outlet to my closet. It was never made clear that the first quote was for an amateurish above-the-wall run of extension cord terminating in an above-the-wall outlet at chest level. I've done my best to present my raw experience working with ASAP Solutions. On the plus side, Udi was polite and accomodating. He was able to schedule the job quickly and work toward addressing my concerns. On the minus side, the job took multiple tries, ate up an entire day, and cost nearly twice the quoted price. For all that time and money, the results were underwhelming. While it's possible that there was a misunderstanding, it's surprising that they'd assume I would be okay with an unprofessional installation to save $50. I stressed many times that aesthetics mattered to me. Most importantly, the tradeoffs / actual plans were never clearly communicated to me (despite my effort to enumerate expectations via email). At worst, I was fleeced. At best, Udi needs to do a better job of communicating an exact work plan and how much that work will cost. He also needs to make sure his team is on the same page. He did not offer to share the cost of the "misunderstanding." read more

I needed to make some plumbing repairs in preparation for the sale of my apt and this is one of the companies that responded, quite promptly I would add. I was able to schedule in advance of the date I would be onsite and they provided the necessary paperwork for my bldg timely. On the day of, Tony showed up and essentially told me all that was needed to make the repairs and the total estimated cost. The only issue, is that I wish I had time to shop for the materials at the cheapest price vs needing everything right away to get the work done and he provided no receipts for the materials. However, Tony and his partner completed all of the work within a couple of hours and did a great job and so that was what was most important. read more

My review of ASAP Solutions is long overdue. I live in a historic building on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The faucet in my bathtub began cracking, as did the shower wall. I was told that my bathroom sink could be causing a leak to the apartment below. Plumbers removed the bathroom sink and did not return to replace the sink or work on the shower wall. I learned the hard way that no plumber will accept to work on an unfinished job by another plumber. I improvised ways to protect the shower wall and the damage left by the removal of the sink. A friend of the family suggested ASAP. I forwarded pictures, Tony agreed to come and do a walkthrough and accepted the job immediately. We discussed what needed to be done to ensure the stability of the shower wall, the installation of the bathroom sink and the cost. Tony was clear that he could not predict the exact cost of the work because of possible unforeseen damage caused by another plumber. I thank Tony for his honesty. In carefully addressing the leak behind the shower wall, Tony discovered the original bricks dating back to 1910, in different shapes, each with a wire around them, that fit together like a puzzle. Tony was able to leave many of the original bricks in place and created a new shower wall stronger than any that could be made today. Workers in the building came to see these bricks and were amazed by Tony's skill. His team came promptly in the morning and cleaned before leaving. The bathroom sink was replaced. Because of Tony's experience, his skill, focus and ingenuity, he did not crack or break one historic brick from 1910. I have never written a recommendation or compliment on Yelp before. It is not easy finding an honest plumber on the internet. I cannot recommend Tony enough. read more

Stay away...! Extremely dishonest! We called ASAP solutions because we had a leak in our toilet. Their plumber came put a seal around the base of the toilet and said that if the leak continued we had to change the whole toilet. I called a different plumber because the toilet kept leaking and it was a super simple problem inside the tank where we didn't even need to change parts. They repaired it in 2 minutes. Twice, we had issues with our kitchen sink and called Udi and his team. The first time they came right away fixing a leak and replacing the pipes. The job was clean efficient. The second time, the sink was clogged and they had to bring a 75ft snake to go all the way to the basement. These guys were amazing (Tony and David). Showed up promptly and had to figure out how to re-install a faucet into a very narrow opening. They actually went with me to Home Depot to make sure that I bought the correct size, which was not at all straightforward.
