The fence installation crew did a good job, but the gate opening was too narrow to easily navigate large vehicles and trucks through the gate. After spending thousands with this company, they tried to rip me off when I requested a gate modification, would not even negotiate. I did not ask for the narrow opening design, and I'm willing to pay for the modification, but they are totally uncooperative and unwilling to make the modification at a reasonable price. No gratitude or consideration for their customers when the fencing is done. Nonchalant customer service causes me to NOT recommend K&C. read more

Amended Review: Kevin, the owner, reached out to me and apologized for the miscommunication. He went to great lengths, and even offered to reset my poles like I wanted. Their goal is to have satisfied customers, and they will go to great lengths to accomplish that. I appreciated him taking the time to explain some things to me, and his willingness to work with me. My initial review was based on a miscommunication about pole depth. I wanted the poles installed with 24" below ground, but they were installed a little short. The company states16-24" is acceptable for a 6' fence, so I had to accept that. read more

I had a residential steel fence installed almost a year ago, and I look at it lovingly every single day. I had just gotten a new dog and wanted a "real" fence this time, instead of wireless or the like. I have a huge backyard and it felt like a hefty price tag, but I have been here 24 years and wish I had done this 2 dogs ago. It's been worth every penny. I encourage you to look at the steel option. To me, it is much nicer than the aluminum option. I dropped a foot off the fence (from 5ft to 4ft) and came in at about the same price. A big shout-out to Andrew in Customer Service. He is exceptional at his job! We had a few pickups along the way with the install, but all was resolved,and I couldn't be happier. read more

Booked with them for an aluminum fence that had to be special ordered. The reason we chose K&C was because of the reviews here and the quick turnaround time promised on the project. After signing the agreement, we waited the estimated delivery time and then started trying to follow up. Repeated calls and messages went unanswered or the response was "following up with the manufacturer." If the manufacturer is struggling with delivery, that is understandable, but K&C shouldn't be struggling to return a call or text. We were told our materials arrived and have tried daily to work with them to get the installation scheduled. I had been given tentative dates, but they were going to confirm and call back. Guess what...no call. Again, I leave messages and texts, but can't get an answer. I've gotten one response which was "trying to figure out when to work you in" which would indicate my install is probably not going to happen in 2-3 days per the tentative schedule. I read reviews and hire companies based on reviews like these so I am baffled at all the ones highlighting their great communication and customer service. One or two incidents of this behavior/service level happens in the best companies, but we've experienced three months of customer neglect and frustration. I hope this review helps someone else book elsewhere and question the authenticity of some of these glowing "reviews" because I certainly am now. read more

I do not recommend K&C Fence. They built our first fence around 4 years ago and last year the posts were rotten. They did offer to replace the posts (as the posts were bad materials per Kevin's comments) but the fence was broken after it toppled over and it would not have worked or at least not stayed in tact for long. So we opted to have them build a new fence for another $3500 (now spending over 7K with them). In less than a year (10 months) many of the boards are "bowing". Kevin told me to hire someone else to replace them. So we will. read more

Had them replace 3 gates in our aluminum fence. They ordered the wrong size for one, and asked if they could install it anyway. I said OK. Then one of the latches didn't work, and I asked them to come fix it. They gave me a lot of promises and back-and-forth about it for over a month. I kept talking with them, and eventually they committed to fixing it. But they never have, despite many email exchanges and conversations with the owner. Update. They did finally come out and fix the gate latch. Still took too long, but they did finally get here. read more

Scott, our estimator, was extremely friendly and took the time to discuss through our wants and all our options. The office staff communicated installation dates and kept us updated through weather delays. The installation crew showed up both days and completed ~230' of fence at each house in under 5.5 hours each. K&C gave me the best estimate of any fence company in the area. Once the contract was signed they had the fence up in about a week and only took 3 days once they started. Everything was constructed according to what was discussed before the contract. They worked with me to get approval from my home owners association before construction started. One minor quip: The hardware on my gates doesn't match. One side has different latch than the other and it is quite a bit jankier than I prefer, so make sure you specify the latch hardware before the contract is signed. I could probably complain and get it replaced, but it wasn't a big deal. If you are looking for a fence, I have no qualms about recommending them. read more

I'm very happy with our fence from K&C. Our chain link fence was destroyed in the tornado, and we decided to do an upgrade to the black chain link. It looks great! Adam was amazing to work with and I feel that he went above and beyond to make sure he knew exactly what we wanted. A storm blew down part of my fence so while that was being repaired we needed new post caps, gate latches and topboards. A "tune up" if you will. I made 3 different appointments with Outdoor Woodworks (they originally built it) to come take care or it and after re arranging my schedule to meet them, each time they stood me up and then acted like they were doing me a favor on the phone afterwords. I was livid and am still not sure how they stay in business doing that. So I called K &C. They were at my house the next day with a very reasonable estimate and the job was completed the next week after the post caps got in. Professional, glad for your business and no excuses.
