The year before last my Mom gifted me a gift card for a massage at In Great Hands, here in Collierville. Rita is the Owner. I booked my appointment online and took a screenshot of the confirmation. I got ready for my appointment, walked up there from my home and waited in the lobby. 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, I checked the inside door and the sign said, session in progress. So I walked outside around the building and outside door sign said closed. I started walking home and called the number listed on the site, and Rita answered. I stated who I was and that had an appointment. She informed me there were no Bookings that day. I said I had a confirmation ss and that I was a little upset. As soon as I said I was upset, Rita promptly hung up in my face!! After calling back, sending text with no response, I finally stated that after being so unprofessional that I would just like my Mother refunded so I could go somewhere else. After that, Rita called me back, requesting we start over, that she would love to work on me. I decided I would let some time pass and try to make an appointment at a later time. Sometime later Lee is added to the team and my card was about to expire so I made an appointment and saw Lee. My Google review on Lee is public and he is no longer listed on the " In Great Hands" Website. Fast forward to last week. I make an appointment for 11:15a on Friday. Rita texts me the day of my appointment at 9:29a asking if I can reschedule, to the following day at 11:45a. She had a procedure done the previous day and was still unable to drive. Can I come in on the weekend? Ok, I already had Sunday off per my request. So I fit the New appointment in for Sunday at 3:00. She asked for a booking time because I was showing up early, 2:45p great, confirmed. No apology offered but said she would take 20% off for my inconvience. Ok, thank you I said, sounds good. So we get to today, Sunday, I'm in church for second service and I receive a text 1:42p saying my appointment was canceled an email, sent at 1:43, saying the same. No apology, no explanation. So I got up and went outside to call to find out what was going on, no answer. I called and called then the phone was shut off or I was blocked. I left a voicemail stated that my appointment was canceled, I was trying to out why etc. I then went to the fb page ( messenger showed the account for IGH was active). After saying how unprofessional this was, that I was outside trying to find out something and was anyone going to get back with me before I left this google review, I received this response " Please stop! We are in the emergency room!" My response " I understand things happen. Life is a struggle. However canceling on me an hour before my appointment with no explanation is not ok. I am done with this business and also be leaving a very detailed description of EACH interaction. Have a blessed day!
If you're like me and don't have extra money but when you do, you Love to treat yourself, Please go anywhere but In Great Hands to see RITA!!!!!! THREE let downs in a row is too much for me! Especially when I'm in Pain!!!! Life happens BUT what matters is how it's handled and this is an overall bad experience for me from a business I really loved when Stephanie was the owner!!!!!
