Our first time having Indian food in Amarillo. Thankful for warm food with the various spices to heal the body. It's been so cold here lately that I'm shocked I'm even in Texas! We ordered food to pick up and take home. This is a must try if you're in town!

Best Goat curry I have had Palek Paneer was awesome. If I lived here I would go here twice a week. Truly delicious Indian food. As my wife and I say, "There are two types of people those who love Indian food and those who havent tried it yet!!" So good!!

Fresh and tasty! spinach with potatoes , chili chicken w/ bell peppers, & okra w/spices

I'm a driver for DoorDash and will never return here. 25mins after the pickup time I revived the customers order. Unprofessional.

Hands down the top Indian food in Amarillo (dine-in, takeout, lunch buffet). From dine in made to…read moreorder North India or Southern India flavors. You can certainly get lost in the extensive menu, trying to decide what to try today. With over 10+ different bread offerings how can you decide day to day. Lets talk about the lunch buffet! Over 20 items to choose from, several masalas, paneers, samosas, lamb or goat biriyani daily. I've eaten every Indian buffet in town and there's no waiting for more naan or samosas to be added to the buffet, they are on top of their game! Need to cool down with a Lassi? Your in luck mango, sweet and salty lassis to cover your cool down. Lets not forget the Chai tea for the trip home to reflect on your Indian food experiences. The take out is a huge part of the business here it seems, orders and drivers are flying in and out the door. Ambiance is flat, no frills but I wil assure you the food is the star of the show!

I ordered online from Sai Indian Cuisine in Amarillo and was excited to try their food. I ordered…read moremutton curry, chicken tikka masala, chili paneer, and garlic naan. Unfortunately, my experience with the chicken tikka masala was extremely disappointing. The first thing I noticed was the overwhelming smell of old fenugreek. The smell was so strong that it completely overpowered the dish, and unfortunately the taste matched it. After the first bite, I immediately noticed that the texture did not seem like chicken at all -- it had the consistency of paneer. After checking the dish more carefully, I found actual chicken pieces mixed in with what appeared to be paneer-like chunks. It looked as though something other than chicken had been added to make the dish appear fuller. I called the restaurant to simply ask how their chicken tikka masala is prepared and whether there was anything other than chicken in the gravy. The response I received was that there was only chicken. When I explained that I had chunks of something that appeared to be paneer in the dish, the response suddenly changed to, "Oh, it's eggs." As someone who grew up eating North Indian food, I have never encountered eggs being added to chicken tikka masala, and more importantly, this was never disclosed anywhere on their menu. Their website describes the dish as "chicken baked in clay oven and cooked with mild sauce" -- there is no mention of eggs, paneer, or any other ingredient that could be a concern for someone with allergies. When I brought up the concern that someone with an egg allergy would have no way of knowing this, the response I received was simply, "You need to tell me." I explained that when ordering online, customers can only go off the information provided on the menu. Instead of acknowledging the issue, I was met with the same dismissive response. The conversation continued to become more unprofessional. When I questioned the way I was being spoken to, the person responded that this was how he talked to customers and then hung up on me. For anyone who is new to Indian food and is looking for an authentic experience, I would strongly caution you. This was the furthest thing from the North Indian food I grew up eating. Authentic Indian cuisine is built around carefully balanced spices, proper preparation, and transparency about ingredients -- not masking questionable additions or dismissing customer concerns. Whether this was the owner or an employee, the attitude and lack of accountability were unacceptable. A restaurant should be transparent about its ingredients, especially when allergens are involved, and should treat customers with basic respect when concerns are raised. The food quality was disappointing, but the customer service was even worse. I cannot recommend Sai Indian Cuisine based on this experience.

Absolutely Disgusting - Worst Dining Experience Ever…read more If I could give zero stars, I would. This was hands down one of the most vile, inedible meals I've ever encountered. The food was so bad that no one at our table could stomach more than a bite. It looked awful, smelled worse, and tasted like it had been sitting out for days. Whoever is in that kitchen should not be allowed near food. The goat biryani? Oh my god. It looked like something you'd find in a dumpster after a food fight. The color was a sickly, off-yellow-brown, like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for far too long. And the texture? I honestly thought it was vomit. Full of chunky, unappetizing onions, green peppers, and what I can only describe as the fat, skin, and bones of what was supposed to be goat meat. Not a single bite was edible. This was definitely a load of rubbery chunks of regret. To make matters worse, we were charged for items we never ordered. And the final insult? A can of Coke--just a regular, warm can--was $5.99. For real. Almost six bucks for something that costs 1.50 cents at a gas station. Save your money, your time, and your stomach. There are bad restaurants, and then there's this place. Avoid it like the plague.

Yet, I curiously enough to venture in there and bought a few Mixed Parathas. The lady made them fresh from scratch, and the taste was amazing. The price was very reasonable too. I would love nothing more to drive through there again and buy them again. Thank you!
