By the time I finally got fed up, because I wasn't going to continue with this price gouging every 6months, I was paying $431 for the same 10x20 that they were advertising for under $200 again, but couldn't honor me the same rate for a long term tenant. Worse predatory company ever. The pricing practice should be illegal. Then they had the audacity to ask if there's anything they could do to keep my business, after I had already moved out! I asked for a price adjustment to a reasonable rate a few times. Public Storage is a circus and no matter how poorly operated a competitor may be, I'm confident they're still a much better offer. The WiFi for gate and door entrance is also spotty as well and the excessive amount and pricing option to have 24Hr access is ludicrous. You'd figure for $431 a month, one would have unlimited, spotless, and perfect access whenever desired.

This is my first time renting a storage unit, so I had no idea what to expect. My husband and I…read moresold our house in Savannah and had about 3 rooms worth of stuff to store as we temporarily set up in an apartment. The staff here have all been very helpful from check in to moving in. A bonus is their bathroom is really clean :) The lot feels sufficiently secure, where you need to swipe at the gate, then at the elevator again to access the climate controlled rooms. The hallways and rooms are well kept. My only constructive criticism is that I wish there was more light inside the rooms themselves. Each climate controlled room has a gap at the top of the sliding door so the hallway lights flood through, but it's not enough. There was a rat trap in the back of the unit, which we jokingly commented we should get a discount for the 1SF of floor space it took up. It's okay though, if it works then it doesn't bother us. You need to pay an additional fee for 24 hr access, but it's completely worth it in my opinion since their hours are a bit short. With the one way rental, we also received a free first month (trip needs to be over a certain number of miles from store to store). The lady that checked us in also adjusted the lock price because the in-store price was less than the website price - woo hoo!

He stated that the trash people had already ran so I asked them like you guys just couldn't like sit he said no so I noticed that I had a cooler that was in my property and it had my wife's gun in there. The cooler was closed, but due to not being able to have food in the unit, that's what prompted him to go in the cooler, but once he noticed that it wasn't any food in the cooler, but there was a gun he decided to take my wife's gun out of the cooler and give it to the police. I never knew it was a crime for someone to store something in their unit when he was the manager Donna Jackson available he says she's not on the clock, but she's here meaning I couldn't talk to her so when I was asking, what do we do from here like isn't this some privacy invasion he stated I needed to call Elm Ridge police I feel like this place is a big scam. They didn't proceed to tell me after they call the police on me because the guy said I cursed at him, but I never cursed at him didn't even raise my voice. He perceives to go to the front of the building go inside lock the door put a sign on the door and they call the cops. The cops come and talk to Donna Jackson. she finally comes from the back. To tell them that they don't want to go along with my contract anymore for me to move my things out of storage by the end of today. All because I was asking for a manager this is crazy if you store anything at this place please have a big rat infestation the place is just not be.

BEWARE - BAIT-AND-SWITCH PRICING!…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience with this company deserves one. I chose Firehouse Movers because of their glowing Google reviews, and their initial estimate was very competitive. Unfortunately, the final bill was a complete shock. To begin with, they insisted on a virtual estimate and refused to come out in person and assess the job. This was a 5000 sq ft home full of furniture, and I wanted the most accurate estimate possible. I asked multiple times for an in-person estimate, but my requests were declined. By moving day, I had sold two-bedroom sets and several other large pieces of furniture that were included in the original estimate. Even with significantly fewer items to move, the final price was more than double the original estimate. On the day of the move, I somehow went from needing two trucks, as stated in the estimate, to four. And from 9 to 17 total man hours. At the end of a long day, my husband just wanted them gone, so he reluctantly paid the bill before they could log anymore hours. When I called to discuss the bill, Firehouse claimed I had verbally approved the additional associated costs over the phone, citing a recording, which was completely false. I have asked multiple times for this recording, but I have not received it. That was not a small miscalculation. Our move was grossly underestimated. This whole experience felt misleading and dishonest. Stay away.

I didn't try it but I think there was a snowball's chance in hell I was going to be able to make that work at my existing storage facility. Enter Secure RV. This place is primarily designed for storing RVs so the rows are nice and wide and the parking spots are too. This makes picking up and dropping off the boat a breeze. This facility has 24-hour access with your own passcode. Rates were about $60 for outside parking, and $120 for covered parking. Parking spots are 10 x 30 or something like that. If you have an RV they have an onsite mechanic and various other services.

Secure RV is a great storage and repair facility in south Prosper. Great location and great people…read more I don't store there (because I can't get in) but I had to get some repairs done quickly for a sudden vacation to Yellowstone. I wasn't expecting that anyone could do it in a week, but they got it done. The prices are competitive and there is someone on site to help with questions, propane or parts (unlike most other storage places around here).
