Very lovely place! They were so nice to fit me in for a tour last minute and I really appreciated it. The layouts were gorgeous inside. Cindy gave me a tour and she was so nice and attentive. She gave me all the necessary information and really made sure I had a great experience. She understood everything I was looking for in an apartment and really paid attention. These apartments seem like they are in a very central location, not too far from Raleigh or Durham or Cary. Still deciding on this place but it's definitely on the short list! read more

I am a resident for 3 years and 2023 is my 4th year. this is a pretty decent complex in this area and i was very happy until this blood sucking managment named AVENUE5 took over the complex last year. first they raised my rent for $200 and then jacked it up with $170 fees. so total $370 raise. they forced all residents to use valet trash and pay the monthly trash fee. the worst part is they cancelled all residents current internet connections and force them to use Spectrum package for $85 a month. many people are members of google fiber and they cant use it anymore because managment says its our $85 a month package or no internet at all. I have been to many apt complexes and never ever see something like this. Its like living in a communist 3rd world country I was paying $35 a month for a 300mp internet and they cancelled it so I now have to pay $85 a month for the tv channels that I dont watch because i dont have a tv. I can sincerely say Avenue5 took this complex to rob the current residents!!! runaway from this complex as u run away from Plague until this managment company changes.I am counting months for my lease to end and will move out. you can see how horrible the managment companyis from their 600 customers negative comments on google read more

My wife and I were interested in this community. I called and spoke with Ryan about the unit and asked some pre-liminary questions. I have a service truck for that I needed to make sure would be allowed. I was requested to send a picture of the truck the truck so I did so. And she stated the truck should be fine. She would double check with her manager. That evening on my way home to my apartment that allows the service truck, I stopped by and toured the apartment. Ryan saw the truck in person and again reassured me it would be allowed, but she would run it by her manager the next day. She quoted a price, and we like the price. As we were led to believe that the truck would be allowed after Ryan stating it should be multiple times, we applied, because the quote was only good for 24 hours. In the section of the contract it has you fill out, I entered the truck into the contract. The following business day I called and got voicemail twice. So, I emailed, inquiring for a follow up on the truck. It took a WEEK before anyone responded. Continual emails and phone calls all unanswered. Finally the assistant manager, Ashley, called me back and started the process over. I then had to send her a picture of the truck. And she said it was denied. I asked when we would receive our refund, but she said we would not receive it. Even though they were denying the truck, and thus the application, they stated that I was canceling it. I asked to speak with her manager at that point, and low and behold when I was contacted next, they said they had canceled our application. THEY CANCELED the application. I then spoke with the manager, Dora. And she said the same thing, they would not refund it. Even though there was not a moment I said to cancel the application. Eventually she said she would refund only half of the application. HOWEVER, their contract does not allow half... as it states "If this Application is denied, the Application Deposit and Administrative Fee will be refunded to Applicant within 30 days of submitting application." Not only did they mislead us in stating the truck would be allowed, and then go back on what they said. They would not stand behind their contract and only returned half of our money. At this moment, they have ignored us. Other negatives, unreleated to us specifically. The rent stated on the price online is incorrect. Expect at least $160 of required fees to be added on each month. Another downside, application and administration fee is $325 They have EXTREEMLY delayed customer service. Really and truly, look at other reviews about "avenue 5 apartments"....it will tell you what you need to know about this apartment. Save your time and go somewhere else that has integrity. read more

This is a nice apartment community-- I loved the pool area and overall the landscaping was always well kept and clean. It's a great area to walk around the entire community for a stroll, the people that lived here were pretty nice. The staff is very personable and friendly-- they do excellent work. There's a pretty good gym here and a meeting room for medium sized groups to do a birthday party, anniversary etc. I lived here with a roommate for a while as I was looking for another place. It's definitely close to all of the RTP (Research Triangle Park) locations-- there's one of the IBM sites just down the street and Glaxo isn't too far away either. So proximity for work locations in RTP is phenomenal. read more

