Needed 2 dresses hemmed up and one needed slit closed.I was gonna do it myself.Girls mema said I'll…read morefind one in town.Mema took them to Four Season Fabrics.Mema didn't know how much I had to pay.I messaged the lady and she mentioned how it was gonna cost $95 for both dresses.That she only accepted cash.I already had the cash ready.My youngest daughter went with her dad to pick up the dresses.She didn't bother to check the dresses.These dresses were for a wedding.Wedding was on September 1,2024 in Rapid City.We had to leave Yankton on Friday August 30.I was to get off work take shower pack and leave.Instead I was being told continuously by my daughter while I was trying to get my stuff done that the dresses were not right.This is when I told her why would you not have checked them when you picked them up.Went to look at the dresses and was dumbfounded on how any professional seamstress would think it was ok to hand any customer her finished product and be happy about what she had just handed over.Told my daughter to grab the dresses and back we went .Told the seamstress that the dresses were not right.Showed her what was wrong.All she wanted to hear is what I wanted her to do because she had work she had to finish.I asked her how does a professional seamstress hems some of the dress and thinks it ok and on top goes right ahead and hems both of the dresses.Asked why didn't she call anybody to come look at the dresses to see if they were ok with them.We left the dresses to supposedly get fixed.Came home only to be told to go back and get the dresses.Mema said her and her sister would fix them.Paid over $200 per dress at David's Bridal.Didn't have the dresses hemmed there because they would not be ready by time we left town.I went to pick up the dresses and she had them ready to just hand them over and for me to just turn around and leave.Instead I mentioned to her that what she did was not right.How in the world did she think her work was professional.Asked if I was getting a refund.In reality I wanted her to pay for the dresses she ruined.She said she would refund $85 because she had steamed them.There was much more said.If you want it professionally done definitely do not take your nice items or any item there.On a nice not my husband chose not to ask for a refund because it's a small business and they needed the money.
