I really wish someone had warned me before hiring this moving company. The estimate they gave us was completely misleading. We were quoted around $750, but the final bill ended up being $2,000 for a simple two-bedroom move from Boca Raton to Pompano Beach. The crew clearly lacked experience. It took them two full hours just to disassemble a queen-size bed. They didn't know how to pack a dining table and couldn't disassemble it until we found a YouTube video for them to follow. In the process, they broke our TV stand (we had to throw it away) and damaged our Aminach sofa valued at $3,000. What was supposed to take 3 hours dragged into 6 hours, and the whole move felt chaotic and unprofessional. I'm sharing this so others don't make the same mistake. I Spoke to the girl office gave them a list of furnishings to move for our quote. We agreed that it would be 3.5 hours maybe 4.5 based on her experience and the list so I prepared for 4.45 hours. After the employees showed up late at 9:15 am they wanted to go over the list (on my time) and said it was close but they had a 3 seat couch on list and it was only a love seat and I also had a small cabinet that was not on the list. ( even exchange) Keep in mind I was paying by the hour. The employees were happy that they didn't have to drive to Ft. Lauderdale. They said this is a great Friday with a short drive to WPB near our office. They started actually working at 10:00 AM after going over quote list.......... This move could have been done by my wife and myself in the correct time but for some reason it took them 5 hours to wrap and out on truck. I left to go to our new condo waited for an hour my wife called and said they were still talking to our neighbor for 45 minutes about helping him move. BTW they came back Monday and moved my neighbors belongings ( Vito) to Wellington. They finally arrived to WPB and said we will have the truck unloaded by 2 pm as requested. Well he was correct. It only took a little over and hour. Table was damaged ( It was from Ikea so it was not an expensive table. ) Employee opened up laptop and told me that I owe them additional money for the time. I said that's not what the quote said. So of course the UPSALE was additional $ 250.00 Start time 918 PM (They said an employee didn't show up) Finish time 2:00 PM Employee said the office person has no clue how to quote she quotes for 4 companies. I should have spoken to Dominic who id never wrong . I laughed and said so you have people quoting that don't know how to quote ? He said yes, She didn't account for the walking distance to the freight elevator and she didn't come to your unit. You might want to think twice about using this company. SO DISAPPOINTED! We chose this company on account of so many positive reviews. After months of planning and preparing for our move, they arrived late, took two days to pack us instead of one, then when the truck finally arrived three weeks later, it was only two guys (both nice enough), for a whole house worth of boxes and they were missing an antique trunk containing family heirlooms and at least one large box with kitchen essentials. On top of that, they tried to deliver two pieces to us that were not ours, and damage - water stains on wood furniture, broken legs, chipped picture frames, we're still working on repairs. Then when they were finished, the one guy "Rambo/Brian" was aggressive about asking for a tip and instructing us that the tip must only be for the two guys delivering, not the driver. Worst of all, after paying top dollar, their manager has not answered any of our calls or emails to inquire about the missing items. Basically once they got paid, they were gone. read more

Trevor was very helpful and understanding. 8/27/21 I wish that I could say my experience with Lee's was as good as everyone else's. Unfortunately that was not the case and I'm not really sure why. I did a long distance move from South FL to Alabama. I only called two companies for a quote and they were significantly higher by ALOT. I ended up going with them due to the reviews and recommendations. It was approx $6k to move a 2 bedroom apartment. I have moved four times in the last 6 years both interstate and locally and this was the most expensive. I would be totally fine with that, but I just felt the service did not match the price. Again, I want to make clear this was my personal experience. However, I do question if all of these reviews are legitimate. I moved for work and had 30 days to report. They were available to pack me up on the day I wanted and it would be 2-28 days for the furniture to get delivered. They assured me it would not take 28 days. Pack up day went fine, or so I thought. They only take cash or Zelle as payment, which should've been the first red flag. I didn't know that zelle has a limit so I had to drive to the bank on loading day and take out cash. I paid for the final payment by cashier's check. On approx day 14 of the 28 days I called Lee's to find out when my stuff would be arriving since there were only 14 more days left to get it to me and I hadn't heard from them. I spoke to someone named Carlos who told me it might be another week, but he wasn't sure. He also told me that if I lived on the east coast I would have had my furniture already since that was a more popular route. I would've liked to have known that in the beginning. I tried in the nicest way possible to get him to nail down whether it would be 3rd week or 4th week that I would get my stuff, but he could not say exactly. I explained I had been sleeping on the floor for two weeks and eating out since I could not cook. I was also scheduled to travel for work so I wanted to ensure I could be here to receive it. He provided no other info this day. The following day I received a call from Carlos and he said my things would be in AL that week on Friday or Saturday. On Thursday I still had not received a call from Lee's so AGAIN I call them to find out what day they're arriving. They said it would be to me by Friday. The driver was more communicative than the folks in the office and he called me the night before and the morning of arrival. Everything was unloaded and later I noticed Several items were not in great condition. I asked Lee's to pack some wall hangings and some lamps. The wall hangings seem fine but the lamps were thrown in a box with no cushioning. During unloading it was discovered a ceramic lamp was broken. He said I could file a claim, but no apology or acknowledgement from Lee's. I would strongly recommend packing as much as possible yourself. As I started to unpack, I realized a lot was damaged. A desk and side table both had to be reassembled since the screws and bolts started coming apart. The desk is still not right on one side. There was packing tape left on my TV both on the frame and the screen. The rug was rolled AND folded (!) and bubbles in multiple spots. A shelf that I've had for years and is not replaceable, was split on one side.I have a platform bed that has sunken pre-drilled screw holes. On further inspection I noticed screws were not drilled down all the way and one was actually not screwed in the pre drilled hole. It was so difficult to remove that one screw that the frame actually split where the hole was. All of this was beyond frustrating especially after a long distance move on my own and starting a new job. I also do not have the physical strength to repair furniture on my own bc it is so heavy! My furniture is not the most expensive but it is more sentimental than anything. Things break and at a minimum an apology would have been nice.My move was also not funded by my job, but paid for out of my own pocket. The entire experience with Lee's was disheartening and lot of $ wasted. Other than the lamp, I did not report any further damage to Lee's as I had 1k ded on insurance. Poor customer service is common in South Florida and Lee's reflected that. I do not recommend Lee's Moving for long distance moves. read more

