I have to say that my time there was not great but it wasn't terrible the people that work there…read moreespecially for one CNA Mariah she really cared for all her patients she deserves a raise. when i first got there she really noticed that i was in major pain and tried to make me as confortable as possible. When she told me about options about the shower schedule she had to do a bed bath on me and treated me with dignity and made me feel confortable. From that day on i knew that while she was there i was in good hands with a caring person. There was a few more people there that always made me confortable and these people are the reeptionist i always called her georgeous and she called me hansome she made me feel at home i didn't get here name and i am sorry. there was two more people that really kicked my butt in therapy and they were Agnes and Ross they really worked me because they knew how bad i wanted to go home and they did not take it easy on me i appreciated that there were days when i got back to my room and just exhausted. This is the reason that this review is not five stars and it comes down to privacy. This is more for the second shift when the door is closed to the room it is only proper to knock and wait to be answered before coming in to the room. They had a habit of just walking in the room without knocking. There was a couple of times where i was in the bathroom and they just barged in and opened the door. Even though it is a kind of a hospital vibe when the door to the room is closed it should be considered being private and the courtesy is to knock not just walk in the door. if i ever have to go back for rehab i would go back to avondale

During our phone conversations 800 miles apart, my dad expressed his genuine gratitude for the tender care and attention that every single member of the staff provided. My dad had a happy and successful stay. The PT and OT he received were excellent and if he ever had to go into a skilled facility again, this is where he would stay, hands down. My mother expressed her relief when she visited him and when she left at the end of the day. She knew he was being so well taken care of. Finding a quality rehab facility can be challenging as many of the reviews are negative posts. It's important that I share my family's excellent experience so that it may be easier for others to make a decision in their rehab facility search! They were friendly. My grandma looked like she had been bathed and hair brushed. When I would talk to my grandma with questions about things they would come over on their own an answer my question. I didn't even have to ask. They adhered to her diet restrictions. I only had one complaint and they addressed it before I was even able to complain and it didn't happen again. They had private showers in their room. The bathroom was kept clean. She had her own room. All the other patients were lovely. ( Except for a grumpy guy but that's not their fault )If we are in this situation again I would definitely choose to send her here vs Waconda care. Hope this helps.

Despite being noticeably understaffed, she moved from resident to resident with remarkable patience and professionalism, feeding those who needed assistance, checking in with others, and maintaining a warm and positive attitude throughout. Her compassion and work ethic clearly reflect someone who takes pride in what she does. While I'm not an expert in this field, I do work in a very similar profession and deeply understand how much compassion, commitment, and emotional strength it takes to provide care for others. Nicole embodies all of those qualities. If the facility had more staff like her, or even just more staff support overall, each resident would receive the level of care they truly deserve. Due to the staffing ratio of approximately one CNA for every sixteen residents (based on timeframe of observation). In memory care, where residents often rely heavily on guided assistance, this level of staffing makes it difficult to ensure everyone's nutritional and emotional needs are met. The decor is a bit minimal and basic, although I was impressed with the therapy gyms, and the courtyard was nice. Rooms are spare and small, although bathrooms are wide and have roll-in showers. The message here is is take care of your health, people. If you are lucky enough to have healthcare, use it and don't neglect your checkups. Save for retirement and beyond. Rant over.

Heritage has been amazing. Managing her meds, being available as much as she needs them. When she was in the hospital they even came to visit and talk with her. I so appreciate all of their help during these very difficult times. And the best part about it... she likes it there. The food is good. The staff is helpful and friendly. Mom was 95 and needed a smaller, more nurturing environment. Now, at 100, she is still there. I can't say enough about the wonderful staff all the way from the administrator to the cleaning folks and kitchen help. I never worry about Mom and recommend Heritage Woods %. Is is definitely a 10 out of 10 in my book!!
