I have always taken my Audi to Desert European Motorcars since moving out to the desert. I was actually excited that Audi was building a dealership out here. The bad news is that this is most poorly run dealership and service center I have ever been to. So bad in fact , that I ended up calling Audi corporate to let them know. I am an longtime Audi owner and love the brand but will NEVER go to this dealership again for service. The delays, the runaround and what I ultimately feel is dishonesty at this service establishment is shocking. I really hope Audi corporate gets involved to turn this dealership around. read more

Yesterday, I traded my Q5 for a Lexus NX200t. I am thrilled. After nearly 3 years of the Q5, it was joyous to say good-bye to the vehicle. In all my years of leasing/owning cars, the Q5 was my second least favorite car. Why? The electronic/nav/backupcam/voice/radio functions were dismal, sluggish and frustrating. Really? the back up camera is not instantaneous? The radio constantly was "updating" and loosing my pre-set favorites. The voice command feature for both phone and nav NEVER got it right.....totally worthless. The tires were nearly bald after 12,000miles. But, the worst part of this vehicle? THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT IN RANCHO MIRAGE. Ugh. I dreaded it. They were never ready for me to drop the car for an appointment. They never had a loaner ready for my appointment. Rather than a loaner, I got a crappy rental for which it would take 30-45 min to obtain. Routine maintenance would take 3-5 business days. My car was NEVEr washed when I showed up for a confirmed pick up time. And, the car was left, once, with horrible greasy handprints all over the liner (from the crew replacing part of the sunroof). See ya later Audi. You really need to address the way you handle luxury, premium cars and customers. read more

Strong arm tactics used to get me to buy additional products on my new lease, very unprofessional and would not return my funds when I requested. The products were never installed. Several calls left unreturned. These guys should not be in the business of serving customers. I have filed formal complaints with the CA consumer Protection Bureau until the matter is resolved and my money is returned. read more

Took my wife's car here for the 4 years major service. Their service Manager steve moorehouse is truly caring and professional. He is easily the best service manager I have ever made. There was a little problem with the convertible top (the service guy didn't put it back correctly) but steve got it fixes in no time. Highly recommended. Honestly, just one of the best dealers to go to if you really want outstanding customer service. From the sales team to the service team to the management team just top notch customer service which is hard to find these days. Gary Whitaker, the general manager, knows how to get things taken care of quickly and correctly!! It's very refreshing to be treated like your business is important to them. I bought a 09 Maserati Granturismo from them. A couple things needed to be done to the car for me to be a buyer (warranty leather replacement and spare key). The leather kit had been on order from Maserati NA for several weeks due in anytime. Once it arrived I was notified immediately by Dennis Butero (service manager) an appt. was made and kit was installed without a hitch!! I was given a loaner car and process was finished within a couple days. When I picked up my car spare key was on key ring without even having to ask. I am not really sure how anyone could give this place a bad review! I would recommend Desert European to anyone both family and friends!! I wish I could give them more then 5 stars as they absolutely deserve it!! read more

