**Floral Arrangement Class** I wanted to try something different for a small team building event. I found In Water Flowers through a Google search and of course looked it up on Yelp for reviews. The reviews were solid and it was easy to get in touch with Natasha to book the class. Usually their minimum for classes is 7 people but because we wanted a day-time event (1:00 - 3:00 PM) they were able to accommodate my small team of 4. The classes are held in the flower district at 658 Brannan St, off 6th Street. It's a big facility that can host up to 24 people (call to confirm that number). We arrived 30 minutes early so we were able to walk around the shops and check out some vendors. I love fresh flowers so I had a good time just checking out what was on sale. With the skills I learned at this class I will definitely take advantage of that marketplace! Natasha and Andre were GREAT teachers, very friendly and passionate about what they do. We watched Natasha put together three beautiful bouquets. Andre gave us tips on how to "process" the flowers and how to hold and arrange them. It was fun and I feel like I learned a lot! They provided the lesson, flowers, vase and equipment for us to make our own arrangement to take home (see pic). I really enjoyed the 2-hour session. I can't wait to try it at home! read more

My sister and I were hanging out in the Fill about 2 years ago checking out the stores one afternoon and both HAD to stop and check out this store. It's awesome. We were totally admiring the orchids and various, modern vases. They had beautiful arrangements and a nice selection of flowers. Plus I think it's a cool name for a flower shop. It's a little in the more pricey side (it is the Fillmore after all!), but it's worth the moeny if you want fresh flowers. My sister bought me some flowers since the gift she got me for my birthday got lost (via the internet!). I had told her that no one's ever bought me flowers. Nothing like getting someone flowers who'd never received them before! The flowers I think lasted close to 2 weeks, I was amazed. They may not be quite as large as you think they will be. But they do create stylish and sophisticated arrangements. 6. Most of their arrangements are relatively low profile. We used In Water Flowers for our wedding and we couldn't have been more pleased. In Water was one of the best priced of the 6 florists I interviewed which, when combined with their unique look, was a steal. Natasha ROCKS. She has an unflappable, friendly demeanor and always kept in contact. Not only did she listen to what I wanted and *didn't* want, but she helped me refine what I wanted, as it's hard to plan floral decor for a large event like a wedding if you've never done it before. I bought a beautiful exotic orchid a few weeks ago, but it died within two weeks despite good care. I returned it to the store, and an employee promptly provided a store credit. However, when I tried to redeem the credit guy with short hair and a French accent (who I think is the owner) refused to honor it! I had to force them to call the employee directly to verify that they had indeed given me the credit. I am always in awe of the beautiful flowers and wreaths that are handmade at In Water Flowers! Their bouquets are always fresh, unique and last longer than those bought at other florists. Each time I've bought a bouquet here for my home or for friends, everyone always compliments it and wonders where I bought it! They have a nice selection of pre-made bouquets or you can have one custom made w/the flowers and size of your choice. There are some of the most beautiful handmade wreaths here too! I bought one for my home and just love it, it's a favorite decoration of mine! It is very rich in color, leaves and flowers don't fall off of it and it is very dense w/leaves, flowers, fruits, etc. If you desire, they'll also custom make one for you in the color palette and flowers of your choice if there isn't one in the store that works for you. It will take a week or so to order it. The wreaths are a bit expensive, but something I will keep for awhile and enjoy, so to me it is worth it to have a quality, handmade decoration. Service was very friendly and helpful without being obtrusive when you want to browse and I love the fact that they are more than willing to make a custom bouquet or wreath. They provide florist services for weddings. I would recommend In Water Flowers for your florist needs and I will continue to shop here. read more

