The receptionist was the rudest girl I have ever met. The nurse that called us back was not friendly. When the doctor came in she blew me off, wouldn't listen to what I had to say and dismissed me. When we left my mom saw the staff in the back grinning and snickering at us. One man threw over his shoulder "have a good day". I drove an hour to be treated this way. I will never go back! Dr. Serena Vance was warm, friendly, and took her time with me. Every other doctor I see here has made me feel like I am a burden to them with any questions. She answered me with time and concern. I think I have found the doctor I have been so desperately looking for and I would recommend her to anyone. She is very knowledgeable and didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all.

He then began pushing medications on me. I tried the samples he gave me but they unfortunately did not work. I reached out to their office several times & my PCP did as well. The nurse finally called me back after a month of calling. I explained to the nurses that the medication didn't work. She exclaimed that they were attempting to get it approved on my insurance. I stated again that I took the samples and it didn't work. I also stated that I felt they were not listening to me. The nurse then started speaking over and went on a spew about other patients, I attempted to speak up but she kept going. I asked her if she was gonna allow me to speak. She then told me, in these exact words! "I'm looking at my watch now so I can know how long I'm giving you the time to speak!" I said "really? This is how you treat patients? You're dealing with sick people everyday and this is how you treat them?!? You should be ashamed!" She got upset with me and began explaining to me about her degree and how she's been working in her field for 22 years and she's stays late every night until 9pm?! She also stated that she didn't judge people on the type of insurance they have! I'm honestly not sure what my insurance has to do with it, or what her degree has to do with it. I have 2 degrees. I asked to speak with someone else in the office and she told me someone else was listening the entire time. But I heard her attempting to explain herself! If someone else was listening, you wouldn't be explaining yourself to them. I asked to speak with someone else again! She started on another rant of what all she does for patients and how Dr. South went to London to get medication. After I let her go on for a full 5 minutes, she attempted to apologize then said "look I don't know what you're on! But I'm sorry". No ma'am! You have already showed your true colors, don't insinuate that I'm "on something" because I didn't just accept your misconduct & rude behavior. If you can't listen to a patient then this isn't the field for you. You were clearly judging me or you wouldn't have even brought up my insurance. You were attempting to be condescending when you stated you have a degree. But what you didn't know is who you were talking to. After I got off the phone with them I then found out that they were trying to push medications through on my insurance that were never even discussed. I've had migraines for 29 years & I've never been treated this way In my life. Looking around the Internet, they have several poor reviews. Well Angela Island, I hope you, Kaitlyn Hester & Dr Ron South are proud of yourselves!
