Bedford Children's Center has been the perfect fit for our family! We've been at BCC for the last…read more3+ years and have nothing but positive things to say about our experience there. Jill and her team are the very best! They provide a loving and nurturing environment that we feel so lucky our kiddos are a part of. They have a school-wide curriculum with age appropriate activities for each classroom and lots of fun themed days/weeks... the last several years they have had an annual Art Show and Trunk or Treat for families, which has been so nice to feel involved in our kiddos' school community. Communication has always been great and we've never felt badly reaching out about the tiniest things ("did we leave the baby's milk cup?".... "did she finally stop crying after I left?"...). Most importantly, the teachers are all amazing and truly have gotten to know our kids and feel like family to us. They are kind, approachable, and consistently work wonderfully with both of our children and their individual needs and we feel so grateful for that! We feel so lucky that BCC is where our kids began their childcare/education and are so happy it is where they will be until they transition off to Kindergarten.

While Bedford Children's Center has amazing and dedicated teachers who truly go above and beyond…read morefor the children, the program, as far as I know, is not designed for children with special needs. Children requiring different routines and attention can sometimes disrupt the schedule and sleep of other children. The director often reprimands the teachers very harshly in front of anyone, which is unprofessional and uncomfortable to witness. I strongly suggest she reconsider her approach and treat the teachers the ones who make parents feel confident and happy with the respect they deserve. As a parent, I want the best for my children while I work a place that can provide comfort and proper rest. We pay a lot of money to ensure our children's routine and sleep are respected, so it is disappointing when these are disrupted. Please do not misinterpret my words, and I apologize in advance, but there are many parents who are not happy with the disruption to our children's routines, especially when there are other centers designed to meet the needs of these children. The teachers are truly the heart of the center and the only reason I would recommend it.

Lacking Empathy and Basic Human Kindess…read more I had been hired by Kiddie Academy with the hopes and promises of advancing my career in early education only to find discrimination and cruelty. They have admitted to being against hiring males specifically and fired me as soon as they found out I had become homeless. I had worked hard for the short period I was there and gave everything they demanded as quickly and efficiently as I could just for them to terminate me for reasons out of my control. As soon as the Director, Nancy, was told I was living in hotels due to my mobile home being crashed into by a snowplow (enough to have left damage making it unlivable) she fired me. It did not matter how good of a worker I was for them, she discriminated against me due to my currently living hardships and in turn making life in general much harder after letting me go. I had even turned down other positions for this job just to be treated in this way. On top of all of this, I still have not been paid for my time there AND Nancy tried to cut down the hours I would get paid. Are these the kind of people you want teaching your kids? Lacking empathy and basic human compassion, sexist, do you really want your kids growing and learning from an environment and people like that? Trust me, if you love or care for your child, you will go elsewhere because they don't care about your child just the money they bring in.

*UPDATE 2026* My original review was based on my toddler…read moredaughter's experience, and now that our son has also gone through LPC, I can't reiterate enough how positive of an experience we've had with this magical place. LPC has truly become part of our family (so much so that we return for alumni events each year!!). The staff, including the new director Karen, are doing a wonderful job creating a play-based environment where children are encouraged to be curious, imaginative, and kind. Both of our children thrived at LPC. They developed confidence, independence, curiosity, and meaningful friendships in an environment where they felt safe, supported, and genuinely cared for. As parents, there is nothing more reassuring than this. Highly recommend!!

*UPDATE 2026-06-04* : Don't trust the positive comments! Right after my initial negative comment,…read morean updated positive comment appeared. There hadn't been a comment for years! That doesn't look like pure coincidence to me at all. A truly safe and well-managed daycare should address parents' safety and communication concerns directly, rather than PR management. ORIGINAL COMMENT: Our experience at LPC was disappointing, especially considering the cost. What concerned us most was the lack of transparency and communication when issues arose. Over a relatively short period of time, our child came home with multiple injuries, and we often felt we were not getting clear explanations about what had happened. Some incidents were not documented, and attempts to discuss our concerns did not lead to productive conversations. We also noticed a level of stress and low morale among staff that made us uncomfortable. Every family has to make their own decision, but based on our experience, we would not choose this center again. Not recommended at all.