In Water Flowers came in clutch! I'm sure Valentine's Day is like Black Friday for Florists, but these guys delivered my order on time and with a great attitude. On Valentine's Day, I place my order online at 11AM. I had forgotten to add a personal note so I called in to get that added. Rebecca helped me out and was very polite and patient even though I am sure they were quite busy. Since I had just placed the online order, the order wasn't showing up in their system immediately but Rebecca told me she would make sure my personal note was added. I called back a few hours later to confirm that the order did indeed show up and yes it had. Rebecca told me she was keeping an eye out for my order and personally added the note. I asked about delivery time (I needed the order delivered by 5pm but they told me delivery was anytime before 6pm), and Rebecca assured me they would do their best to get it there before 5. My order was delivered around 4:30pm, right on time! Thanks Rebecca! The price is a bit steep for someone who is unfamiliar with the flower world and doesn't buy flowers often, but seeing the smile on the face of your loved one after doing something special makes it all worth it. This review is long overdue... I can't even describe how ecstatic I was when we picked up our wedding flowers on our way to city hall. Natasha wasn't sure she could get the chocolate cosmos I had requested late in our discussions, nor did she seem too excited about it at the time, so I pretty much figured it wasn't going to happen. But there they were! I was so thrilled she was able to put together a bouquet just as I wanted. I didn't put much effort into planning our wedding, so the fact the flowers turned out perfectly was amazing to me - everything, from the boutonnieres to the centerpieces at the reception. Before choosing to go with In Water Flowers, I was sure they were going to be extremely expensive, based on the floral displays in their storefront and simply being located on Fillmore Street. But they were definitely the most reasonable florist that we came across and I fell in love with their simple and elegant designs. Natasha was also very patient and helpful in educating us about different flower types, bouquet sizes, etc. One caveat: It is best to communicate with them via phone or in person (I was lucky enough to live nearby so I could pop in when I hadn't heard back via email). Guys, let me let you in on something (in case you hadn't figured it out), chicks love flowers. Quick side note: Real flowers, guys, don't you dare show up with fake flowers. No! Never! I don't care how "realistic" they look, just don't do it. Now, if you are heading home and you stop at the grocery store for milk or something, and you just feel like getting your girlfriend/wife flowers, you can grab a bouquet right at the checkout counter, and it's a sweet gesture for sure. But sometimes you need the big guns. Anniversary, birthday, or maybe you're in the doghouse big time. Well, my friend, in that case those grocery store bouquets just aren't going to cut it, and you're going to have to cough up a few more bucks and go to a florist, and not all florists are created equal. In Water Flowers is top notch. Yeah, they're a little more expensive, but the quality of their arrangements, their customer service, and the reaction that you'll get from your girlfriend/wife makes it totally worth it. Don't believe me? Then bring her home an arrangement from Safeway one night, and then an arrangement from In Water Flowers on another night and gauge the reactions. I was surprised when In Water Flowers appeared after searching for "budget wedding florist" on Yelp. I've always noticed their gorgeous arrangements passing by and just assumed they would be way out of my range. But after reading the positive reviews, I decided to set up an appointment with Natasha - and I am so glad I did. Natasha was SO pleasant and easy to work with. After our first meeting, I knew she understood the look I was going after. The most amazing thing is that she came in UNDER my budget! Natasha was the one keeping me grounded and suggesting creative alternatives so I wouldn't go overboard. It was so refreshing to work with a wedding vendor that had valuable input and wasn't trying to take everything in my bank account....and my left arm along with it. I wish I could give her 10 stars. All of my arrangements were stunning - I still receive compliments on them! Natasha can certainly make something distinctive and unique. Thanks so much to In Water for saving me from a Bunches Direct wedding flowers disaster! I contacted them the day before my wedding because the bouquet and wrist corsage I'd ordered from a supposedly very reputable site, vetted by many popular bridal shows and magazines, had arrived both crushed and not as ordered. Not only were they able to make me a bouquet on short notice, but it was also much more beautiful than the one I'd designed online. They didn't think they'd be able to get all of my requested flowers on short notice, but they did! It was perfect! They even added an additional flower that really made the rest of it pop. The ONLY reason this isn't 4 stars is the price. Yes, I know that Pac Heights is pricey, but I also know exactly how much these flowers and greens cost floral professionals; $180 for a 12" bouquet and $45 for a 4" wrist corsage is quite the markup. If you've got the cash or in a jam, I HIGHLY recommend In Water!!! read more

