Our filing appointment was so simple and they were knowledgeable on every step and had answers to every question we had. At no fault to them, our tax return got delayed and we got a letter from the IRS saying we were only getting a portion of our refund. I called Dallas and he spent 1+ hours with me on the phone with the IRS getting it sorted out. Long story short we got it resolved and I couldn't have done it without him! (I don't speak taxes). I used Incite Tax for 2 years, and was not overall impressed with them. The first year, they did…read morehandle the taxes portion well and I had no hiccups through the process. The second year, I've had the worst experience filing my taxes that I can remember. Both years they have been extremely slow in correspondence, and reluctant to answer questions, which is aggravating at times. For the second year, Incite filed my taxes incorrectly which led to $4,017 being taken out of my bank account by mistake. I sent them an email on May 4th inquiring about the funds being taken from my account. I had to call 10 times over the next 2 weeks just to find out what was going on. I was told 4 separate times the amendment would be filed "within the next couple of days" to which I would then have to call again and ask what was going on when the deadline passed. The employee handling my case drug his feet so much, that after 3 weeks I had to ask for a manager to step in on my case. That was on May 26th. I received an email from the employee handling my case on June 23rd (again prompted by me emailing him first) that my amendment was finally filed. It took from May 4th through June 23rd to just file my amendment, 50 days. According to the SC dept of Revenue, the amendment is still going to take 12 weeks before I am refunded the amount. In the time span it took to file the amendment, I never once received correspondence from them without me having to prompt it. Whether by text, email, or phone call. I even recommended them to several friends after the first year, but after this year, we have all decided we will no longer be using them for our taxes. I was very disappointed.

The first thing I…read moredid when I got access to the portal was upload my current Year to Date earnings so he could do estimated tax payments for me for payroll. He did create the S Corp for me. He did process payroll once for me for Q3 for the only employee I have, but I don't think he ever looked at my info to figure out payroll for myself. When I uploaded everything for him in January 2024 to process Q4 payroll for my employee and do my payroll he was a ghost. I texted and called him multiple times through the month to make sure he had everything and see if he needed any clarification to no avail. On the 30th I sent another text asking if this was going to be done by the deadline and he finally responded, saying that they'd get it done. Nothing was done, and he's completely ghosted me at this point. No response to texts, and phone calls ring once or twice and get sent to voicemail. I'm going to dispute the $1500 I paid him with my merchant and report to the BBB to see if I can recover anything, because at this point I'm going to have to pay all my payroll taxes for 2023 at once, AND the 10% penalties for myself and my employee that were never filed with the IRS. PLUS I have to hire and pay a new firm to try and make sense of all this and see if there's anything that can be done to minimize the fees for him not submitting anything. Then when we received an IRS notification letter about a gross error he made on our federal return, he would not return our emails or calls asking for his help in responding to the IRS. We have been told that we need to amend our tax return, at a significant cost, due to his error. He is completely avoiding us and his responsibility to correct his mistake. According to what the other Yelp reviewer wrote about him, this unprofessional behavior is a common practice for him.
