Wonderful brewery and top notch customer service. I bought a six pack of peach bum IPA from a local liquor store and found part of the beer had cogulated. It was still drinkable, but I emailed the brewery to let them know. They were already aware of the quality issue and working to remove that batch of beers from the market. However, they invited me to stop in at the brewery so that the could replace the beer for me. Not only did they give me a new six pack of IPA, but they gave my sister & I each a free pint at the brewery. I loved the beer I tried there (hibiscus shenanigans) so much that they also sent me home with a free small growler as well. I already loved this brewery before this happened, but this just makes me love them even more. I cannot recommend this brewery enough! read more

Ok so I did not actually get to make it out to the brewery but I had the Pistachio Cream ale in town and this is the most amazing beer ever!

I am a long time fan of Indeed! I can't even think of one time I did not enjoy this tap room! Most recently I have been going back a lot more! The staff behind the bar is fantastic! They are nice, knowledgeable, and just are killing it! I am obsessed with strawberry Fields but, you can give me a shanannigans or day trippwr anyday. I love when they are creative and do fun things like all the versions on strawberry fields flight night. Oh the wooden soul series is just fantastic! Their sours are out of this world good! I am weirdly not the biggest LSD fan but, I would never say it's a bad beer. Just not something my buds enjoy regularly. read more

Of the 8 breweries I visited, this one really stood out. First of all, my favorite pour-the-beer person, friendly and informative, and had all the answers to my breweries in Minneapolis questions. Second off, my love of the Loretta's Lager knows no bounds. If i lived in the area, I would stock up on that delightful beer and get fat enjoying the hell out of it. I also tried the Honey Ale, which was a little sweet for my tastes. Loved the area, industrial rebuilding into breweries is a great idea. The trains, the ice sculpture, the bright open space. Northeast Minneapolis has become the Mecca for craft beer in MN, and Indeed Brewing encompasses the spirit of NE. It is artsy, independent, a little retro and fun. The setting for both taprooms at Indeed has the charming brick and timber look to it, paying homage to the old brick warehouses and factories in the area. Now, the beer. Indeed has a wide variety of flavors of beer, ranging from the very light and refreshing pilsners to creative IPAs, even offering seasonals like a winter warmer or the pitch black russian imperial stout, Rum King. Indeed is my wife's favorite brewery, hands down. Parking can be an issue, so just park on the street, but that isn't a deal breaker. A must try is the Mexican Honey, kind of an imperial pilsener with a honey addition. The Wooden Soul series is very good sours, with a changing variety of sours throughout the year. If it is winter, I would highly recommend a Rum King. I prefer this over "Darkness", and the best thing is I didn't have to camp out overnight and wait in line for 6 hours to get it! Hands down, Indeed is one of the best breweries in the metro, and I am very excited for their plans for 2017. Now, its almost time for happy hour. Better get over to Indeed! read more

Great brewery! I've never had a bad beer here, and I've tried quite a bit of their different types. My favorite has been the day tripper, that's light and great for warm weather drinking, but still packs a punch of hoppy flavor. I also tried their Lucy sour last time I was in, that had great flavor without being overly pucker worthy. They have a great atmosphere and a nice patio. The only draw back is it's a bit small and seating can be hard to find during peak times. But hey, that's the price of going to a great brewery with high popularity. I'd definitely recommend checking them out if you're in the area. read more

The bar is almost three feet deep, the music is loud - please don't talk to the bartender. I'm here at 10:45 (they close at 11:00) and the staff is furiously cleaning the place. Maybe wait till the customers leave...or at least 11. Four people behind the bar, didn't see one of them talking to a client. The beer is great. Indeed has always been one of my favorite breweries in town, lover their beers and taproom. I went this past weekend to see all their standard beers are 8 dollars and their sours are 11....before tip. Seems a bit steep, approaching NYC pricing. I know prices are rising with covid but across the street at Centro you can get their pils and Mexican honey for 6 dollars. I thought beers were supposed to be cheaper at breweries because you aren't paying for distribution and transportation. I think when I go again it will be one and done. read more

