We had SEVERAL moments where we were in over our heads and Lisa was quick to pick up the phone and help us navigate through every detail. She was able to suggest other vendors we were in search of and dining options to fit our every need. She's professional, responsive, kind, understanding and most importantly, GETS IT DONE. Erin, one of the other planners on the Storybook team was part of our Wedding Day as well and she couldn't have been more a DREAM. She was quite literally at my side for the entire day until I walked down the aisle. Let me also mention we had 6 flower girls that were running around in excitement and Erin handled the chaos with such compassion & grace. She is professional, organized, empathetic & completely ON IT. She provided me with everything I needed and had forgotten in the few remaining hours before the wedding almost instantaneously while easing my mind until the doors opened. Our wedding would not have been the same without Storybook. I honestly don't know how we would have pulled it off without these women. We had 16 people in our bridal party, 6 flower girls, 3 ring bearers, our ceremony musicians cancelled 3 days before our wedding, I had blisters the size of my toes the morning of the wedding. I could go on and on about my worries.... but it all ended up PERFECT because of Lisa and Erin. Throughout the process, I never had a doubt in my mind that it would be perfect, but I'm here to tell you that these ladies pulled it off to be more than I could have ever hoped for without a hitch. EventZ Brings Details Alive with Grace…read more I loved working with Z on an intimate but detail-filled wedding at The Grove Redfield Estate. Z worked her tail off to make sure that every detail was in place so that when the guests arrived, everything was calm and lovely. There really were a lot of details on this wedding and although I saw how hard she and her team were working, the guests and couple never would have known it. And that is the key to a successful wedding day! Good coordination and planning can make zen out of chaos and Z has got the talent. She was also super fun to work with and as a vendor, a good and fun team makes what is often a hard and stressful day way more manageable and enjoyable. However, I quickly realized that Zakiya's partial planning services would be much needed in the months leading up to my wedding, especially given that her rates were competitive given her experience. From our very first screening call to the follow-up on the days following my wedding, she executed everything perfectly. She is organized, detail-oriented, professional, and a great leader. She has professional experience in the event planning industry that shows in the work she does for weddings. I received so many compliments from my family and friends about her! Our planning meetings were productive, and our rehearsal and wedding day went off without a hitch thanks to her perfect day-of timeline and her direction and leadership of my team of vendors. I was on the fence about hiring a…read morecoordinator, but planning a wedding in Chicago from Denver is no joke, and I decided a little help wouldn't hurt. What I got instead was A LOT of help. Jordyn was professional, kind, incredibly detail oriented, put out every single fire that came her way (usually without me even noticing), and absolute pleasure to work with. I was already feeling so happy with our decision but there were two things that really took me over the edge. In general, I was a pretty relaxed bride and had virtually no special requests except: I wanted to walk down the aisle to a very specific moment in a very specific song. Jordyn heard the song twice at our rehearsal and somehow did magic math to figure out how to space the bridesmaids so I would walk out at the perfect moment -- and it was perfect. Second: I was famished after our ceremony and hadn't told anyone, but like clockwork, the second our last picture was taken, Jordyn arrived with an entire TRAY of apps for my husband and me. Right after our first dance, she arrived with a cocktails without being asked. Not only is this lovely lady wonderful and hardworking, she's also the cutest and the funniest, and it made me feel like I had a trusted friend working the operations department on our wedding day. Cristina took care of everything. She made the process goes so smooth. I only had to show her pictures of what im looking for. She made everything looks even better than the pictures. She was there any time I texted or called. Even the other details like my cake, stage and other things, she made sure the colors would go together and the theme would be one. She worked so well with all my vendors, some a little more difficult then others - but you would never have guessed by the way she was able to pull everything together. When the day finally arrived and I walked into our venue, my jaw dropped. I could not believe how amazing everything looked - I had a vision in my head but Alysson really pulled everything together and it looked 100% better then anything I could have ever imagined. To give you a better picture of what she had to work with, our venue was at an art gallery, aka a blank canvas. Everything had to be brought in by separate vendors - catering, rentals, decor, lighting, alcohol, desserts, etc - which took A LOT of organizing. On top of that, I work in the creative industry and have a passion for DIY, as does my family. We had a lot of custom ideas and hand-made decorations we needed Alysson to coordinate. It was a lot of extra work, but she seemed to breeze through it all. On top of all that, Alysson was a lifesaver throughout the wedding itself. We reached out to Clover about four months before or wedding, desperate for help in coordinating the overwhelming array of vendors we had secured. Niki jumped right in, and took over as primary contact with the space, the caterer, the photographer, the staffing agency, and everyone else. Our stress level dropped immediately and dramatically, giving us the space and time to focus more on the meaning and excitement of our impending nuptials. Niki met with us on several occasions and set up a variety of very helpful walk-throughs with various vendors. So many times throughout the process my then-fiance and I said to one another "How could we ever have done this without Niki?" Niki was so professional, thoughtful, attentive, patient, kind, flexible, fun, and supportive throughout the entire process. She was incredibly organized and detail-focused but not in an excessive, pushy, or overbearing way. It brought us a tremendous amount of peace to know so many very important details were in her very trustworthy hands, and she proved to be a very resourceful, calming presence on the actual day of the wedding. We were tremendously blessed to have her help with our very special day. If you are about to get married, do yourself a favor and hire Niki Gubernat to coordinate it.
