This review is just our experience. Like I said, from the beginning we had issues and the company was not helpful. The concrete we added to the posts wasn't a problem for my husband because we had no choice and unfortunately we had to do that not long after install. Hoping the removal of the wooden fence wound give is more of a "view" of the wooded property that backs up against ours. We called Yard Dog and scheduled a free consultation to see what the cost of a new fence and yard extension would cost. Rob showed up early and was very professional about everything, even offering tips on where to save money and what to avoid when taking on such a project. This poor guy had to trek through all of the shrubbery and bushes that are behind the fence to get measurements. The whole consult took about an hour and we were quoted just under $3K. Which includes the new iron fence, removal of the old fence, and the addition of another gate on the other side of the house. Sounds like a steal! We haven't gone forward with our extended fence, due to weather restrictions (see pics) but plan to move forward in late March!

That evening I had an estimate as well as a scaled drawing to submit to HOA Once we got approval, we were put on his schedule for installation ( after rain delay ) they were in and out in couple of days. I am extremely disappointed with American Fence & Gate and its owner, Milton. My biggest issue…read moreisn't just that the job was never properly completed--it's how I was treated throughout the process. There was a constant pattern of promises that were never kept. I was repeatedly told workers would show up and the job would be completed, only to have nothing happen. Eventually, Milton simply stopped responding to my calls and texts. I paid $4,300 upfront. Before the job was finished, Milton repeatedly pressured me by email and text for additional money. After becoming relentless, I paid another $3,630, holding back $1,150 until the job was completed. It never was. The final straw was Milton specifically telling me his crew would be at my home Friday to finish the job. Nobody showed up, there was no explanation, and my repeated attempts to reach him afterward went unanswered. I understand that problems happen in business. What I don't accept is repeated broken promises, being pressured for payment on unfinished work, and then being ignored. I have texts, emails, photographs, and payment records documenting everything. I gave Milton multiple opportunities to make this right before finally ending the relationship. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend American Fence & Gate.
