Gina & Michael who run this b&b made me feel welcomed instantly and helped make sure my stay was perfect for the entire duration of my 3-day visit. The rooms were beautifully decorated, and you are awoken with fresh coffee and breakfast each morning. Gina is an AMAZING chef - if you're lucky enough to try her homemade Huckleberry croissant French toast, you'll instantly add it to your list of best things ever eaten. The b&b sits on a couple acres and is very spacious - private outdoor seating, patio and there's even a bocci ball court in the backyard. Michael was gracious enough to let me beat him 3 games in a row! Nestled in the hillsides right next to Schweitzer mountain, the location is prime for all thinks happenings in Sandpoint. Gina and Michael gave some great suggestions on things to do around the town, in addition to tons of recommendations for food & bars. Maria, the owner went out of her way to accommodate and was a pleasure to deal with. I stayed in the Kokanee Suite while in Nelson visiting my son. Walking distance to all the sights and restaurants downtown. Skylights. Beautiful view of the water from the porch. Fully equipped kitchen with local coffee provided. Comphy bed. Warm lighting and homey comfortable decorating. The piece de resistance for me was the deep claw foot bathtub .... bubble baths after a day of hiking ... yes please! Can't wait to return!!

A beautiful house in a great location, Private, quiet, clean and relaxing environment, well-kept and close to everything. It has everything you need with all the amenities. The suite was awesome, absolutely adorable, good view to the lake and mountains, and cheerful decor. The bed is excellent, as good as in any five stars hotel, the bathroom is equipped with hair dryer, shampoo, soaps and luscious towels. It really exceeded my expectations. Great attention to detail, recycling carefully planned and well communicated. The entire stay has been a pleasure. I felt at home here. Very efficient Owner, Maria, keeps her tenants happy and she is behind every detail. I hope to make a return trip in the near future, I'm already recommending it to my friends and colleagues. The house is gorgeous and each suite is unique and spacious and comfortable. We felt at home sitting on the luxurious couch in the main living room in front of the fireplace with a view of the lake behind us. They had a Keurig machine with different kinds of coffee/tea/hot chocolate/hot cider to choose from. That was my my first experience using a Keurig and I had so much fun trying different kinds of coffee and tea and having it hot and ready within seconds. I enjoyed taking a hot cup of coffee and sitting in the gorgeous living room and just relaxing with my husband. They have 3 levels and you are welcome to hang out in the common areas on any floor. There are DVDs to watch and cable TV in each suite. I loved the huge tub with the jets in our suite--I took 2 long baths and we were only there one night. Breakfast is served in a lovely dining area with views of the lake. We had several courses--the first being a delicious fruit salad with pudding and a coconut sprinkle on top. The little shortbread bar with strawberries on top was delicious. The main dish was a french toast/bread pudding type of deal with blueberries and was warm and delicious. They refilled our juice and coffees as needed and were very courteous. I plan on going back to stay here in the summer so I can experience staying there in warmer weather. If you want a nice relaxing weekend away from home I highly recommend this place!! You will not regret staying here! P.S. We stayed in the River Suite--it was spacious and comfortable. Next time I'd like to stay in another suite that has views of the lake.