I adore Indeed - unlike some of the breweries in the area, they have plenty of room, lots of parking lot spaces, and they have a continuous rotation of food trucks on hand. I also appreciate the fact that they have their standard menu and a special feature that rotates now and then - nothing is quite so disappointing as when you find a favorite and then it's gone. They have a wonderful variety, between their IPAs, Stouts, and sours - it would be hard to not find one on the menu that you and your group like. My personal favorite is the LSD Honey Ale (Lavender, Sunflower, Honey Dates), sweet and not too hoppy. read more

Why yes, INDEED it is! {And considering the growing number of breweries popping up around town, that's saying a lot!} Here's a brief rundown of how they got it goin' on: 1. Food Truck Pairings - In the summer (perhaps year-round), they have a food truck parked in their lot every day they're open...that's right people, EVERY DAY (not just weekends like most). 2. Happy Hour - Not that they have to discount their beer, but Indeed is one of the few TC breweries with a happy hour, which is currently 3pm-6pm Wed-Fri when all beers are $2 off! 3. Dog-Friendly Patio - This is one of our beagle's favorite breweries because the patio is often filled with dog lovers who provide her with copious amounts of attention, and the staff always make sure she's got a fresh bowl of water. 4. Selection + Taproom Exclusive Infusions - Indeed always has their flagship beers (Day Tripper APA, Midnight Ryder Blk IPA + Dandy Lager), but they have quite the list of specialty infusions + seasonal offerings. If you've only had Indeed beer from a liquor store, at a beer festival or at your local watering hole, you may be missing out on some of their best brews. They have different styles depending on the season, but my current favorite is a Mojito Shenanigans (summer ale)...I could drink that All. Summer. Long! The story around your chairs & tables is amazing, and I love going onto your patio too. 2. Those cans and that ARTWORK. Your branding is top notch and so clever. 3. Too early to give a new brewery 5 stars? Perhaps. Indeed has only been operating for a few months now, but they've certainly hit the ground running (and I have no issues shamelessly plugging a local brewery) Indeed had the benefit of starting up after the taproom legislation was passed, which allowed them to incorporate a very cozy (and sizable) taproom into their brewery design, as opposed to trying to retrofit a space as other brewery stalwarts have had to do. The result is a large open space that is inviting and accommodating. There's also a fair amount of outdoor seating when the weather allows it, and typically a food truck on site should the drunchies set in. Their flagship beers, the Midnight Ryder and Day Tripper, are both excellent renditions of their intended styles and the handful of seasonals they have put out so far have been great (especially the Sweet Yamma Jamma, and even more so when it's served on nitro). Given the pedigree of their brewmaster (Town Hall alum for a number of years), I suspect things will only continue to get better. Also, it's definitely worth signing up for a brewery tour, even if you've been on a number of tours at other breweries. Their space is certainly unique, the tour guides are personable and their business model is certainly enviable (especially for us homebrewers that live vicariously through small breweries like Indeed). I'm not a huge beer person to tell you the truth. But there is something about the brews at Indeed that make you want to give them a try. And you should because they'll surprise you. They're easy to drink with good flavor and just want you want on a summer day. I particularly enjoy the fusions that I've had however Shenanigans is my go to. The few times I've been in town with my boyfriend we've always hit up this tap room. The staff has always been polite, with good suggestions and I haven't ever had to wait too long to get a drink. The first time we came here with some friends we were held up at the door due to capacity but not for long and the person at the door was pleasant. The place is a good size, not overly large and has a full size shuffle board (I LOVE shuffle board!!!). Usually some people are playing but if you're around long enough and are quick to get up, you too can play! There are plenty of tables and chairs, plus the outside patio to enjoy. However on busy nights I can see how this might not be enough. As always with breweries, there seems to be a food truck present daily which is great if you get the munchies. read more

