I was recently prescribed oxygen by my pulmonologist. I was able to navigate numerous obstacles thrown up by my insurance with the help of the courteous and helpful Leah, an employee at In Home Medical. And their technician who delivered and demonstrated the equipment was a nice young man by the name of Rudy. Rudy was very knowledgeable, professional and pleasant during his time in our home. Have to make appointment or wait for half an hour only to be told she couldn't see me anyway. I have used this company before when others did not have the appliances I needed. I have ALWAYS been treated with utmost respect and in a totally professional manner. This last venture, due to the ever incompetent middle man (whom we shall call PiSAWa - because that's what they do, piss away time, etc.) PiSAWa had sent me with the wrong prescription, like, quite the hippa hiccough! Not even my name on it! I heard the telephone conversation as it was done over my cell phone and on speaker, about who was going to do what to resolve this problem. 2 WEEKS LATER, after I mysteriously can't ever get someone on the phone, I take my very unhappy self to the home base and explain exactly what I want. 3 secretarial positions there and they obviously have no idea how to work effectively as a team. After 30+ minutes, I get the paperwork in my hands, that I had heard with my own ears was going to be faxed 2 weeks earlier. I go to Inland Home Medical and there is Angela, remembering me and the mess up the first time. She's happy I finally got all the paperwork, but to set up the equipment she needed that original prescription! The HIPPA Violation script I left the office with and then shred because it wasn't mine. LONG STORY: After 2 hours of waiting and waiting in 90 degree heat PiSAWa was able to get all the papers together they SHOULD have had for me when I left! Angela was a trooper! She hung in there with me and was doing all she could to get me set up with the right equipment, properly trained on it, take care of all of the insurance yuck. I couldn't have had a better partner through this. She was patient with me and all the delays brought on by dealing with PiSAWa, very clear and helpful in instructions and questions. I didn't want to add any stars but have to write review. Poorest customer service ever. My Doctor faxed order for wheelchair on 11-6-15 @ 8am. Nurse called to confirm it had been received. 11-11 I still hadn't heard anything so called IHM @ 5:15 , Rose said they hadn't received any faxes from my Doctor. I told her to check because nurse had confirmed the fax. I could hear her shuffling paper. She stared she found it in a stack on Tanya's desk. I asked for a call from Tanya the following day. I called IHM 11-12 because I hadn't received a call back. Rose answered I told her who I was & I hadn't gotten a call from Tanya yet. She again told me they didn't have paperwork from my Doctor. I told get I had talked to her @ 5:15 last night & that she had gone thru a stack of papers on Tanya's desk. I told her to let Tanya know I would be there well before 5pm when she said Tanya got off work. At 1:30 Tanya called & told me she didn't have everything she needed to complete the order & I would have to wait at least another week. This was not acceptable. I've had a wheelchair in the past after surgery & picked up same day doctor put order in. I contacted my doctors office 11-12 & received a call from nurse 11-13 @ 10am told her what was going on with IHM. I asked her to contact another medical supply. At 3pm I arrived @ Densow's medical supply on Wright St in Richland. Conner & Tim had my paper work ready, they fitted a chair for me & changed out an extended foot rest, went thru how to operate the chair & made sure I was comfortable & could make adjustments myself. At 3:45 we were pulling out of parking lot with wheelchair. I hope this review saves you from the frustration I experienced the past week. I have worked with In-Home since 2008. I'm very familiar with the durable medical industry and have worked with every single vendor in the Lower Valley. In Home has a sterling reputation and has an experienced staff to boot. Anyone can sell a wheelchair but not anyone know how to fit, the insurance requirements, and will back it up with service. First off, 'Jim J.' is clearly Jim Jewell, the owner, which is weird and against the rules. The service is really uneven, the woman who does the CPAP stuff is awesome and on top of things and so are the couple other people who've been there long-term (ie, at least a couple years) but there's a LOT of turnover. Maybe half the time you get someone who actually knows what's going on, but the rest of the time you get someone who you've never seen before and who won't be there the next time you go in anyways and is usually nice enough but kinda clueless. I take it the training isn't great, and again, I swear there must be more turnover there than a lot of fast food places. Always got kind of a weird vibe about that. read more

As they have no true competition in town, they usually have what I need, if I'm in a pinch, and for that I'm grateful. However, to save money, order it on the internet, as they are expensive. I've never had a complaint with the service, except for having to wait for help, as they're sometimes very busy. read more

I am very pleased with the delivery service. Rudy and Joey came in with masks and gloves and helped troubleshoot ways to modify our set up and be able to safely use the device. They could have just left when the set-up didn't go as usual, but they stayed and helped us figure it out. Thanks guys! read more

I just spoke with Marsha over there about getting a ResMed CPAP, paid for by my insurance, which is Medicaid and United Health Care. Right away Marsha informed me that because they weren't making enough money on the ResMed CPAP devices, I would have to PAY UPFRONT IN FULL and GET REIMBURSED from United Health Care, which I found out they don't do reimbursements of any kind. And, I let Marsha know that what she told me to do is highly illegal and can actually be prosecuted. Then, I called United Health Care and filed a grievance against In Home Medical in Pasco, WA. And I named Martha as the culprit as well. I also have reported this experience to the news on channel 19, KEPR. And, I will not stop there. I will be reporting this attempted theft to the police as well. I want everyone there to know their job description along with the do's and don't s of insurance laws and what is and what is not legal. A year ago, my husband went in for a new c-pap machine. Nothing but mistakes for the past year- from incorrect setting of the machine, to incorrect insurance billing and approvals to errounous bills. Will never use them again. Have had much better service from a competitor. read more

