I went for the full package: haircut with wash, paraffin treatment for my hands, and face, neck, and scalp massage. Plus, a hot lather shave with an additional facial massage. The result? My haircut is fine--not "$77 fine," but fine. It's not exactly what the associate and I had agreed upon, but passable. The pampering was pleasant--not Middle East spa pleasant, but pleasant. The shave, however, was not okay. Not just "not $65 okay," but "I do it better myself in front of the mirror" not okay. When I got home, I was greeted with: "I hope you didn't pay for that shave." The left side of my chin had a small patch of blood oozing (not much, but still--not $65 okay). My jaw still had noticeable stubble, as did the area under my chin. It didn't look tidy. The staff were very polite, helpful, and kind--though perhaps a bit too sales-oriented. For a total of $130, I expected more--especially in the delivery of their core services: haircut and shave. It's a pity. I really wanted this to become my go-to barber. But I'm still looking for the right one. 2 stars.

I struggled to find a hairstylist that was as good as her. When I returned, I knew I didn't need to find a new barber, as she always took care of me before. She is a master in the art of hair with a side of expertise in humor. First, we asked for the Rooster Club Cut which is supposed to come with shampoo/hair massage; he got neither. We were charged $25 for the haircut, and I'd have been fine with that had the haircut been decent, but it was not. We specifically asked for scissors on top, and clipper size 2 on the sides. Pretty basic trim and nothing extra. What we ended up with were entirely crooked hairlines/sideburns. Worst of all, he now has a clipper-manufactured hairline on his forehead (why?!?!?!?) that is also crooked and not symmetrical. So in summary, his hairline on his forehead, sides, sideburns, and back of his head are crooked and not symmetrical. To add insult to injury, they're not even clean lines. Needless to say, we will not be returning. I wish this Rooster's location all the best, at least, for the sake of their customers.

Needless to say, when you find a good hairstylist, take their name, schedule your next visit in advance because they fill up fast. However I am very keen on giving people a chance, today I granted David a chance, he had availability that fit my schedule. I came in, promptly greeted, paid my 50% deposit online at the time of booking. Booked service for cut, and style, let him know the specifics of what I wanted. I want long layers, but it doesn't need to be exact, it can be a rough cut, just want my ends trimmed, and thinned out/ texturized. Things were so seamless, that I questioned if he put heat protectant spray before blow drying my hair. Which he did, but it's important for me to ask anyway... A tip; No person on earth can just read your mind, so say what you want, and ask questions along the way and if the vibe isn't right, you know what to do! I'm happy with my results for my cut, and he asked if I was happy with length, and texture/ thickness/ thinness and more. Hair grows folks, so don't be too harsh! Enjoy!