Last night was our first time trying out Indeed Brewing. I love all the craft breweries, distilleries and tap rooms in the NE neighborhoods since they are so close to me. This one is located in my old stomping grounds, representing Quincy Street NE all the way! I tried the Lavender and Lemon Peel Shenanigans summer ale and I liked it. I'm not actually a beer drinker at all, but I am one for trying out unique infusions and and I can appreciate the creative craft that is brewing, bottling, distilling and selling one's own beer / cider / spirits. Husband likes the Mojito infusion, and we ended up buying a small growler of it to take home. It's delicious! I also tried the Midnight Ryder American black ale. I was thinking it would be like Guinness, but it was stronger with unique undertones and a bold finish. I probably grew a few hairs on my chest after finishing off the pint. The interior is lovely. Dark and cozy but with large spacious tables. The outdoor patio is very welcoming and pretty. Restrooms are located all the way in the back but once you get there, they are very large and have actual towels to dry your hands, no paper. My favorite food truck was there last night - Anchor Fish and Chips. So that is always a treat, no matter where they are it's always delicious! Good times at Indeed. This was a rough visit. While I can understand that it is an awkward time and special circumstances made this tough, what really fell through for me was the service. Currently, the reservations are timed and I HAD to make a reservation for 1. 60 min, I was a little late because of traffic, so I got 50. The person at the host table left me standing in the rain while they did something else on the iPad for another 5 minutes. I was then sat at a two top, under a dripping umbrella outside.What was left of my time got cutdown more because my server was no where to be found, while two other staff walked by and didn't check on me. Once he arrive, with no urgency whatsoever, I ordered 1 beer and he disappeared again. About half way through my beer I gave, up went to find him, couldn't and tabbed out with the only other staff person I could find to help. A friend had requested I pick up something specific for them, so I asked where to find to-go, which sent me back outside under a tent. They wouldn't bring the to go order to my table while I waited, but I'm not entirely sure why. I can give a lot of space for our current situation, and you can't control the weather, but good service you can control and this was just disappointing. read more

the building itself was very cool with a ton of exposed brick and local art on the walls. We had to wait 30 minutes to get in because apparently they were over the amount of people allowed as per fire code. We were there early on a Saturday afternoon like 3 pm and it was packed! So we did get in you have to then stand in line in the center of the bar and wait your turn for your beer. We got a few selections for the table-the black beer, a brown nitro, a brown with some berries, and day tripper. I like beer but hated each and every one of them. Horrible after taste and all very hop forward. It is crowded noisy and not fun in my opinion! read more

Decent beer and some unique flavor profiles going on with the watermelon and yam beer on tap. I only sampled them as I wanted the American pale ale which was 1.75 for 10 ounces which is a great price. So as far as prices go at all the brewery's this one was the best overall. Really nice setup and cool merchandise, I just didn't think that the beers I had were spectacular that's not to say I wouldn't ever come back because i had a great time here. read more

I've been to nearly all of the tap rooms in the metro now sans 1, maybe 2, they keep opening so it's hard to stay on top of things. That is not a complaint though. This is THE BEST taproom in the metro. They have everything figured out here. Logo: Super cool, love it. Cans: The way of the future, cans crush it. Casks: Not many taprooms always have casks on. Actually this is probably the only one now that I think about it. Cask beers are what taprooms are all about to me. If you're a production brewery, I can get your beer at a bar or at a store. Without casks of experimental awesome FRESH brews I don't see a big point to going back. Stir crazy with cocao nibs and vanilla on cask, double dry summit hopped day tripper. That shit will keep me coming back. Experimental draft beers: Yup, they have these too. Pear infused day tripper, yes please. Local Art: The art on the cans and on the walls is amazing and it's all done by our awesome local artists. You can tell art is important to Indeed and they've seamlessly worked it into their brewery to make it even better. Location: They have such a cool spot in the solar arts building in the NE arts district. A quiet dead end, right across from the tracks with a great patio out front along with a perfect spot for the food trucks. Parking is limited in the winter if there's been a lot of snow but I've never had a problem. Seasonals and Special releases in bottles: Back to the beer. They always have a seasonal available in bottles and at the taproom. More awesome, I seriously get giddy about this place. Fresh, their fresh hopped IPA. Hullabaloo, their autumn seasonal, Haywire, Sweet Yama Jama sweet potato ale. They come up with so many amazing beers, I only wish I lived closer. Anyone living in NE is beyond lucky to have this place in such close proximity. I'm confident this brewery will be recognized nation wide for it's total awesomeness at everything. read more