Service here is just adequate. My Dr prescribed a C-Pap and this was the most convenient supplier. Wish I had gone somewhere else. Only certain salespeople here deal with C-Pap so you always are waiting for them to magically appear out of the back even though there is no one else in the entire store. They do a good job with billing Medicare and were able to make a minor repair to my machine. read more

I discontinue service in July 2016 and I am still receiving statement saying I am past due. They show payment went thru my bank on 11-29 also charged me $15,00 late charge? I paid $29.88 on Nov 21st and they still have not posted to my account? My bill was for 5-30 $8.22,6-30$2.90,7-30$1.88,8-30$1.88 for a total if $`14.88 and with $15.00 late charge my bill was $29.88 what a rip off?? They were charging me $40.00 for oxygen service and portable service. Norco for the same thing is only charging me $18.00 I wouldn't recommend them.There billing do not call you back. This store had an amazing selection...everything you could possibly need to make your life easier- healthwise. The service was friendly and they really tried to solve the problem with my CPAP machine. They fixed it. Yay! For some things, Amazon is less expensive; but Amazon doesn't bill insurance like In-Home does, so that's a pretty good reason to buy from them. I'd definitely go there again. read more

I have had the displeasure of having to deal with this company on several occasions. The employee that sits at the desk in the show room has improperly billed us and our insurance on EACH occasion. For instance, we have payed our portion of the bill which is not covered by insurance at the time of sale, and still receive bills for that portion. This causes us to unduly have to fight with billing to correct the issue. This company continuously sets low standards and consistently fails to achieve them. read more

As the parent of a special needs child, I have had many occasion to need products/services this company provides and have always found their customer service to be rude and difficult to work with. After an accident left me temporarily unable to walk recently, my mother took a doctors order and my insurance information to this agency to obtain a wheelchair. They were extremely rude to her as well and told her that it would be several days to obtain all of the proper paperwork from the Dr. allowing me to actually have the wheelchair and that my mother would have to go get said paperwork and bring it to them and allow them several more days to process the paperwork before they would provide the wheelchair. They did not seem to have any concern about what I would do in the mean time as it was Friday afternoon and offices would not open up until monday morning. My mother took the same paperwork to another provider of home medical supplies (Maxcare) and walked right out of the business with the wheelchair I needed, being told by this business that if any further paperwork was needed, they would contact the Dr. and get it without having to further trouble me to do so. read more

in home medical sucks we rented a hospital bed for one month. the bed was approved by our insurance company for 2 weeks in home medical does not know how to bill the insurance company for just 2 weeks. at the end of the month they did not call to arrange a time to pick up the bed we had to call them 4 times in one day to even talk to someone about picking up the bed and then they want to bill us for another month even though they wont pick up the bed until next week. that is very unfair to us. we will not be paying the additional month since it is their fault that they aren't picking up the bed. do not use this company. read more

I have used In Home Medical on a number of occasions the past 5 years. I find them to be disorganized, poorly trained/qualified staff and not very customer oriented. They are very paperwork intensive to make sure their bases are covered but the customer seems to be secondary to getting paid. In the future when I need in home medical supplies or support I will certainly be taking my business elsewhere. read more

**HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!** There is an issue every single time. My wife has had multiple amputations on her feet and needs mobility assistance. Originally, they gave us a manual wheelchair that is WAY too big and they refused to replace or modify it. (We found a used chair on Craigslist) The next time we went there, we rented a power scooter for an out of town trip. They tried to give me one with a dead battery! Their only suggestion was, "maybe your wife could walk into the hotel room and you can put the scooter in neutral and push it". ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?! Eventually, they "found" one in the back that was charged. Now we have a prescription for a motorized scooter and we told them we want one just like we rented last time. That scooter worked perfectly and that is what we need. They are insisting that someone needs to come into our home and measure doorways. I explained that the scooter is for use outside the house and the width of our doorways does not matter (even though we know this type of scooter does work in our home anyhow). Every single time I try to work with these people there is an issue. They are rude and uncooperative. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE!!! read more

As a person who relies on a wheelchair to get around I found it very disturbing that In-Home Medical refused to help me obtain batteries for my electric wheelchair because I "was not a client" and "didn't get my chair from them". I won't go into all the details of what the rude and abrasive person on the phone said to me. But I can tell you that as a prior client of In-Home Medical it would not have taken them long to re activate my status or something like that. I did not purchase the chair from there because they did not take my insurance. For people that are in the business of making the lives of people with disabilities, whether it be a short term or long term disability better they sure have their priorities wrong. One of their comments on their home page states "The staff of In-Home Medical Inc. will strive to maintain close communication with every patient, physician and other health care provider to ensure that each patient's needs are met." As far as I know anyone who calls or walks or wheels through their doors should be a valued patient. I would not use this business. read more
