She responded back to my schedule request very promptly with additional info on parking etc. She offered me beverages and we even watched some stand up on Netflix while she cut my hair. Love my haircut. Her attention to detail is hard to find especially in barber shops with high traffic when they are rushing to get you in and out and on to the next customer. Paige does not rush. I've now gone twice to Grow Barbershop, with excellent results both times. Let me also say that Paige, the proprietor, takes a strategic view when necessary, as it is in my case. I have a serious thin patch on my admittedly older pate but benefiting from my original hairline as I do, Paige planned out how she might be able to keep everything in trim while growing out just what I need for cover. Her plan is working and I see improvement after just one repeat visit. Naturally I will be returning to continue the project. It was a Friday evening and I got what was easily the worst haircut in my life, at a men's salon chain that will not be named. I reached out to Paige via Yelp to see if she had an opening Saturday to fix it. She asked for pictures of the cut so she knew what she was dealing with, and she took me that Saturday morning. I had a great experience here. There's a better vibe here than other barbershops. You receive a focused 1 on 1 experience where your hair is the center of attention. There's no awkward salesmanship, and there's no rush to get you in and out the door. I felt relaxed while getting my hair cut. I also had a nice conversation with Paige. She was nice to talk to, and she doesn't force a conversation on you which I appreciate. I could easily just sit back as my true introvert self and be entertained by watching Netflix on TV. As for the haircut itself, Paige did a great job analyzing my hair. I always have a hard time describing what I want, but she easily figure out what I was going for. It's also nice that she actually explained to me how she was going to cut it. She also shaved the back of my neck, washed my hair, and styled it. In the end I was very happy with my hair cut! So I highly recommend this place. Final thought, is "hair cut" one or two words? (haircut?) I've been getting my hair cut by Paige since before she opened her own place. I followed her here because she's a perfectionist that cares what my hair looks like even more than I do, and I'm basically OCD with having things in place. She legit examines for a single hair left too long or out of place. She finds it. She fixes it. All while you watch Netflix and have a drink it you want. I moved from right down the street to Spring and I still make the drive. I even tried to branch out and found a girl right across the street up there that did an excellent job. She really did good!