I brought my Jaguar Vanden plas into desert European Motors. I requested service on it because I was having power steering problems with my vehicle. They was courteous and nice. They performed a diagnostic check up on my vehicle. When's the Diagnostics was completed they recommend it several things I had previously already had done at another dealer in Malibu. In which I took my vehicle back to that other dealer in Malibu. And they stated did it was nothing wrong with my vehicle except some small gasket and it which only costed 350 dollars for whole repair job on my vehicle . In which Gabriel Gomez my representative they are at European Motors stated I needed alternator, power steering pump and transmission job. Plus a wheel alignment a tune-up and which I had just barely received a tune-up for the vehicle 2 days prior to bringing my car into them as well as a couple other things. Which none of this was true I found out . I denied services with them because it just did not sound correctly what they were saying. Gabriel Guzman was not there when I picked up my vehicle I talked to Chad Ingram and he could not tell me the reason why they was stayed I needed another tune up if I just really had one two days prior. They are a big rip off. If anyone wants to notify me you can notify me and asked me for proof. I will happily give you this proof. Just contact me at apdelgado11@aol.com. I will never never have any services done by European Motors. there or get any repairs done at European Motors... At all!!! At least the Jaguar area of European Motors. They recommend Parts and services just to make money for the company. Parts and services in which you do not need for your vehicle and overpriced them. Also they gave me an estimate on the parts and the labor. I thought I was going to need those parts so I purchase them there European Motors in which I had a estimate up the part. Which was much higher then when I went in to the parts department at European Motors and they sold me the part for much much less which Gabriel Guzman gave me a much higher price on his invoice / quote for the same exact part . Almost nearly everything on the invoice Gabriel Guzman had quoted me on the paperwork was wrong with my vehicle. So all was Fabricationed. Chad Ingram kind of stuttered a little with not knowing what to say when I told him I had just barely service the vehicle and they still were recommended it again . I'll be happy to refer anyone to someone other than desert European Motors for our import needs. That is a shame how bad they are taking advantage of people. Are consumers. In general they have a nice selection of vehicles but they're not looking at retaining long-term customers. They just want a quick sale. Specific Issues that I had in trying to purchase a Jaguar XKR from them remotely in August 2015: Paperwork: The paperwork was a fiasco. The numbers were inconsistent with what we discussed over the phone and in the end the purchase amount less the agreed upon fees less the down payment should have equaled what was remaining, but did not. Desert Motors tried to schedule an external company to meet with me to sign and notarize the paperwork. Besides the day and time miscommunicated between my sales person at Desert Motors (Kyle) and the finance person (Davin), the paperwork sent was much more extensive than what was emailed to me for pre-review - and the numbers were not the same as in the pre-review. The handwritten contract was almost illegible. The car had 1400 miles on it and was being sold as new, untitled, executive driven vehicle. As Kyle stated, it was "as new as new gets". A day or so before finalizing/signing the paperwork Kyle informed me he could not complete the Carfax paperwork to guarantee the vehicle because he said it only applied to preowned cars and "this car was still new and on MSO". He also said, "the car is new with some miles on it and is considered an untitled factory demo that is why you are leasing it so inexpensively. " Yet on their website it stated that it qualified for a Carfax report. Below are bullet points taken straight from Desert Motor's website, they stated: * No Total Loss Reported to CARFAX." * No Structural/Frame Damage Reported to CARFAX." * Vehicle Qualifies for the CARFAX Buyback Guarantee." * No Manufacturer Recalls Reported to CARFAX." * No Indication of an Odometer Rollback * No Accidents Damage Reported to CARFAX." * No Airbag Deployment Reported to CARFAX." At the eleventh hour prior to delivery we were informed the vehicle was going into the body shop for some repairs, not what I would consider "as new as new gets". When the vehicle finally arrived, it was missing hook screws in the trunk, the windshield wiper plastic nut cover and the cargo net (which was stated in the write-up as included). When I confronted Kyle about these missing items, he stated he sold the vehicle "as-is" (like it was a used car). Dealing with him was infuriating, when I asked about the Carfax I could not get one because the car was "new", when I asked for the missing pieces to be provided the car was "used" and sold as is, it can't be both. * After some pressure Kyle promised to send those items to me (this never occurred). * Kyle and Elaina (Finance Director) promised to put some "swag" in the car when it shipped (that never happened either). They also stated, "we would not be disappointed" (well we were). Although Desert Motors required and accepted our proof of insurance, we received a letter from US Bank (who financed the lease) about 1 month after receiving the vehicle that we had to LOWER our deductible for them (from $5k to $500) to meet their lease agreement requirements. This should have been caught by the dealership and pointed out for us so we could have rectified it prior to delivery. It also took about 8 weeks to get our plates even though we paid this dealership about $125 to have a special service expedite them. They didn't even ship the car with temporary plates. read more

