I just didn't want to waste her time if she is thinking shes doing a shoot which was not the case. So I called left a VM no answer or callback. So the next day I proceeded to go 45 minutes into downtown houston, waiting around the lofts for about 10 minutes called her multiple times and got forwarded and never answered the door to her studio. One of my Other friends who had shown me this boutique had known her personally and reached out, ONLY THEN DID SHE DECIDE to text me some message on how MY appointment got cancelled and if I wanted to reschedule. I think its completely unprofessional to cancel an appointment for a someone and not let them know and just leave them in the dust. if this is how she is even for shopping I cant imagine how unprofessional she is in her other endeavors.

I was not in a very body-positive mindset the evening before and even walking into the studio the day of, but that quickly changed as I talked with Julia and her team. My nerves calmed when Laura started on my makeup, and Kendall handed me a glass of champagne. Leading up to the photoshoot, I received several emails with information regarding their downtown warehouse loft location right across from Minute Made Park and parking. They also included how to best prepare for the shoot--from what to wear, skincare suggestions, and where to buy high-quality lingerie if I didn't already have some. The email sent the day before let me know the timeline and everything that would take place that day. Their excellent communication certainly helped me relax before the big day! Laura did a beautiful job on my makeup. I typically wear very natural and light makeup, and it was fun to see the drama she added, so my makeup would stand out for the shoot! I still looked like myself, which was important to me. While Laura did my makeup, Kendall went through the several outfits I had packed and my jewelry to pick out the shoot styles. She and Julia decided to put me in a few pieces from Julia's lingerie line, and they were absolutely stunning! It was wonderful to hand over the final decision making to their team of professionals and relax. Once my hair and makeup were done, I got to see the outfits that had been styled for me, and we started the shoot. Julia demonstrated and talked me through exactly what poses I'd be doing for each shot. She kept saying "gorgeous" or "perfect" with every shot, and it definitely boosted my confidence. By the end of the shoot, we had several stunning photos to choose from, and we sat together to whittle down the choices. This was the most challenging part of the experience, and I was stunned to see myself on the screen. Was that really me? The lighting was stunning. The curves and angles were so feminine and breathtaking. She and her team had managed to bring out the goddess in me, and I couldn't have felt more confident leaving the studio. I will be recommending ShineOn Boudoir to all of my friends. Men and women alike! They also shoot couples, which could be such a fun gift for a birthday or holiday. I'm certainly hoping my upcoming birthday involves a gift certificate so I can snag more of the photos I had to weed out from this shoot! Highly recommend!

I found WhiteMoose through Yelp after requesting quotes from several photographers. Kapri responded quickly, answered all of my questions, and offered exactly the type of professional headshot session I was looking for at a very fair price. During the session, Kapri was friendly, professional, and made me feel completely comfortable. She guided me through every pose and expression, which was especially helpful since I had never had professional business headshots taken before. I never felt rushed, and she took numerous photos with a variety of poses to ensure there were plenty of great options to choose from. Less than 24 hours later, I received an online proof gallery with clear instructions for selecting my favorite images. The selection process was simple and convenient. After making my selections, the final edited photos were delivered promptly and looked polished and professional. I am extremely happy with the final results and have already updated my LinkedIn profile, Facebook profile, and professional email accounts with my new headshots. If I ever need professional photography again, WhiteMoose Photography will be my first choice. I would absolutely recommend Kapri to anyone looking for high-quality professional headshots.

