    Melted Pot Skillet
    Mindy G.

We were in town for an RV rally at Fleetwood. We ordered the pancake sandwich (2 light fluffy pancakes with 3 eggs and a nice thick slice of grilled ham between) and a melted pot skillet ( 3 eggs over skillet of hot crispy hash browns with melted cheddar and crunchy onions served with wheat toast. Eggs were cooked just the way I asked And everything was piping hot. The waitresses were friendly and attentive. I was entertained at how they greeted the regulars.

It was okay. The biscuits and gravy was flavorless, but it was otherwise pretty good. The waitresses were nice.

I ordered the Western BBQ burger and it was amazing. This restaurant is a cute little diner that I would recommend to anyone!

Casey's (Huntington, Bluffton, Decatur, Waterloo, etc.) - for gas station pizza…read more I confess that Casey's is the only gas station pizza I have ever eaten. I really avoid prepared food at gas stations. However...I tried Casey's pizza (including breakfast pizza) and really liked their offering. Note: I think most Casey's do not have a place to sit down and eat the pizza - home or to your car you go. The picture has a slice of "jumbo" pepperoni and sausage pizza. I paid $3 per slice with my Casey's membership. It's probably $4+ without the card. At $3 a slice...that's $24 for a whole pizza, perhaps not a good value. Casey's crust is on the thin side of hand tossed. It is soft with a slightly crunchy outside. Slightly brown bottom. Has a flour taste - no seasoning, butter or oil flavors added. The sauce has a mild tomato flavor. Not sweet nor thick. It is a bit difficult to detect as they don't use a lot of sauce. There seems to be an appropriate amount of meat on the two slices. The meat comes off a bit greasy - in case you don't like that. It also doesn't have a strong/forward meat or spicy flavor - just kinda there like most "plain" pizzas. I personally like the flavor that the meat "sauces" add. The pizza is thick with mozzarella cheese. In fact you could say that the mozzarella dominates the taste - cheese lovers will like! I've been to several different Casey's across Indiana. The pizza has a very consistent taste. Cold Pizza Test - sorry, it didn't make it out of the parking lot.

Have not seen the fried pork tenderloin (Hoosier staple) offered as Battered before so I ad to try it. Delicious! Italian beef was also good with a nice au jus. My husband has potato soup also and loved it.

I'm really disappointed with my experience at Nine Mile. I ordered the 3-piece fish with coleslaw…read moreand onion rings, and unfortunately the food was not enjoyable at all. The fish was extremely greasy -- to the point that it was basically inedible and honestly made me feel sick to my stomach afterward. The onion rings were just okay and nothing special. The coleslaw was also concerning because it came out room temperature. It seemed like the merchandiser doors where it's stored may not have been fully closed, which definitely didn't inspire confidence in the food handling. The most unfortunate part of the visit was that our waitress, Marilyn, appeared completely run ragged. Because of that, we didn't really receive attentive service -- though it was hard to tell whether she was overwhelmed or just not very friendly. Either way, it didn't add to the experience. The seating arrangements in the bar area is family style, if you're not keen on sitting elbow to elbow with complete strangers, this probably isn't the dining room option for you. Overall, I won't be returning.