Horrible company. Great beforehand but when things go wrong (like an employee stealing your check book and writing checks in their name), the owner tries to offer to pay for things they broke and ignore the fact that they hired theifs. Furthermore, he tried to get me to sign a legal document to not write bad reviews. No deal...you reap what you sew. I oferred an honest fair deal (repay for the move) realizing that I had to file a police report and go through Experian to ensure my credit score wasn't adversely effected. $300 compesation is NOTHING. I would much rather share my experience and hope others use your competitors than accept your meagor $300 laughable offer. Do NOT use this company. Horrible owner who hires criminals! read more

The team was fast and careful with my property and flexible to my moving needs which included unloading POD onto their truck and then unloading again at my house. They also unloaded another POD int my storage unit. The entire job was completed in less than 4 hours. My only disappointment was the rate, which seemed high, but maybe that is typical for this area to which we are new. read more

I am lea leaving this review because the reviews were why i chose this company. I had a spreadsheet comparing 8 different companies actually. After I no longer had a choice, all customer service was completely out of the window. Movers arrived nearly 2 hours late, which is important because i had elevators booked, cleaning service scheduled, etc. The movers were not informed they were supposed to pack my kitchen and did not have wardrobe boxes, both expressly agreed to. I ended up fighting with the manager/owner when they told me they were charging me more - not like moving isn't already one of the most stressful events to go through. I used Lee's movers this past weekend and was impressed by the professionalism, quickness and great communication skills. They are quick to respond to requests and stay in touch throughout. The movers were friendly and worked quickly. It's hard to find good customer service, so this was a nice change! My mother had hired other movers to move out of her home and was having issues with pricing and communication with a different company. The estimator who came in a few hours was courteous and very knowledgeable . They quoted a fair price without all the extra chargers that other movers wanted. Now for move. I was charged extra money to bring a refrigerator upstairs. The four moving guys that do this for a living, decided that it couldn't be done so they left the refrigerator downstairs. Leaving this review wherever I can, their rating cannot possibly be accurate and people need to know the real deal. I will give them some credit because their ability to actually pack and move stuff efficiently is as good as it gets. But beware they may misquote your "estimate" and pull the old bait and switch. I cannot think of a reason why a company who will proudly tell you they've been in business 42 years cannot figure out accurately what the cost of a full-service move is, except it be an underhanded, intentional thing to trap people. They were told what we wanted, they came prepared with enough supplies to move us (just a few boxes short, no biggie there) then proceeded to tell me they "misunderstood" the need and it was going to take double the time. Not exaggerating. And customer service had the most professional nonchalant reaction I'd ever seen when I called to find out how the mixup happened. Then tried to offer a sliver of a discount. Barely acknowledged the gross error on their end. Told me how expensive these things are, how they have to pay their crew, how much additional work 3-story homes are, etc. Like they are doing me a huge favor. Shame on me for not realizing that original quote was too good to be true, even though I confirmed AGAIN and AGAIN every single solitary detail for this FULL SERVICE move. So if you have a lot of cash to spare, they will probably do good for you, but honesty is still a virtue. read more

We used Lee's to move earlier this year from North Dade to Palm Beach county. I interviewed a few moving companies but ultimately chose Lee's because they could store our extra belongings for us until we move again later this year to a unit that we're renovating, and the price was very competitive. The service was excellent and they offered us free wardrobe boxes to use during the move which saved my family SO much time with packing up all our clothes. Kevin & Robert were amazing. We used Lees moving and storage. They were the worst, did not have enough men to handle the move. Damaged an expensive armoire, broke a pan expensive crystal wine glass and other ceramic items that were in a box wrapped in bubble and marked fragile. They even broke a ceramic earn that they packed and marked fragile. They just dropped these boxes on a tile floor. Beware don't let them leave until you open and inspect all fragile boxes, as in there contract they are not responsible for any damage after they leave your house and they walk out once every box is inside. Michael at Lee's was very responsive and quickly gave us a quote and scheduled the move that same week. They were very efficient and packed and loaded our entire household very carefully. We have expensive artwork as well as antique and designer pieces. Not only were the movers quick and efficient, they were extremely careful and we DID NOT HAVE EVEN ONE damaged piece when our furniture reached its destination.