I finally had to take a moment to write a quick review of the amazing customer service I always receive. I purchased a Land Rover almost two years ago (I Love my Land Rover!) I always try to keep up on maintaining it with it's scheduled services needed such as oil changes and when I notice something seeming a little bit off. Every single time I call to schedule an apt, the customer service is amazing! The low coolant signal came on in my car the other last week so I called to schedule an apt. I am always offered an appointment immediately. When I took my Land Rover in I was greeted by Chad Ingram who explained to me what was going to be done and asked me about any other things I noticed about my Land Rover. He is extremely patient in listening to me as I explain (in my own term!) about what I seem to be noticing in my car. He always is kind and offers extreme customer service. He even provided me with a loaner car as my car was being serviced for the day. The people who helped me check out the loaner car could not have been nicer. (Celine and the other person who sits behind her :o) Plus, my car is always cleaned and spotless when I get it back! Thank you to all the service people who do an amazing job! I just experienced the most pleasant car purchase negotiation with Michael Jackson, Sales Consultant at Porsche in Rancho Mirage, California. Prior to meeting in person to discuss the pre-owned vehicle that I was interested in, Mike and I spoke on the phone, and he was very articulate in response about my concerns and needs. I felt confident to meet with him. Being a single woman, sometimes it can be daunting to try to purchase a car with a dealership. I met Mike and he presented the car I wanted to buy. His presentation and explanation of all the car's amenities were very clear to me. I felt comfortable to proceed. My current car was offered as a trade-in, and he gave me top dollar on the blue book value. The car I was buying that day had already been priced below market value according to True Car Value. I researched that car all over the net to find that this indeed was going to be a good deal for me. Then meeting Mike, feeling confident with him, we negotiated a deal to my complete satisfaction. There was never any pressure. It would have been fine if I decided not to buy the car from him and walk out the door. A couple other times that I had experienced at other dealerships, I was given such a pressure talk that even if I wanted that car I would have walked. However, this experience with Michael Jackson restores my belief that there are professional consultants like him, that can make a purchase to buy the car of your dreams a great experience. We purchased a new 2018 Audi Q 7 from Indigo Auto Group and the experience was fantastic from the moment we walked in until we drove off with our new Audi Q 7. We had test driven the car previously but could not find the Q 7 in the SF Bay Area in the color and options we wanted. Our first contact was Nick Alexander- Audi Brand Specialist who was very helpful finding the exact Q 7 we were looking for. He was very professional and attentive to our needs. He was extremely knowledgeable about the car and answered every question we had concerning the car. We were introduced to the Sales Manager Rick Bingham who reinforced our desire to purchase the car and at that point we pulled the trigger and bought the car. We then met with Mark Wilson -Audi Technologist who spent over an hour introducing us to all the technologies built into the car which was extremely helpful since there is a lot of technology in the car. When putting the top of my 2006 Audi A4 Convertible in the garage a bolt came out from left clasping area. Subsequently, on May 2018, I took my car to Audi service which is a part of Indigo Auto Group in Rancho Mirage. My service adviser was Mr. Andre Vives. Couple days later I got a phone call that it was fixed a hardware had to be changed. I went to the Audi service to pick up my car. When a service employee took me where my car was, I realized that the back window which was connected to the soft top was fallen down, detached from the top. I, immediately, complained and said that the back window was not that way when I brought my car to the service, frankly, while fixing another part of the top they damaged the back window. That employee called then the Service Manager Mr. Gregor Jittlow. He explained to me why and how it could happen. I kept saying that it did happen when my car was in their service and the damage was caused by their service department employee, and subsequently they were responsible. He gave me his business card and wrote the address of an upholstery place in Cathedral City and said I should take my car and show him what can be done since that place was the place that they were working with. I did take my car to the given place, the owner, Raul, said that when the window is disconnected from the top it could not be fixed anymore; he could try glue it but it most likely would not work; even it worked would work for 1-2 months. Raul said that my car needed a new top and it would cost plus minus 2,000.00 USD. Subsequently, I called, Gregor Jittlow the Service Manager of the Audi. I said that I would not pay this amount since it was their fault and their bad; they did that damage. He called me next day and gave me the contact information of another place called "Carruzo" that they work together. He told me exactly "Go let him check what can be done, and when it comes to the price let him call me." I did take my car to the recommended place. The owner said that normally my car needed a new top but he could be able to saw the window back to the top; it might help. I told him that about the price he had to talk to Gregor from the Audi and call me back. When I called Gregor directly because of not receiving any phone call, I was told that he was on vacation for two weeks. It was like a bad joke. I was connected then to Andre and I had to explain to him everything from the beginning on. He said that he personally would work on my situation and call me back. No surprise; I did not get any phone call from Andre. After 3-4 days, when I called him, he said that it was his manager's responsibility and he will make sure that his manager calls me. His Manager, namely Marc or Marx, called me next day. I had to summarize him my problem, He said that Gregor was coming back to the service on Monday, June 18 and they will call me once he is back. Today is June 21st, not surprisingly, I did not receive any phone call. I am not going to call them again; I will go to the court. I really am disappointed in the quality of their service; moreover, I am disappointed in the way they treat their clients. I am having a hard time to understand why a company that sells high-end cars such as Audi and Indigo Auto Group, the company that they belong, do not care for their clients. I am wondering why they do not stand behind their mistake, why they let their client go through such unpleasant experience with them. My daily life has been affected negatively since I have not been able to drive my car in that shape for more than a month. I am truly disappointed in Audi Rancho Mirage and Indigo Auto Group. read more

We just moved into the valley and saw this place on our drive to our home, it looked real nice. I recently went in to Porsche and i took a friend. I was turning 18 next week and my father told me to go look at the new cars and see what like and to tell him later. So we went out to the dealer and when we arrived a yellow 911 caught my eye, me and my friend got close to it and i was looking through the window of it and then a dark haired man ran out and rudely told us what do you want, i said I'm looking for a car i might purchase and this one i liked best, he rudely said that's cute but i doubt you can afford any car here, we instantly left and told him he lost a customer. My father gave me a large limit of what i could get, it was well within the budget, and funny when we left i brought my fathers Bentley there and when we went back to it he ran at us saying HEY when we got in like thinking it wasn't ours, like we stole it from them, he stopped and said oh. We ignored him and left, we took our business to another dealer the next day, far but worth it and will be purchasing a car similar to the one i wanted. Huge improvement in customer service, the complete opposite of the way we were treated at Desert European. Will never recommend this dealer to anyone. read more

STAY AWAY from this place at all costs.....the worst experience I've ever had with any dealership, manager, or salesperson. I called and spoke to the general manager Gary Whitaker about buying a 2014 porsche cayman s. His first question was 'Where do you live?", I told him I live in the Bay Area and his response was "You're probably better off buying one from a local dealership that's closer." I tell him the distance is not a problem as I can fly down there and pick it up. I then ask him if he can give me an approximate price off msrp on ordering one and he tells says "If I give you a number you're just going to take it to your local dealership and they're gonna beat it, what good does that do me?" I tell him this is no way to talk to a potential customer, or anyone for that matter....and he hangs up the phone. I know it's hard to believe, but this was literally our entire conversation, word for word, no exaggeration. If I could give this place negative stars I would. How did this clown ever get hired in the first place? Stay away from this place and especially Gary Whitaker, he is the ABSOLUTE WORST! read more
