We found this park when we were passing by. We turned around and spent three days here! Chris and Marcy have put their heart and soul into this place! They have the above and beyond hospitality as well as a plethora of information about the area and the fun adventures nearby. They have a gathering area with very comfortable seating and fire pit in the center. Great play area for children and a dog walk for your fur babies. The bathrooms and showers are cleaned daily and very accommodating to all. As you can see we have had our fill of other types of RV Parks that tend to be more concerned about the sale than the truth. This place is priceless! We rented a pull through spot with full hookups. There are adorable cabins to rent on this 12 acre pine covered area with a short stroll down to the river. Trails galore to ride and the quaint little town of Troy nearby.

The spots are level, that's important in a small rig like ours. The place is super clean and the bathrooms are a dream! The folks in the campground are mostly just passing through and some are there for a couple days to enjoy all the outdoor activities. Those there for awhile are super friendly and helpful, we me several in our little world of chaos! The owner though, he's the real hero of this little haven! We arrived later in the evening only to find an entire group of folks in our spot. Well, what we thought was our spot!! We called the after hours number and one of the folks actually texted the owner for us. Lo and behold, in the year and a half on the road, I had mixed up the reservation date! We were scheduled to be there the day before and they were full that night! The owner found us a spot to park though, luckily with a plug in since it was so hot!! We had a very peaceful night sleep and will forever remember his kindness! Thank you North Haven, you're one of the best!

The place is an absolute SLICE OF HEAVEN paradise ~ only a little over an hour away from us... but a whole other magical, peaceful world, altogether! Dog friendly, eco-conscious, immaculate, totally charming, and replete with the most amazing owners, Jake and Cody, who quickly became our new best friends (along with their two sweet dogs)! They drove us in their Gator into the national forest (located right across the street), to go morel hunting - and we had great success! It was amazing!!! And they made us Bellinis in the morning with homemade rhubarb preserve using rhubarb from their garden, and bonfires in the evening, replete with s'mores. The bunk house we rented was adorable, quaint, spacious and comfortable, and we felt like we were at sleep-away camp, which brought back the happiest feelings of nostalgia for both my husband and myself. (They also have RV hook-ups overlooking the glorious lake/creek)! The rental of the bunkhouse came with full access to the awesome mess hall below, with a big screen TV, comfy couches, tables and chairs and a full kitchen! This place is a must visit peaceful paradise. The expansive beauty and charm is breathtaking and the accommodations and hospitality are absolutely unparalleled! We had the most relaxing, wonderful time at the retreat/resort and with Jake and Cody and their doggies! Can't recommend it highly enough. Lots of trees to pee on and a small section of taller grasses and flowers to run around in and explore. Will definitely be back to this lovely little resort.

Visiting family here in ID & they took us to visit this wonderful state park. It's named after the…read moreadmiral who said, "Damn the torpedos. Full speed ahead!" during the Civil War. The former site of a Naval training station: Over 293,000 sailors received basic training here. Who would've thought a Naval training facility would be in Idaho? It was also used as a German POW camp during WW II. There are so many things to do here. Tour the Museum At The Brig, go hiking of one of many trails, camp at one of their numerous camp sites, play disc golf, bring a lunch & picnic along the shoreline of Lake Pend Oreille, the largest lake in ID. Fishing, sailing or boating. Visit the beautiful viewpoint at the end of South Rd. Shooting ranges or even a model airplane flying field! However, I must say their gift shops are somewhat lacking. Go for a day or a weekend, this park is just great.

We stayed this last weekend at round lake with some friends and family. We rented three sites next…read moreto each other. As soon as we arrived the people in front of us quickly got stuck because of the boulders that are placed everywhere. The people that work there sat in the golf cart and proceeded to watch them for thirty minutes. My spouse had to help with 3 others to jiggle a boulder so they can gain an inch of room. The area where they ask you to put up tents on are white rock filled area next to our fire pit and picnic table. We were asked to not use the "ground" dirt to camp but did point out many tents using this. The rules are ridiculous, no hammocks , and if you are disabled and use a cane like I do good luck maneuvering around the unnecessary costly boulders that are not an improvement but a waste of cost. Never again will I or seventeen others visit again. Enjoy your boulders.
