CONSUMER BEWARE! TERRIBLE!! I was originally quoted $2,200, forced to pay $4,012 once my belongings were loaded and basically held hostage, and I was verbally attacked with profanities by customer service, calling me "bat sh*t crazy", told me to "go suck a d*ck", and hung up on me. Yes, the customer service person yelled profanities at me over the phone and hung up on me.
Approx 9/15/20: All calls are made on a recorded line, so all of this information is on record with them. I told the sales person that I've never used a moving company before, I'm new to this and I don't really know what I'm doing. The original verbal was $3,200, and I said no. Salesman added a discount that brought it to $2,200, and I agreed to it. The sales person repeatedly assured me that I would not have to pay any more money, because what I signed for was an overestimate of 10%. Approx 9/20/20: In the original quote, they did not tell me that the dressers needed to ship empty, so I had to add 12 boxes to the original quote, which pushed the contract way up to $3,500. I said no, cancel the move, I will not pay that amount. Salesman coerced me into signing by assuring me that I would be overpaying, that the final cost would not be over $2,400 and I would get money back once the move was complete. No less than a dozen times, he told me there was no way I would pay anything more, again, stating the 10% over estimate used during the quote process. 10/8/20: Moving day. Once all my furniture was loaded up and held hostage on their truck, I had to pay $4,012 or I would not get my belongings back. I reached out to customer service almost a dozen times over the last 3 weeks, and was told they would "research" the recorded calls and get back to me. 10/30/20: The customer service rep was quite rude, and said I'm "calling the wrong place" if I think I'm getting any money back from them. When I asked to speak with a manager, she told me I could speak to her or I could get put on hold. I said I do not want to speak to her, as she is giving me an attitude, after I've called back 9 times in 3 weeks and repeated the same story over and over again. She put me on hold (did not say that she was transferring me to a manager). I hung up and called back and she answered and said that I'm just going to keep getting her if I keep calling back, and when I asked to speak to a manager again, she said no, I can talk to her. She then called me "bat sh*t crazy", told me to "go suck a d*ck", and hung up on me. Yes, the customer service person yelled profanities at me over the phone and hung up on me. I called back to a different department and spoke with a manager, the same one that I originally spoke with on 10/9/20. She told me I should have read the contract better. I told her that I read the contract word for word, and nowhere does it say that misleading quotes or coercion and lies were part of the deal, and it's been 3 weeks and I still haven't heard back, and that I was just verbally assaulted by a customer service rep. She said that they're still looking into it to see if I'm owed any money back...again, this was 3 weeks ago. I asked for a transcript of all the sales calls and of the call where I was just verbally assaulted, and she said that their recorded calls are the company's property and I would need to have them subpoenaed by an attorney or they will not release them. She did not apologize for her employee's profanity filled attack on me, she did not give me a date that this "research" would be wrapped up, and she did not have an answer when I said that I think you are stringing me along, hoping that I will forget, or let it go, or drop it. read more
