A HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE!…read more We had used this company for our tax returns for several years and was audited for 2008 and was notified that we owed back taxes and interest for the returns being prepared incorrectly. So I notified them and asked them to correct my subsequent tax returns and can you believe they did so, and sent me a bill???? And if that is not bad enough, when I advised them that I would not be paying for the "corrected returns", they then sent me a letter saying that they would no longer prepare my tax returns, but in keeping with their professionalism if I wanted them to provide information or consult with a future CPA, they would do so, but at a fee!!!!! They also attempted to release themselves of any future liability. Ordinarily, we would need Commonwealth to provide the method in calculating the depreciation for our rental property, but we hired a CPA who was able to figure it out. We also learned that it was not necessary to have our one rental house set up as an LLC, thus having to pay for additional federal tax return with Commonwealth. When we began using Commonwealth, they were located in Alexandria, but then moved to Fredericksbug. So they charged us $25.00 for each fed ex they sent with our tax returns. In finding our new CPA, we also saved more than 50%. So there is a silver lining in everything, I suppose!

We filed a complaint with the Virginia Board of Accountancy and were informed that an audit was expected to take place at the end of last year. We have not received any updates on the outcome. We also hired an attorney, at our own expense, to formally present our concerns to Sareene Tax and Associates in an effort to seek reimbursement. They stated that no mistakes were made and have not reimbursed us for any of the expenses we incurred. In our view, the errors were clear, and resolving this situation was both stressful and costly. For these reasons, we cannot recommend this firm.

She recommended outcome-based bullet points that highlight the benefits and quantify the results rather than a laundry list of tasks. Katherine was friendly and thorough and even had enough time to quickly proofread my hubby's resume. It was really nice to get an extra set of eyes! While the $299 starter package seems a bit pricey, it's a good deal considering that you are equipped with the A team of an interviewer, drafter, and editor. They will rewrite your resume and can fine tune and belt out those bullet points. While my resume could use a few tweaks, the starter package is a great option if you're looking for a resume overhaul without doing all the guess work.
