Our first impression upon arriving at The Cotillion Banquets in Palatine, IL - for an upcoming wedding venue selection visit, was the grand and opulent exterior and ample parking lot. Our team from Luxe Décors and Events, LLC, was greeted by George, the director and information specialist on everything you hoped for, wanted and envisioned to happen, at The Cotillion Banquets in Palatine, IL. George is beyond warm, pleasant, professional, knowledgeable, charming, gracious, efficient, and oh so very skilled at listening to what you would like to accomplish for the event, that you have been hired to do. We hit it off with George IMMEDIATELY upon meeting him. He took us on a guided tour of The Cotillion Banquets, explaining to us in measured detail, what was at our disposal, to ensure that we would be able to do everything that we had planned, and be able to provide our clients - the wedding of their dreams, with regards to their décor and wedding theme. The staff at The Cotillion, under George's dedicated, experienced and genuine love and pride for what he has been doing for so many, many years - also reflects the outstanding service provided by everyone at The Cotillion Banquets. The kitchen staff, is beyond kind, truly professional and obviously loves what they do. The table settings were impeccable. The food - all freshly prepared by The Cotillion staff - is simply AMAZING !!! When we first arrived to meet with George and get to see what The Cotillion had to offer - we had already been informed about the superb level of service and the first class menu selections. The Cotillion DID NOT DISAPPOINT. We were also introduced to the owners of The Cotillion, who were also so genuinely kind and considerate, obviously wanting to also ensure, that we knew they were available, should we have any additional concerns. The Cotillion Banquets in Palatine will forever be Number One on our recommendation list for any and all events, which we are privileged to manage. We cannot say enough about ALL that George did to make this wedding event so beautiful, memorable, classy and successful. No matter how skilled, talented, or experienced an Event Planner is - without directors such as George at the venue site - who can offer their kindness, experience and support - an event will not be as successful and seamless as you may have envisioned. We at Luxe Décors and Events, LLC, are eternally grateful to you George, your staff and the owners - at The Cotillion Banquets in Palatine - for your genuine friendship, guidance and assistance, in helping to make the wedding event on November 22, 2024, the elegant success that it was.     My wife and I had our wedding here this weekend and I could not speak higher praise of LaMirage…read more We do not know how to even begin to properly convey how grateful we are. A thousand thank yous would not be enough for the incredible job LaMirage did this weekend. They have our never ending appreciation for the amazing work they did for us; our wedding was everything we had envisioned and much, much more. When we started considering venues, we knew Lamirage would do an excellent job as both of us had family that had married here before. This is a staple Eastern European venue in the Chicago area and its hard to find someone in this community who has NOT been here. Still we had a lot to consider, and chief among them was cost. Ruslan worked with us on the budget and let us tailor the perfect reception that was a good balance of decadant and affordable. He offered very good advice on what to keep, what we could substitute, and what we could do without entirely. He was very objective and did not pressure us into adding anything we did not want. In the months leading up to the event, our correspondance was with Victoria. When the details all started to get jumbled in our minds, she was able to keep everything straight. She understood that this was our first time planning a wedding and there was just so much we didn't know to do. We probably made her job very difficult but she was only ever calm and collected, always pointing us in the right direction and reassuring us that things will all work out. I think what my wife and I are most impressed with is how smoothly everything came together on the day of. I know it was not easy with an event that had so many moving parts, so many different points of contacts; I'm certain that it seemed like they were all planning their own seperate weddings! We recognize all the accomodations, flexibility, and attention to detail they had to exhibit to make the day go smoothly and certainly there was so much more behind the scenes we couldn't even comprehend; they shielded us from any problems that developed and for that their efforts will be remembered forever. The food was incredible. We of course could barely find time to eat a thing; we stuffed ourselves on pelmeyni and garlic potatoes (amazing!) between bouts of toasts and dancing but couldn't find time to try everything. On the next day from what we took home everything tasted great! If that was what was LEFT OVER, I can only imagine how good the things that got gobbled up tasted. Of course this is all Russian Banquet style of food. If you are at one of these events, this is what to expect. I'm sure there are many people out there who had no idea what they were signing up for; your typical "chicken or fish?" reception is not what you are here for! The accomodations are also top notch here. There is a seperate locking bridal suite with a private bathroom, a safe, and constantly repleneshed pitchers of refreshments. Never could I have predicted how useful that would be. They also had hired security ensuring the gift table was always monitored. That is a detail we did not even know to consider and Lamirage took care of it. We could not be happier with our choice of venue. Our only reservation when we were picking LaMirage was the fact that SOO many of our family members had already been wed there, but from our very first meeting with Ruslan, we felt comfortable knowing that no effort would be spared to make the day unique to us, and that is exactly how it was! We will never hesitate for one moment in recommending LaMirage to our family, friends, and hopefully one day, our children! Thank you to all the Lamirage staff from the bottom of our hearts.
