Simply the best! I reached out to YES career coaching…read morebecause I was feeling stuck and ready for a change in my work. My resume was OK, but I wanted to put my best foot forward. The team did a fantastic job on rewriting my resume, cover letter and LinkedIn profile. I ended up applying to a handful of jobs and got an interview immediately. What ended up happening though is that during the resume rewriting process, I developed this newfound confidence in my work that I never had before and I was going to go after what I wanted to do. I started to network with people that I knew in my area at different companies and ended up with an opportunity that was a perfect fit for me. Since I was a referral, the management team was not too focused on my resume but I ended up getting the job! I am thrilled to start this next chapter of my career and I have to thank YES career coaching for guiding me to see the light I had inside of me so that I can show up and be the best version of myself. Highly recommend!!

My 30 min consultation with Katherine was really helpful! I learned formatting tips and ways to beef up my resume by adding a header, summary, and core competencies and creating sectional dividers. She recommended outcome-based bullet points that highlight the benefits and quantify the results rather than a laundry list of tasks. Katherine was friendly and thorough and even had enough time to quickly proofread my hubby's resume. It was really nice to get an extra set of eyes! While the $299 starter package seems a bit pricey, it's a good deal considering that you are equipped with the A team of an interviewer, drafter, and editor. They will rewrite your resume and can fine tune and belt out those bullet points. While my resume could use a few tweaks, the starter package is a great option if you're looking for a resume overhaul without doing all the guess work. I found the resume consultation surprisingly useful. Would highly recommend it and consider the packages!

Matt is a godsend!…read more Being out of school and working in a technical field for years, I decided to seek assistance in writing a law school personal statement. I originally decided to go with one of the well established companies, but quickly realized I was paying far too much for my needs. That's when I contacted Matt and wished I had done so in the first place! From the very beginning, Matt was focused on ensuring the best possible story was being presented. In our first meeting he determined that my initial draft was good, but there was a better story to be told if we took the essay in a different direction. From a single meeting Matt was able to extract a story that best represented me. That simple change, and some additional polishing, resulted in more acceptances than expected and many large scholarships. I was even wait listed to reach schools. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome! I was so impressed with the personal statement, that I continued working with Matt throughout the application process all the way up to and including letters of continued interest. For the amount of work Matt condenses into an hour consult, his rate is a deal! I could not be more thankful for all the assistance Matt provided. He is definitely a great asset to anyone willing to reach out and listen to his advice. I almost don't want to post this review for fear of revealing an untapped resource, but feel not expressing gratitude to be far worse. I highly recommend him and will definitely be referring people in the future!

Matt is a talented and insightful editor and I believe his recommendations helped me secure the…read morelargest possible merit award for my graduate school program. I am a competent writer, so I felt reasonably confident about my grad school personal statement. That said, I know Matt's gift for narrative and wanted his help taking my work to the next level. When I sent Matt my draft, he thought it was very strong overall -- but he immediately saw a way it could be more compelling. My essay began with a description of some life experiences that impacted my decision to pursue graduate study. Matt suggested that I open the essay with a more personal narrative, offering a vignette told in first person story form, as a means of drawing in the reader and maximizing the impact. In order to accommodate the narrative opener, I streamlined the whole of the essay. The final product was not only more compelling, it was more concise. In the end, Matt's recommendation turned a good essay into an extraordinary one. In an email from the Director of Admissions, I was informed "the faculty loved your application and rated you very highly. Your story is a very interesting one." The merit award I was offered was the maximum available. Without it, I wouldn't have been able to afford this particular institution. I'm also being considered for field placements that are typically reserved for second year students. I believe that the strength of my personal statement will positively impact the whole of my grad school experience and my relationships with the faculty who read it. Matt is an award-winning radio journalist. He knows how to craft a compelling story and will help you do the same. Working with him was a pleasure, and I highly recommend you contact him if you need help with your own admissions essay!

I selected Etcetera based on a call with Joaquim during which he displayed insights into the specific needs of the technical language involved which reassured me that his team was professional. I was also impressed by the service aspects: quick turnaround and express mailing of the document plus notary certification within two days. (In contrast, one service I called in California was vague and who didn't even "hear" on the phone that I was living in Washington DC not Washington state. This is enough to raise questions in my estimation as to their specificity and detail-execution.) Within a short time of sending my letter to Joaquim, I received an email in response and within two days had the express mailed documents in hand. The extra mile they went, to verify the medical terminology with their Spanish editor/translator was appreciated. The price for the meticulous and professional service was fair. I enjoy leaving positive Yelp reviews for businesses such as this that do a terrific job. I intend to use their services again when I need important legal paperwork.

We decided to create a small internal video editor that would allow us to quickly create this type of content so that producers could do it themselves without delegating these tasks to editors. This is a tool for internal use, so it's unlikely I can provide any detailed details. In any case, we saved quite a lot of time for our editors and automated the video publishing process. Our small web internal video editor project includes a fairly standard video editor interface with a timeline and a preview window. The tool allows you to upload several videos, crop them, move them around the timeline, add certain editing effects, titles and sounds, speed up or slow down the speed of video playback, and scale video fragments. The final step is to render the clip in multiple video formats. This greatly helps us expand our channels faster and helps us gain subscribers and distribute content.