Started out rough , however the property manger Chelsea helped me out tremendously when I had no where to go. Due to a mixup in the application process I was assigned a unit that I did not apply for or even see, after speaking with the property management Chelsea went out of her way to make sure I was accommodated and even upgraded , the property is very clean and up to date and the location is perfect if you want to be close proximities to Durham /Raleigh/ Morrisville. The Bad: - Rent goes up every year you renew your contract -- there was only one year when they didn't raise our rent, but that was a fluke - Dog owners here are horrible. Neighbors let their dogs off leash in the yard all of the time -- and my dog has been attacked at least once by nasty miniature poodles during one of our late afternoon walks. People don't pick up their dog poop and neighbors will continually let their dogs poop in other people's yards. People own illegal breeds (pitbulls) and breeds more than 50 lbs in their apartments/houses -- which violates the rental agreements in place. Management does nothing about any of these issues. - Sketchy people doing drug deals in the parking lots (management will just tell you to call the non-emergency police line, which does nothing...) - People do drugs in their apartments/townhomes, so if you have issues with weed smells seeping into your dwelling, management will do nothing (since there is a clause in the contract agreement where you acknowledge that this might happen). - Not enough parking in front of townhomes -- I've had times where I've had to park far away from my house due to parties or large family gatherings - Gym is very small and lackluster. Equipment is frequently broken and it takes them months to fix things. - Durham City Water molds VERY FAST in your tubs and toilets. Be prepared to scrub them often. - Random people (who don't live in Indigo) dump their trash and recycling in the complex's bins, despite the "cameras" and "signs". Trash and recycling are frequently overflowing. - You will pay Durham City Taxes, even though you live in "Morrisville" (I've tried calling the government offices about this, but this is what they told me) - If you need to break your lease, you owe the rest of your annual rent until they rent out your place. My husband and I moved out last year, and we ended up paying 5 months out of our 6 months remaining in our lease... Beware. Old rental rates for our townhome: - $880 / month (May 2012 - June 2013) - $880 / month (June 2013 - May 2014) - $920 / month (June 2014 - May 2015) - $930 / month (June 2015 - May 2016) - $940 / month (June 2016 - May 2017) The Good: I lived for 4+ years in a townhome and was truly sad to move (since we bought a house). They offer the cheapest townhomes ($940/month) and apartments in the Brier Creek area and their location is super convenient to 540, Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. Maintenance is always on top of fixing issues fast, so that's a huge plus. Our 1200 sq/ft 2-bedroom townhome was a perfect size for 2 people and a dog, and we absolutely loved our wood-burning fireplace. The nearest Redbox is a 5-10 minute walk over to the CVS and there's a Food Lion right behind the neighborhood. People are moving out all the time, so there are some awesome finds by the recycling containers -- nice furniture, appliances, etc. In the neighborhood, there are wild blackberry bushes and a green grape tree, so it's awesome to eat fresh fruit in the summer. :) read more

It's been 90 days since my lady and I moved to Indigo Apartments. Pay close attention because this place isn't for just anybody. My lady and I will numerically list why we gave Indigo Apartments 5 Stars. 1) Amber is a remarkable saleswoman and office administrator. Amber was the first woman we spoke with on the phone. She guided us through the entire application process with a smile! Thank you Amber for your service! 2) Kellerbresha is another lady who works in the office. She does a good job of answering any serious questions we have. She also has a keen eye for details. Keep up the good work! 3) When we wanted a garage Sheri was quick to be of service. Her speed and professionalism are razor sharp. If we ever have any hiccups she is quick to smooth them out. She is ruthlessly efficient! 4) Stephanie is the Assistant Manager. I witnessed her bring a package to another resident while I was working one afternoon. She delivered the residents package with a smile and even greeted me; I thought someone was knocking on my door. Lol. She has an air of no-nonsense. 5) Jeff is one of the tall maintenance gentlemen. When we first moved in we had a wasp problem on our patio. My lady asked maintenance to get rid of the problem and they sent Jeff. He removed the wasp with a smile. Then my lady called again for another wasp problem near the stairs. Jeff did it again with a smile! We appreciate your authenticity Jeff. 6) Brian came to change out our AC filter. Brian is an outstanding upbeat professional. He also gave us paint for any future scuffs when we asked. Keep it Up! 7) The neighborhood grounds are always clean because the staff and residents care about the community. Most residents clean up after their dogs. Trash over flows sometimes but then it is all cleaned the next day. 8) Our upgraded unit is a clean peaceful place to dwell. The floors are a beautiful wood theme, The stainless steel appliances are remarkably efficient; my lady loves the look. I personally am obsessed with the DELTA shower faucet. Its like showering in the rain; a guy thing. 9) Waking up to the view of the forest takes us to another place each day. 10)The office staff are consistently upgrading the amenities. They've added a fenced dog park, and a grill area with hanging ambient white lights. The grounds keepers do a phenomenal job manicuring the vegetation. 11) Being upfront about the terms of their contract is important. We even have multiple convenient ways to pay our rent! 12)The neighbors are pleasant. Most people will say "Hi" and are considerate of each others space. There is occasional loud music in the afternoon but fortunately it is tasteful. 13) We can keep going but you're probably tired of hearing what we have to say. To conclude our review, the Indigo Apartments staff are remarkable professionals. There are a few people we have missed but we experience the level of work they do each day. They zip by on those golf karts to serve somebody while greeting us as we come in and leave. The office staff is doing something right because we don't have any unwanted surprises. Like we said before, living here isn't for anybody. It's for the people who like quality and excellent customer service; both of which are on purpose. Thank you for reading our review.