O M G. I stopped in for a pint with my husband expecting a small brewery with a few beers, this place is a lot bigger than most breweries AND has a huge tap list!! This is my new number 1 spot for a local beer, the staff was really friendly, laid back, and knowledgeable on all the beers. I wanted to try the new beer, something Dunkel, (I wish I could remember the whole name) and I asked the bartender about it, he was very honest and said I should try one of their other beers because this one was going flat. I decided to try the Strawberry Fields sour, it was a lot different from other sours I've tasted, you could smell and taste the strawberry on your tongue when you first sip it, then it's a smooth finish of a touch of sour and strawberry. It reminded me of those hard strawberry shaped candies that every grandma carries around in her purse. They're so good, but I've never seen them at any store?! Any way, now I can have that candy taste over and over again! My husband got the LSD and I had to try a sip... right away I noticed the lavender, I've never tasted anything like it! It was soo smooth and rich! Unfortunately we could only stay for one beer, but we will be back VERY soon! I must try all the beers! read more

Indeed, indeed! I do love me some Indeed. One of the few NE breweries that actually has a happy hour! Yes I will take that 20oz pint of beer for $3.00 (or something close to that). Indeed has been great every time I've stopped in since we first discovered it last winter. Sweet Yamma Jamma is one of my favorites here, along with Shennanigans and their winter seasonal, Stir Crazy. As I'm not a hop fan, their usual taps of Day Tripper and Midnight Ryder do not appeal to me, but they pretty much always have something for my flavor profile on tap along with those, including some tap room or bottle only specials. As with all NE breweries it can get crowded. They used to have booth style seating along the back wall, but since my last visit last week it looks like they got rid of those for one long bench with round tables and chairs spaced down the bench. If you go in on a Saturday evening during the non-patio weather, expect to have to wait to get *in* to the brewery. They are part of the food truck rotation - I enjoyed a veggie pastie from Anchor with my Yamma Jamma on our last visit. This last May my husband and about a half a dozen of his buddies brought in their laptops and had a little mini-lan party. I brought in one of my beardies with and she enjoyed the attention she got from the bartenders. All in all a great place! I will continue to be back for cheap pints and growler fills :) read more

A northeast favorite. I love their beers so of course I had to visit the tap room. The inside is pretty small compared to some of the other local warehouse breweries but that doesn't hinder their amazing beer flavors. I think there is another small room off the main room to divide up the space but we didn't venture around too much. The operations are very organized with checking your ID when you walk in and the clear line to order and pay. Typically there's a food truck on the weekends too. We found a spot at the bar and talked to the bartender about all the upcoming releases. I love that they are constantly working on something new and willing to get consumer input. One of my favorite beers is the honey lavender release. It's a classic that tastes good any time of year. If you're on a NE brewery tour you have to stop in here! read more

