I can't say enough about how patient, helpful and kind Gary and Chase were. My mother was very...specific... about what she needed and how she wanted it, but they never got frustrated or impatient as they problem solved with her. When an accident brought about the need for an electric chair lift for my stairs, I was so fortunate to find Silver Cross. They sell gently used (recycled) chairs, which was a huge blessing to me! Insurance would not cover it as durable medical equipment because it's removable (they consider it portable); and new ones were way out of my budget range. Their employees are very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend that you check out their recycled items! If I could give this company ZERO stars, I WOULD! Terrible company with even worse management! Gary Lark and Chase Lark LIED to us about meeting a deadline to install a stair glide and we were stuck with no option to get my sister upstairs to her bedroom and ONLY handicapped bathroom in the house. Once the error was realized, the were incredibly UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE!!! NEVER buy products from this company or you will be incredibly DISAPPOINTED! Chase, with Independent Solutions, Inc,. did some renovations in our home for a roll in shower, new entry into the bathroom, sealed original entry, modified the sink so my son could roll under it and put in a taller toilet. I have worked with both Gary and Chase. Both are very knowledgeable about limitations and restrictions those who face disability battle. Because of this, they were able to problem solve some tight areas for us that we had not anticipated. We only have the one bathroom on the main level and every evening before Chase left the work area he vacuumed and cleaned up everything so that we had use of the toilet during the entire process. Not only is the bathroom and area leading to it accessible, but it also looks wonderful. Chase has good work ethics, does good, clean work, and is very respectful in the home. He stays focused and works hard. I couldn't be happier with the experience I had with this company and these two gentlemen. I would absolutely use them again should the need arise. I was having trouble with grandma's Ameriglide stair lift and called Silver Cross to purchase some wheels to get it up and running again. The gentleman at Silver Cross told me that he wouldn't sell me the wheels because it could put Silver Cross in a liability situation if the parts were not installed correctly. The cost of the wheels can;t be more than $15....but he wanted to charge me $130. I asked how the Home Depot could sell replacement parts for everything you might own in your home without the risk of liability. He told me that since we disagree, he wouldn't be able to help me out. I say "stop treating the elderly like they are idiots!" "We will not pay the $130....and we will not be taken advantage of any longer." I hope you think twice about using Silver Cross when you or loved one needs assistance. MC read more
