I have been with incite tax and accounting for over 10 years. Every year I had the same CPA, she retired and then they shuffled me around to different CPAs all of them not able to follow the tax strategy we had set up over 10 years ago and my liability increased every year. This last one was outrageous as they filed a return off of a P&L statement for a completely different business I own. Then I got charged over 2k for them to do all this and screw me. Found a local small guy charged me 200 for personal, 150 for each business and I tipped him about 500 for the trouble he eliminated which is incite. DO NOT USE THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. The communication is sparse, they hire DEI folks, they don't give a crap about helping with anything they treated me at the start like a partner then that quickly moved into I'm a number on someone's spreadsheet and zero communication for months on end...still never filed my 2026 return and it's Sept...thank heavens I found a replacement. read more

I just paid another $396 in penalties for underpaid state taxes after Incite's end of the year review said I was all paid up. I fired them and they continued billing me for another 2 months. I had 3 tax preparers in 2 years. This year I'll go with Turbo Tax and see how that goes. Steer clear of Incite. Their slogan is "The IRS Sucks." My conclusion is that Incite sucks. read more

I used Incite Tax for 2 years, and was not overall impressed with them. The first year, they did handle the taxes portion well and I had no hiccups through the process. The second year, I've had the worst experience filing my taxes that I can remember. Both years they have been extremely slow in correspondence, and reluctant to answer questions, which is aggravating at times. For the second year, Incite filed my taxes incorrectly which led to $4,017 being taken out of my bank account by mistake. I sent them an email on May 4th inquiring about the funds being taken from my account. I had to call 10 times over the next 2 weeks just to find out what was going on. I was told 4 separate times the amendment would be filed "within the next couple of days" to which I would then have to call again and ask what was going on when the deadline passed. The employee handling my case drug his feet so much, that after 3 weeks I had to ask for a manager to step in on my case. That was on May 26th. I received an email from the employee handling my case on June 23rd (again prompted by me emailing him first) that my amendment was finally filed. It took from May 4th through June 23rd to just file my amendment, 50 days. According to the SC dept of Revenue, the amendment is still going to take 12 weeks before I am refunded the amount. In the time span it took to file the amendment, I never once received correspondence from them without me having to prompt it. Whether by text, email, or phone call. I even recommended them to several friends after the first year, but after this year, we have all decided we will no longer be using them for our taxes. I was very disappointed. read more

I started a new business in May of 2025 and had a great phone consultation with an Incite tax guy that really got me excited. I submitted all of my tax info and they responded that they received it and would let me send me my filing for signature when it was done and if they need anything else they woud ask. That was in March. I have tried to call several times and have sent email and am totally ghosted but they keep charging me for services and that I the only communication that I get from them. Member of incite tax service and pay about $110 per month to do 2024 taxes and now 2025 taxes which required a down payment of $3000. The 2024 taxes were done ok which is why I gave them 2 stars. 2025 taxes still not done yet and needed an extension even though I submitted documents before the IRS deadline. The issue with them is their portal and delays to do taxes, you will have to re- upload over an over again until they find it. Its possible they have received the document and this is used as an excuse for the delays. The other issue is the delays. Its been close to 2 months since the extension. I have asked for a refund with no response. They simply don't care and don't work in a timely manner. The representative assigned to me responds to my many messages only when he feels like it. I reached out to the supervisor to help expedite and complain. That hasn't helped or solve anything, but to ask me to submit a document again that I already told her I submitted. Save your money. In reading the reviews here and their responses. They are highly aware how bad they are doing and its not getting any better. They obviously have too many clients and don't have the manpower to support them. read more

I could have spit bullets when I received an email that they were filing an extension for my 2025 taxes on April 14th. I've sent emails, but there have been no responses. RUN, DON'T WALK! Most expensive purchase for a horrible experience. We purchased Incite Tax Services through Prime Corporate Services. The tax subscription is not cheap ($3k+ $99/month for personal taxes + $75 per month for corporate taxes). They completed one personal tax that includes our LLCs and one C-Corp quarterly tax for another venture. During my entire time working with Incite they were non-responsive and when they did respond it was weeks later, conflated details between my personal and c-corp taxes, and never delivered on a tax strategy that we paid for. Major overpromise and under deliver. I've requested to cancel my C-Corp tax service on May-22 of this year and no action has been taken. I'm surprised that Prime Corporate Services continues to offer their package after numerous escalations. read more

It's 2025 and i still don't have my 2023 refund. I filed late but i got my state refund immediately. When my return was sent to me for signature the refund was $~800 which didn't sound right but I'm not a tax professional. I got a letter from the IRS to call and verify my identity. I did and they said i was good to go and i didn't have to do anything else. It's several months later, no refund and evidently my refund is supposed to $~2000. I tried to call the IRS but i haven't found a way to get past the automated attendant. So i wait!!! read more