Fell in love with some dramatic fan-shaped palm leaves displayed in tall opaque resin vases in the window and had to stop in. Not only would these palm leaves last for a month, they would be showstopping in a tall arrangement in my living room! And the price was totally right too.... I recently got married a couple weeks ago and am starting to write my reviews on vendors I used. In Water is my first because of many reasons. They were by far the EASIEST of vendors to deal with and did the best job. I would 100% recommend In Water to do wedding flowers. I went on yelp and noticed the high ratings which is what led me to choose Natasha and her team. I went in once to talk to her and literally she knew exactly what was right for my wedding. She knew my venue and gave helpful suggestions and told me she would help create my vision. We literally only spoke a couple more times and she had everything ready when she said she would. She was professional, timely, responsive and super organized - exactly what I look for in a wedding service. She even gave me her cell phone so I could reach her all the time! Is that service or what?? I was able to call her whenever I needed and she instantly responded and took care of me. Natasha was by far the best vendor I worked with throughout my wedding. Oh and the flowers, AMAZING! They were fresh, lush, and everything I could've asked for! She got everything right and above & beyond my vision. Our bridal bouquets were perfect- pricey, but worth every penny. I will try to post pics for everyone to enjoy when we get them from our photographer. Natasha did a preview of them which was a lifesaver b/c when I saw the preview, it was honestly the ugliest thing i ever saw (mini-roses) that looked half-dead and sparse, and it was a honest miscommunication, but I almost lost faith b/c I thought no once can possibly think that is pretty, so why would she think I wanted that? Out of sheer luck, I saw another arrangement that day that had cyclamen flowers to help fill in space and that is what made the final bouquets perfect. They isle decor was a little blah, but I knew the ultra light pink hydrangeas that I wanted were not easily obtainable, unless she was going to local neighborhoods and cutting them off their lawn. The centerpieces were very pretty, will also try to post pics of those. Those were a little pricey, and we could have done those ourselves for a tiny fraction of the cost, but it would have been a hugh headache, not worth it at all read more

In Water Flowers came highly recommended as a wedding florist. After going through the process with Natasha, now I understand why they are so great. From the beginning Natasha was professional and showed her expertise. She was already familiar with the venue (Golden Gate Club in the Presidio) and this made all the early conversations go very quickly. This was important because I had to plan the wedding fairly quickly and didn't have a ton of time to agonize over little things. She has a great photobook of her previous designs and was quick to pick up on what I liked and didn't like (she even managed to help negotiate the differences in what I liked, from what my mom liked). I also appreciated that she worked hard to align what I wanted with my budget by giving me a lot of options and educating me along the way. A couple weeks prior to the wedding we had a dry run on my bouquet and finalized all the arrangements. There were some minor adjustments and then I was done; I mean done worrying about the flowers. She took care of everything from that point forward. I had tremendous confidence that she would do a good job and she did. The flowers looked amazing, everyone complimented how nice they made the GGC look and I LOVED my bouquet! read more

