They were very calming and reassuring on the phone. Realizing that I was about to lose my life's work, which was saved on my hard drive (don't ask me about backing up) they told me that they felt sure they could help me. Two technicians came out to my house, but to no avail. My computer was infected with a deadly virus. With a lump in my throat I watched my computer carried out the door on the shoulder of aforementioned technician. They promised to let me know something as soon as they had the problem pegged. Not two hours passes before they called me with a diagnosis. The good news is that these people know what they are doing. Not only did they make my computer well, for a reasonable fee they installed the latest software and an excellent firewall. No more viruses for me. If you do a lot of work on your computer, or just enjoy emailing and playing around on The Net, then you know the horrors that can come with computers. For those of us not so tech savvy, Computer Renaissance is a breath of fresh air. They reinstalled my computer, and I was up and running, all in two days. They even called me and checked to make sure everything was as it should be the next day. For my sake, I hope I don't need their services again. I decided on the screen and it took about a week for it to be received and replaced. I was told that the computer would be ready at a day and time. I showed up and was relatively calm when it wasn't. The woman in the shop called the tech guy and he offered to have the laptop delivered because I don't live in the area. The cost to repair was lower than the estimate so I am less peeved about the delay, and we did receive it the same evening. And the tech managed to manipulate the cover so it fit together. All in all, I'd try Lopez Computer again, but now I know to be less definitive with the timing of the repair.