Started with an awesome consultation at first, thought they were really going to help me with my tax strategies with being an new business. They got my LLC done very quickly and then that was it. I paid over $3500.00 to sign up and then 99.95/month that supposedly goes to paying next years taxes, hell I can't even get this year's taxes done!! They do not return calls, had to file my own extension despite being told that if that had to be done, it was included in the exorbitant fees they charge every month. I am a brand new business with no income for 2025 (started the business late Nov 2025), therefore they should be able to do my taxes fairly quickly as there isn't much to them right now. Just absolutely horrible to work with. The 1st time I complained in early March, it took 2 days to return my call and I was requesting a refund, however, he said to let him see what he could do, I received phone calls and communication from my assigned tax pro the next day and she said she had never received any of my messages and asked about the number I was sending to, I gave her the number and she said that wasn't her number and supposedly gave me her direct number and email address, guess what, haven't been able to get a hold of her since!!! I called the primary line 2 days ago and said I wanted to speak with someone immediately and was told no one was available and he would expedite my concerns (spoke with Stanley), guess what still no return phone call, email, text or anything. There are still files in my portal that i submitted 25 days ago that are just sitting there "pending review". If I ever get a hold of them I am requesting a refund and will try to find me someone else to do my return ASAP so that I'm not waiting until the extension deadline to have them completed, at this point I don't even know if there is even anyone there to actually work on taxes!!! Shame on this company for charging such exorbitant fees and shame on me for not digging deeper in my research of them, NEVER AGAIN. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY FOLKS!!!! Stay away! We had multiple years of bad experiences. They have poor communication, forget to process your paperwork, use a dysfunctional app, and are completely impersonal. It was our mistake for repeatedly using their services. Apparently there is some yearly service agreement you automatically agree to when you use their services. Trickery! They charge you a fee the following year, whether you opt to use them or not. We know others that are not totally happy either and will be spreading the word. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Incite Tax & Accounting has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing companies I've ever dealt with. I highly recommend checking their BBB (Better Business Bureau) page before doing business with them--something I regret not doing sooner. You'll see exactly what I'm talking about: one-star reviews across the board, and for good reason. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. After dealing with a completely unhelpful and unresponsive representative the first time around, I was issued a credit and reassigned to a new rep. I thought things might improve. Spoiler alert: they didn't. It's now been over four weeks of trying to get help--multiple emails, multiple phone calls--and not a single response. No callbacks, no support, no customer service whatsoever. It feels like I went from the frying pan straight into the fire. I was eventually told I was being escalated to their support team. That was 9 days ago, and despite two more emails and two more voicemails, I've heard nothing. This company clearly does not care about its clients once it has your money. This was such a disappointing experience for my husband and I. We had recently just opened up a business and needed someone knowledge about filing the correct tax forms and information properly and promptly. We had filed our own taxes in the past but decided with this additional part of our lives, we needed professionals. Enter INCITE tax. We signed on with them at an UNGODLY amount of money per month and for what? We had one 15 minute phones call with a so called "tax expert" who then did not file our taxes on time and we had to request an extension. We emailed our tax person multiple times looking for a response and it was never given after our taxes were filed. Then, we emailed them asking for our "once a year" meeting and laid out our questions specifically. It took 7 weeks, 3 emails and 2 phone calls to get our tax person to respond with "yeah throw some time on my calendar". Our questions were specific and needed some follow up, so when we were only given 15 minutes I sent an email requesting 30 minutes. Never heard back and then the day of our appointment, she kept us at 15 minutes and didn't really answer any of our questions. I just called today and asked for a partial refund because I'm sorry, $250 a month to get NO SERVICE WHATSOEVER is absolutely crazy to me. I truly feel scammed. I hope that if people look to INCITE tax, that they have a better experience, because now we feel screwed over and very weary of any tax professional. read more

PB Pros, the company we had only started using in 2022, sold to Incite Tax. When we found out, we called Incite to get the details. At that time, we were told that we would have a Client Manager assigned to us (as we had at PB Pros). After trying multiple times to get 'my' Client Manager to call, we were told that the plan we 'signed up' for (we did NOT sign up for a plan with Incite) will cost $350 per hour to speak to a CPA. This is an unethical business who refuses to honor the plan we were on when being purchased. A classic case of the innocent being caught in the middle of two companies who couldn't care less about their 'valued clients.' Both companies have earned a one-star review from us. read more

Run as fast as you can away from them, they are all sales and no service. They took my money to do my tax returns last year and all documents were provided. It was a simple year to do. But after the deadline I had to find out on the IRS website that they never filed my taxes and now I'm being charged delinquent filing fees and I'm on the IRS's radar and had to spend more money hiring someone else. They didn't respond to my calls or emails about this. The only correspondence I received was them asking to set up a call to do my 2024 taxes! This company went through a merger, and evidently only certain accounts were transferred over to them. Instead of them being proactive by communicating to clients informing them of the status of their accounts, they waited until the client contacted them. When Incite tax was contactedthem they had no clue and they sent me a link that advised me to email Irssucks.com.. that is very unprofessional and ridiculous for a tax services company to have that kind of email. After approximately three weeks of emailing, calling I was finally able to get a hold of additional phone numbers and was able to reach someone with common sense. The individual gave me a number to the company that my account. As a result of this horrific experience with Incite, I would never trust these people with my tax information and I urge anyone out there that's looking into them as a company of choice please do not use them because they do not have their stuff together.. read more