I recently got married at City Hall and ordered my bouquet and my husband's boutonniere from In Water. Originally, since we were having such a small affair (only 6 witnesses at the ceremony and then 14 guests for our dinner at the Ferry Building), I didn't feel that it was necessary to do all the "traditional" extras. And honestly, I was suspect as to why whenever the words "wedding" or "bridal" were added, the price seems almost exponentially higher. However, once I decided to have a florist compose my arrangement, my decision to go with In Water was easy. And that was the most difficult part of my florals--everything else was so seamless. Nicole answered the phone when I inquired about pricing. (And my intention was that it was just going to be an inquiry as I had a few more florists on my list.) But she was so informative and genuinely helpful, that I decided to go ahead and place my order over the phone. I am pretty particular about things and had a clear image in my mind as the flowers and color scheme. Nicole knew exactly what I wanted...I sent over a few images of other arrangements that I liked. The bouquet turned out beautifully! Living in the neighborhood and having worked on Fillmore, I know that the street is not inexpensive. However, I feel that my bouquet was worth every penny! I always find unusual flowers there, and the staff, especially Elise, are always happy to give me an impromptu lesson on the flowers I'm looking at. Definitely worth the trip to the Fillmore! I ordered my bridal bouquet and "personal" flowers from In Water (my friends and I did all the table arrangements and such). They were beautiful and not outrageously priced. I needed some flowers for a wedding shower and decided to go to In Water because I had seen some of their arrangements before. I received one myself as a gift last year. They are quite distinctive looking and last a very, very long time. Natasha and the others in the shop were a delight to work with, and the arrangements they created for me were a huge hit at the shower. The guests were oohing and aahing over them endlessly. They got more attention than the bride-to-be. I can't recommend In Water highly enough. Stop by and you'll see what I mean. A word of warning though: watch out for the traffic police on that stretch of Fillmore, they're ruthless, and quick little devils. read more

I live in CO and ordered an arrangement online for a good friend in San Fran who was diagnosed with cancer. Apparently, 3 people had orders him the SAME arrangement the day before, so they took the initiative to send a different yet equally as beautiful arrangement to differentiate mine. I recently got married and used In Water. The bouquets and center pieces were lovely, however, I was not impressed by the customer service I received from In Water. Natasha was out of town and had not sent over the invoice yet when she returned sent me a note that I was late on payment. The thing that made me most disappointed with In Water was that I rented Mezzanine branches that had handing ornaments with battery-operated candles in them for the reception - I was told that they would provide the candles. In Water did not include candles and the branches did not look good nor did they pop the way I had wanted. I wouldn't have even bother renting them if I could have foreseen this. I would not use In Water again nor would I recommend their services to other brides. read more

Review for their flower school: When YouTube videos were falling short, I signed up for a hand-tied bouquet class at the In Water Flowers flower school a mere week before I would be making all the flowers for my wedding. Andrei and Natasha completely saved the wedding, the flowers ended up looking great! They emanated amazing skill and ability to not only arrange flowers but also to teach it to students in their studio. In the first hour, they compiled five or so different bouquets, explaining the intricacies of flower care, techniques for arranging them, size/dimensions/color/other aesthetics to make a beautiful arrangement. In the next hour, we put our newly learned ideas to use when making our own bouquets with flowers they provided. Although the class was full, the size was perfect enough for Natasha and Andrei to provide individual attention to each student. By the time I was done, I felt ready to undertake 15 centerpieces, 5 bouquets and 2 altar pieces. Although they turned out great, in retrospect I would've loved a day before the wedding to relax. If I had to do it all over again, knowing their skill and care for flowers, I would definitely choose them to compile flowers for the wedding. I came to the store and ordered an arrangement and a orchid plant. i explained to the person there exactly what i wanted, i don't know what it was about her but she seemed impatient and uninterested. The arrangement they sent was not even close to what I ordered and the orchid died less than a week after I got it. (the new blooms on the flower never opened and the leaves began to die soon after) They look high-end but I found them to mediocre at best. read more

My wife and I purchased flowers for our wedding here. Natasha was very kind in her service and pleasant to work with. She helped think of ways for us to stay within our budget and not spend too much, such as using the altar pieces during the ceremony as the table centerpieces at the reception. We went in really without having much of an idea of what we wanted, but she knew better than to just throw out random suggestions. She asked lots of questions to determine what type of colors my then fiancee wanted. Afterward, she created a sample bouquet for her, which was invaluable because it brought out more feedback, with which she replicated exactly what my wife wanted. Natasha is creative but was not push at all. She insisted on giving us something that we really liked and chose ourselves. The delivery was on time and professional.
