Having it a smaller school is a plus and having a low teacher to student ratio is a plus. I so appreciate the staff and especially the director Ms Ramina. Since coming to DOL I feel it's a better place for my children. Look forward to continuing working with her for the remainder of the school year.

If I may add, many people believe that this school is a "scam" per say. I absolutely disagree, yes…read moreit has its flaws but do you honestly think that your student deserves to be downfall by others who think this school is terrible. This school has led others be the bright student they really are. Many mainstream schools push there students to the max about there stress, self esteem, and making them think that your grades are all that matter. Yes it's true school is important for your future to a extent. If you really put your mind into it you will succeed by how will you do that if you have 1 hour worth of school work with each subject, that's 7-8 hours of school work at home, 8 hours of school, 8 hours of sleep, and then what about personal things. There are only 24 hours in a day. This school allows you to succeed in your daily life without having stress that can last a life time. Now let me tell you it's not for everyone It really isn't. You have to give it a chance. And for the ones saying kids are failing it really isn't the school fault because teachers are available in any way there is no excuse. Now let me ask you this are you willing to put your child in a life time trauma or are you willing to let a school have your student thrive in what they love to do, because it all matters in what your student really wants.

Summer camp review. The programs and counselors are amazing and deserve 5 stars. However, the…read moreprogram director does not. I spoke to Dallas in the spring and explained that my six-year-old daughter has moments of high emotion and might need extra support. I let him know I was available at a moments notice to give her my support if needed. After a lengthy conversation I was assured she would be welcome. She went for almost two weeks and loved it. Then one morning she had a meltdown because she was sad her friend was in a different group, and she needed extra emotional support from the counselors. I was called to come back, which I did immediately. When I arrived she was in the hallway talking to a counselor and looked like she'd been crying. I thanked the counselor and took my daughter to a room where there were art supplies so we could talk and draw while she worked through her feelings. Dallas came in and said that it had required several counselors to give her support and they didn't have the resources for that. Because of the previous conversation we'd had in the spring, I took it more as a complaint rather than she was being kicked out - my fault, I guess. When she calmed down and wanted to go back in, I took her back to where the kids were playing and she rejoined the program. As I was leaving I ran into Dallas and told him what was happening. At that point he said no, she needs to leave, we don't have the resources to support her. There was no kindness, no second chances. He just kicked a six-year-old out. I had to go get her and drag her out while she sobbed and asked why she wasn't allowed to stay. I wouldn't wish the heartbreak and rejection my daughter felt that day on anyone. I emailed Dallas to remind him of the conversation we'd had in the spring, and told him I was disappointed with the lack of care and kindness shown to my daughter. It's been almost a week and he's never responded. I pulled my older child from the camp, and I don't think we'll return. My son keeps asking why they let kids who bully and hit other children stay, but kicked out my daughter. I have no good answer.

BEST WEDDING VENUE EVER!…read more My husband and I dreamed of a wedding where everyone could stay together onsite, immersed in nature, with no worries about driving after a night of fun, and Camp Osito Rancho made that dream a reality. Our families stayed in the health center, lodge, and electrified cabins, while our friends embraced the adventure of summer cabins and tents. The venue offers so many stunning spaces, from the spacious dining hall for meals to the stage/amphitheater with fire pits--perfect for s'mores and late-night stories. We exchanged vows at the top of a hill near the outdoor pavilion, with a gorgeous backdrop of pine trees and a view of Big Bear Lake in the distance. We were able to offer our guests camp activities like archery and a pool day, as well as had room to setup other activities like craft tables and lawn games. The biggest perk was the complete freedom to choose our own vendors, allowing us to create a truly personalized experience (huge shoutout to Scratch Kitchen for catering--our guests still rave about the food). We spent a year making signs, collecting décor, buying solar lights, and crafting to transform this Girl Scout camp into a full-blown wedding festival. If you're up for planning the details, this venue is the ultimate blank canvas. Last but not least, the Camp Osito Rancho team is absolutely amazing. A huge thanks to Angel for her help throughout the year, Ryan for his help throughout the weekend, and to Gerardo for the tour that sold us from the start. For a wedding that feels like an unforgettable getaway, this place is pure magic
