I have allergies and was phoning around to many different places to see who would be willing to leave them out of the food.. not even the expensive restaurants said they would be willing to. This was the only restaurant who said it wouldn't be a problem, which already made me very excited. We had a group of 17, there was a bit of a wait since everything is prepared fresh..but so worth it!!! The food was amazing. I love indian food and know the difference between good and bad...This food was something else. I had baingan (eggplant), aloo gobi (potato and cauliflower) and chana (chickpeas).. everyone else had a mix of veg and non - veg... everything tasted exceptional. My husband who doesnt like saag (spinach), loved the palak paneer and he also liked the butter chicken and the lamb biryani. I love that moment when you bite in to food and you get this whole rainbow of spices that leaves you in anticipation of what you are going to taste next. My family and I ate at this restaurant for the first time and I can honestly say it won't be our last. The restaurant is a small family-run establishment operated by a warm and welcoming man that made my family feel right at home. We stopped by for a late lunch and lingered over our dessert and tea. The food was delicious and freshly cooked. It was well worth the wait when our table was overladen with warm naans, chicken tikka, dhal, palak paneer, lamb vindaloo, biryani, and yoghurt raitha. We savoured the spices and authentic taste of the well-prepared meal and were so stuffed that we were hard pressed to have dessert. I was pleased with the food and service and would recommend this restaurant to anyone living in Brampton. I have become a regular at this restaurant as their quality is just beyond anything else I have experienced in Indian cuisine in Brampton, and even the GTA as a whole. The menu is rich in variety with staple classics like butter chicken, but does not shy away from more challenging dishes - all served at your choice of spike level. All dishes are prepared on order - nothing is sitting with heating lamps over it for hours at a time. The food is wholesome, nutritious and the flavours feed the body as well as the soul. The staff are extremely friendly and it is all very much worth the wait. My family and I attend there for dinner at least every couple of weeks, and it has always been consistent for quality and flavour. We live downtown and have lots of great Indian food options but always make a point of having lunch here when we go to Humber Nurseries nearby. The food is fantastic. All made from scratch by cooks who are Indian and know the cuisine well; they even bring ingredients back from Mumbai when they visit family. The people are really caring. The atmosphere is a bit..... unspectacular, but we couldn't care less about that. We tend to go at quieter hours which probably is a good idea as the wait times are long. But worth it. Best Indian takeout I've ever eaten. I've had indian hero twice now and I've been extremely satisfied and impressed both times. The place is super clean, and run by a friendly and passionate family of staff. The food is fantastic! Medium portions are shareable and you'll likely have leftovers for the next day. I'm particularly fond of their curry dishes, I've had the chicken Tikka masala, lamb vindaloo, afghan lamb haryali, and karahi paneer. All of which are thick, flavorful and freshly prepared to your desired level of spice (1-10). Hands down, the best butter chicken i have ever had! I started going to this restaurant when they first opened up, and i still go on a regular basis. I see a lot of reviews saying they had to wait too long, but for me it shows how much care and attention they put in to each dish. The flavours are incredible, and The staff are amazing! they know my name, how i like my food, and have taken the time to get to know me. i have recommended most of my friends try it, and they have never been disappointed. Great service, great food! I went here for the first time last week and I will definitely be going back. The owners were very friendly and took the time to explain their dishes. I orderd a medium Chicken tikka masala with galic naans and it was fantastic! The portion was very fair and it lasted me a while. I also tried some of the dishes my boyfriend ordered and they were just as great (even though it was a little spicer than i can handle)! Had read good reviews on tripadvisor.ca for this place nearby so decided to check it out. The dishes seemed very watery and tomato-ey, unlike the many Indian dishes I've had in other restaurants around the GTA. The mutton had lots of bones and very little meat. Great place for take out!! We have tried a few places on the outskirts of Brampton and this is the best so far. Loved the Butter Chicken, aloo Gobi, palak paneer, bengan afghani and channa masala.
