As working parents that took a huge weight off, and they were always easy to work with on timing instead of making us feel like we were asking too much. The other thing I really noticed is how well they handle boys. My son has a lot of energy, and they knew how to keep him engaged and actually learning, not just telling him to sit still. The teachers clearly get how kids that age really are. It is a small school with warm staff that treats families like they know you. I would recommend it to any parent in Palm Desert or in the Cochella valley area.

My son had evaluation for speech therapy in which when I started services with let's talk they told me that they would have morning available appointments after we did the evaluation we would be able to get started. Nothing was mentioned about months and months long waiting list. After my son had his evaluation no follow up was done at all with me. I had to call back multiple times myself and inquire about what was going on in which I was told his report was being completed and after that they would call me no call ever came. I had to keep calling them back five weeks after his evaluation they finally told me that he is on a waiting list for 3 to 6 months and I don't even think they would've ever told me that if I didn't call myself. Again I have no issues with the office. I really enjoyed the therapist and I wish that my son could start services there but 3 to 6 months is just a really long time when looking for early intervention.

I really appreciate being able to work at my own pace while still having support when I need it. Throughout the school year, I felt comfortable getting my work done and staying on top of my responsibilities. I was able to accomplish a lot, and a big part of that was because of the support I received from the staff and the people around me. Whenever I needed help or had questions, there were people willing to guide me and help me keep moving forward. I think the flexibility Altus offers can be especially helpful for students who may not thrive in a traditional school environment. Being able to have more control over your schedule, choose classes that fit your needs, and work at a pace that feels manageable can make school feel much less overwhelming. At the same time, students still have people there to support them when they need it. Overall, I'm grateful for my own time at Altus. The combination of flexibility, support, and being able to work at my own pace helped me accomplish more than I expected, and I think Altus can be a great option for students looking for a different approach to education.