The current craft brewery scene is one of my favorite things about living in Minneapolis, and Indeed stands as one of the best around. Their small space hidden away in Northeast is a not-so-hidden gem of taprooms. Almost entirely consisting of wooden decor, the space is warm and welcoming on most weeknights. If you do find yourself here on a Friday night or warm summer day, be prepared to stand or pry over fellow patrons to leave so you can scoop up a table because they get packed both inside the taproom and outside on their patio. The staff that I've come across at Indeed are just as laidback as the space lends itself to be. In previous visits where I've been undecided on what to have, they've been helpful in making recommendations and letting me sample some of the beers I had not tried before. To go along with all the beer consumption that will surely happen when you visit Indeed (or any brewery for that matter), they usually have a rotating food truck on site to cover your hunger or sober you up. Their "Indeed We Can" campaign is some of the best work that any brewery in the state does. A charitable initiative where each Wednesday they feature a different local charitable cause where all net proceeds from open to close that day will be donated to said organization, each one sponsored by a Indeed employee. What's better than drinking beer and also making a difference in the world?! Nothing I tell you! Indeed brews some of my favorite beers around. From the floral, yet light hoppiness of LSD (I refuse to call it by its full name because screw the feds), to their unique, bold flavored sours in Lucy and the super limited Strawberry Fields. Where Indeed truly shines is that seasonal lineup of theirs, fully embracing the experimentation of flavors to craft memorable drinks. Honestly, I'd give Indeed a 5-star review if they had not gotten rid of my favorite beer of all time, the wonderful seasonal liquid gold that I've spent so many fall days drinking, Sweet Yamma Jamma. Call me bias, but why did you have to do that to me, Indeed?! I was not ready to say goodbye... (cue saltiness). read more

One of Minneapolis' best breweries. They have been very strict about the time you can spend there due to covid and have really limited outdoors space. This is understandable but our server took a really long time to get back to our table and take our order for a second beer, which led us to almost not being able to finish. We had to chug the beer and give up the table. Server was really nice though and it's a great place. Just need more outdoor space and a better covid system maybe. read more

Great service for opening night of their tap room. It was packed but it took little time to get a couple pints. The tap room is absolutely gorgeous and I could see making a trip just to hang out and have a few delicious brews. Beautiful woodwork! We got to take a peek at the brewery area (the hubby is in the industry and had already toured it so he was able to point out a few things to me). The patio is very spacious and there was plenty of room for the tons of people that showed for the opening. The bathrooms (hey, it's something we ladies watch out for!) are clean with plenty of room and no line to wait in, which was a bit of a surprise. They also have some neat little historic pieces to check out when you visit. Overall a great little place! Just too bad the laws in MN are so jacked that they can't have longer hours. Even so, this place is going to be a hit. read more

I'm not really a big beer drinker (expect for sours) & I am super happy they keep a couple sours on their menu year round! It's the perfect brewery to go to with friends/family because they have such a wide variety of beers to offer, it's pleasing for everyone! The inside set up is super nice & they're doing a terrific job at following Covid-19 procedures. I love the aesthetics in the different rooms! Outside they offer umbrellas & cozy fires to keep you comfortable during the winter. Everyone wears masks & they do a great job of wiping things down. Hands down recommend you come here. A spacious tap room, and nice patio with the occasional freight or North Star train, and a fair amount of parking spaces in their lot, they have up to 12 brews on tap, including my favorite the Let It Ride IPA. They have a shuffle board in the tap room. The afternoon we were there the Cajun food truck was there, and I hear the food truck rotates so there are a few different ones to try from time to time. This happens to also be a popular stop on the informal and emerging "Bike and Beer Tour" that groups are getting together to do. read more

Indeed is one of my favorite tap rooms to visit so far. I was here to celebrate my birthday, and they gave a Free birthday beer! The staff were very welcoming and nice. Apart from the outdoor patio seating and seating inside the taproom, they also have rooms in the back for parties and events . Eventhough they don't have any food on the menu, there was a food truck parked right at the back which totally served the purpose. The seasonal brews were wonderful and if you have not already, try their infused beers, especially recommended is the hibiscus shenanigans. I also liked the Mexican honey for summer. Also, they do have a medium sized parking lot on the property but it can get pretty full but if not, there's plenty of street parking around that place.
