But this update is to acknowledge that in the nearly 6 years since I posted my initial review, the owner (Don D) has spent more time commenting on my review asking me to take it down than he has in actually creating happy customers. The best way to counter a negative review like mine is to make changes in your shop (better lighting, better quality jewelry, cleaner shop, sober artists, no smoking, etc, etc, etc) then actually have happy customers who want to share their opinions on Yelp. Otherwise, the folks who had a negative experience will be your voice in the world. And my experience of Legacy Tattoo? Still negative.

My lady has a permanent reminder of a tattoo artist who didn't follow directions and was so stoned that he told us his personal theology (in a nutshell: the Virgin of Guadalupe is actually a vaginal conduit between the spirit world and our world) about eight times. Unprompted. Oh, right, and the old guy who does piercings? He's a total creeper. He asked to see my body piercings no less than four times even though I was just buying a labret stud. I'd recommend all of them, although Pari was supernaturally fast with her piercing experience (3 helix's). No joke, it took under 5 minutes to place, prep, pierce, and clean up. The piercing itself took about 3 minutes to actually get the needle inside and the piercers arm was shaking while doing it. Afterwards, it was not cleaned properly and blood was still in and around my ear after just leaving the shop. Very disappointed, I was excited for this piercing but unfortunately I had to take it out and now wait for it to heal before going to a reputable piercer to get it repierced. Will not be going back here!!
