Blonde - sort of IPA, not our favorite Sour - Hubs says it's ok, not great. All in all - we'd come back, the view of the water and the outdoor space is nice. Since moving to Tampa, we have been to In the Loop twice now. It's up in the Land O'Lakes area, about 15 minutes north of us in New Tampa. Both times we have been here, the experience has been great. The place is mostly outside. They have a small indoor seating area and some expansions in the works I believe. Both times we have gone in the evening and it's been nice and cool out, so being outside hasn't been a problem. You walk in and head over to a small deck where the ordering counter is. They have a decent amount of beers on tap as well as some cans and bottles. The servers are knowledgable about the beer and always offer up samples before you order a full glass of one. All the beer we have had here has been good. They have a wide variety, lagers, ales, IPAs, sours, whatever you're in the mood for. The outdoor area is the main place people hang out and it's very well set up. Plenty of places to sit, stand, relax. There are chairs surrounding a fire-pit under a large tree with lights strung up everywhere. They have corn hole and a bocce ball court which is also pretty cool. One thing we have noticed is the crowd. Both times we have been here, little children are running around screaming and playing tag. I've seen kids at breweries before, it's nothing new to me, just seems like this place is popular among the young parent types. Great brewery with a chilled out atmosphere with a great view of Lake Padgett. I tried a flight of beers that included a blonde, pilsner, browne ale and a dunkel. All four of the beers were good. The dunkel was my favorite. I was very happy to see a wide variety of beers. The back deck is large and has two fire pits. There's also a bocce court. There are a few seats inside, so if the weather is bad that might be an issue. They don't serve food, but they have regular visits from food trucks. read more

I'm not a beer drinker, but my husband is and I love the atmosphere, so I don't mind joining him to hang out. I love that it is family friendly and that they have food trucks and music. My only complaint is that I always seem to end up being poured a wine that's been open for at least a day and beginning to turn. I wish they offered splits so that the wine would always be fresh. There were only about 10 or so on tap and most were guests taps. I just didn't really love the choices. There were a few sours, a few ipas just nothing spectacular. Relaxing I've drove past this place for years. Finally got a chance to stop. At this visit there was many lighter ales and lagers available. " Blake's cider" pineapple passion fruit and guava. The porter " hello darkness my old friend" was very smooth, coffee flavor. Sour "summer lovin'" citrus tropical very tasty. Considering the warm local climate, the ample selection of lagers is a welcome difference from most micro breweries. read more

Lots of IPAs, ales, and pilsners on the menu. Their only stout was the oatmeal stout and it was very good. What makes this brewery is the outdoor vibe. Plenty of tables, games, great views make for a really relaxed atmosphere. On a chilly afternoon we got to sit next to the firepit and just chat with some regulars. The only reason this was a 4 star review instead of 5 is because of the service. The bartenders didn't really offer up any info on the beer, even though we asked. They also never let us know that flights were available, despite us trying to ask about it. The actual beer was good. Not great, but good. The beer that I enjoyed the most was a beer from another brewery. That works for me, but something of note for those of you who identify as beer snobs. What a great location, right on a lake in a beautifully restored old house in Land o lakes. This area was definitely in need of a brewery. It has all the makings for a fabulous brewery. They have events here, plenty of space outside to accommodate a large amount of people and a large grassy area for extra parking. They don't have any food though. They had 6 of their own beers on tap which is an increase from the last time I was there. They probably had another 6 guest taps as well as bottles /cans of beer. I have been here several times and I'm just not impressed with their beers that they brew. I want to love it so much, I challenge them to step up their brewing game, and add some food choices, will bring this brewery over the top. But other than that everything else was great, bartenders very friendly and accommodating to try different beers (I tried all 6 in the loop brews) I ended up with a Funky buddha ipa in a can and my boyfriend had Hops for teachers. read more

A hidden gem tucked away in the heart of Land O Lakes. The owners and staff are very nice and more importantly, knowledgeable about the beers they pour. The views of the lake are breathtaking. They host special events all the time! I attended a DIY workshop at The Loop recently and had so much fun. The first time we went it was in the late afternoon on a Saturday and we did bring our kids (ages 10, 11, and 12). They had fun playing giant Jenga and the corn hole toss. You can bring your own food in which is great since they only had one food truck. Flights include 4 beer samples for $10. With how big the Tampa Bay craft beer scene has gotten, it can be easy for some of the smaller breweries to get overlooked. Although not exactly centralized to everybody across the bay, it'll be worth your time to come check out In the Loop if you're in the Land o Lakes area. Located appropriately right on a lake, this brewery is definitely a good place to bring everyone along, including the kids and pets, as In the Loop is both family and dog friendly. There is plenty of outdoor seating available in case you want to stay outdoors while having your beer. I came here on a Sunday afternoon and there were approximately 12 beers or so on tap with about half of those being In the Loop, with the other half being guest taps mostly from around Tampa Bay. If you're into sampling lots of beers at breweries you haven't been to before, they do have flight options and smaller pours available. It came out to be around ten bucks for a flight, which is decently priced. The flights itself are pretty unique in how they're served - the glasses surround a lantern that you can carry around by its handle. I can't say I've seen that before. All of the beers were at least pretty good and two that I really enjoyed and would get again were the New England IPA and the Scalded Foot brown ale. For that specific style of beer, I'd say it's definitely two of the better NEIPA and brown ales I've tried. Being in Tampa Bay, there are a number of craft beer options available, but In the Loop is definitely worth a try and should be a good time for you and your whole family. read more

My friend & I discovered that this brewery hosts Goat Yoga Tampa about twice a month. The Property is right on a lake in Land O Lakes and very peaceful. There are arirondack chairs around a firepit in 2 different places outside and there is inside seating as well although there is more room outside. The goat yoga was so much fun! Afterwards The brewery gave everyone a free beer which was included in the price of the yoga. I opted for the chocolate peanut butter stout which was amazingly good! it wasn't too bitter which is what I like. After that I bought an apple cider which was also excellent. I only wish that this brewery also served food. However the owners are fine if you have food delivered. We had a sub shop deliver some subs to us. Great place! We went on a breezy Sunday. It was shady, refreshing and an open atmosphere. We went with a group of parents and toddlers. It is perfect for them. We finally have a family brewery in Tampa!! I'm not much of a drinker but I was able to find this champagne concoction on the menu. It tasted great. My friends complained because the bartender was too slow. He didn't know how to work multiple customers. He spent so much time with one that the wait became long. Also no food here. Not good. We were starving. A friend ordered some food in. We thought food trucks would have been there. Lots of games outdoors to keep my son interested and a great rock/sand pit. Loved our recent trip to In the Loop Brewery! The outdoor area is absolutely awesome! There is a view of the water, plenty of seating, fire pit, and games to keep you entertained. We placed life size Jenna, Corn Hole, and Bocci ball. There is indoor seating as well with a few TVs. There is an upstairs but it was closed when we visited. Our only disappointment was there wasn't many of their own beers on tap. There are a wide array of others, but we were excited to try some of theirs. We've visited many of the breweries closest to us, so we took a short "road trip" to "In the Loop" Brewing and were impressed. The taproom appears to be in a repurposed house, which means there's several small areas to socialize in, but the best part is the back patio with a lakefront view! (Most other breweries have a scenic view of a busy street, a highway, or an industrial park) . I'm an IPA fan, so I has their "New England IPA", which was good, but at 4.0 ABV, was not as strong as I prefer. My wife had their brown ale, which she said was also good. Because we live about an hour's drive away, we're not likely to be regular customers, but we'll sure return if we happen to be in the area! read more