Once-in-a-lifetime proposal, and we had to fight for everything. Verify your files before accepting…read moredelivery. Kapri photographed our surprise engagement proposal. The moment itself is priceless to us -- which makes what followed harder to accept. Delivery problems: Our gallery was first sent to a complete stranger before it reached us. The delivered photos had tilted horizons across multiple images, soft/out-of-focus shots, and inconsistent color and exposure. The $300 wall: When we asked for the RAW files so we could correct the issues ourselves, we were told that would cost $300 via Zelle -- on top of the $300 session that was quoted in writing as including "all photos in digital form, full size, with professional print options." What we found when we checked the files: Most of the "full resolution" downloads were only 2,272×3,408 pixels (~7.7MP) -- roughly a third of what her Canon R6 actually produces -- while a few images in the same gallery came through at full size, proving the rest had been downsized. Only after we presented the file-dimension evidence did she re-export the gallery at true full resolution at no charge. The full-res files revealed the deeper problem -- the camera settings themselves. The blur wasn't a file issue; it was captured that way. One movement shot (a dip pose) was taken at 45mm, f/5, 1/100s, ISO 2,500 -- a shutter speed too slow to freeze that motion, with ISO already high, producing visible blur and softness. Another was shot at ISO 12,800 at 1/60s. All on an 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 consumer superzoom lens, for a planned evening session photographing moving people. These choices raise real questions about the ability to select appropriate equipment and settings for the conditions -- and the resulting noise, motion blur, and missed focus can never be recovered by any editing. Several photos of a once-in-a-lifetime moment are simply unusable. Bottom line: We ultimately received our full-resolution files and a written print release -- but only because we knew how to check pixel dimensions and pushed back with evidence over several days. Most clients would never know what they didn't receive. If you book here: get the print release in writing before the shoot, ask what lens and settings will be used for evening sessions, and verify your file dimensions before accepting delivery. Update, re: owner's reply -- RAW files were never the point; full resolution was. When RAWs were quoted at $300, we asked instead for the images we paid for to be re-exported at full resolution -- which she did at no charge. That speaks for itself. My review stands.

It seems that maybe she has an obbsession with other peoples love story and ruin a lifetime memory because her personal life has went to shits.

Highlights: - Showed up late and to the wrong venue (despite having been provided schedules and the venue address months in advance) - Missed roughly half of the photo opportunities we'd agreed upon her taking in-advance because of her tardiness & disorganization - More than 10 months and I still have yet to receive a single edited photo - Incredibly rude and unprofessional communication (when she even bothered to respond) - Completely ceased communications after repeatedly missing her own stated delivery dates There's a lot I could say but I'll do my best to keep it short. I shared a Google Sheet with Meagan months in advance and specifically asked for several shots. Some of the ones I'm most disappointed she missed were those of the bridal party & groom getting ready. I have absolutely none. When I sent the hair and makeup schedule showing we started at 10 am, she never mentioned she didn't plan on showing up until 4 pm when all but my finishing touches were done. Whomever you choose as your photographer (especially if it's Meagan) learn from my biggest mistake and never sign a photography contract without a clear delivery timeline in writing for your edits. Though I understand even more unanticipated unfortunate events unfolded in Meagan's personal life after our early talks about her "delays in workflow," being ignored for months after you paid a business for a service you still have yet to receive is unacceptable. I assumed edits would be processed in order of the date they were taken but she repeatedly insinuated any communication or updates I reached out for - about the work that was already months late - would mean she would just push my work down even further on her priority list out of sheer spite. This was a wholly unpleasant, unprofessional and unfortunate experience from start to finish. I have never worked with a small business that represented itself so poorly. Accountability, integrity & responsibility should not be your expectation if you choose to work with Meagan. I did receive the unedited photos several months into the endeavor but aside from that, no reimbursement, small photo "extras," or any form of restitution was ever offered for the endless delays or inconveniences. Additionally, it was implied that my priority in the editing process was pushed down the list because I did not consent to social media sharing & my images could not be used to promote her business. Meagan used to have a good reputation, and many people I know have been happy with her work in the past. I thought her prior good reviews (and personal experiences from folks I knew) would mean this would be a fun and seamless process. However, in my experience, it seems like she no longer cares about her clients, her business or her craft. Meagan is unprofessional, unreliable, and a huge source of stress--all things you definitely do not need when planning your wedding. The very last thing you want to be doing in the months following your wedding is having to hunt down the photos you rightfully deserve & you can't wait to see in their final form. Bottom line - If I could do it again, I would choose someone else in a heartbeat. Your wedding is a once-in-a lifetime event and you deserve a photographer who will actually deliver.

But due to the fact that almost 100 miles of California land separated us at the time, we only met face to face once. In that short time, I gave her a short description of my artistic style and even more vague idea of what I'd like my branding to be. In the weeks that followed Nikki presented me with ideas that seemed she knew the direction of my business better than me! With quick correspondences and a high level of professionalism, my business obtained a brand and identity quickly and seamlessly. I can't wait until the next designing opportunity arises again.
