However, when we had our belongings moved out of storage to our next home, trouble began. Items were missing, such as power cords to TVs and frame mounting hardware for our beds. I had to purchase these items. They did have someone come back and put the beds together. When unpacking we found numerous broken items. Some were glued back together such as a bed post and cabinet drawers to our dresser while others were just broken plates and bowls. They didn't do a good job packing our things and were not organized in keeping items together such as the cords and hardware with the furniture. The worse part was the customer service. I have called over 20+ times and sent emails but have not gotten one response. Once we paid for the services all communication ended. I was only looking to be reimbursed for the broken items that they packed and moved. To me, that would be the right thing to do. They should have contacted me to ask how the move went and if we had any issues. I shouldn't have to spend time out of my day to contact them. I understand things can happen during a move, but there is no excuse not to respond to follow up after a move. If you are looking for movers, I don't think you can trust Ferree Movers of Crown Point to do the right thing if something happens to your furniture, appliances, fixtures, etc. I wouldn't use them again in any capacity due to their unprofessional behavior and lack of customer service.

I needed just the stairway in my condo cleaned. All of the carpet cleaning companies quoted a…read moreminimum of around $100, so I settled on MasterClean as their receptionist was friendly. When they arrived, they said it would only take few minutes. About 10 or 15 minutes later, they were done. When I inspected the stairway, it didn't look all that much different than before they started. Some, but not much. So I mentioned this to the employee and he responded "That's because the carpet is worn out." I knew it wasn't worn out, as it is good carpet, and not that old. Then I showed him an area I had cleaned myself with a retail product and pointed out how much cleaner that spot was. He then said, "Okay, I'll go over it again." A few minutes later he was done. When I looked at the stairs, it did look a bit better, so I paid him and he left. It wasn't until later that day that I realized he had only done half of the stairs the second time. Now I'm stuck with an unsatisfactory job, and will likely be calling another company to come back ad re-clean the carpet. What bothers me most about this job is how the employee could claim the carpet was worn out as an excuse for a poor job. Seems like a bad business practice to me.
