Solid four stars. I've been going to this location for years probably since like 1999 or 98. I can't even remember. It's been a long time. Since I've moved back to the Heights downtown area, I decided to give them another shot. So close to five stars! I utilized the valet service where they pick up my vehicle, do the oil change, they did a great job as well change the air filter, wipers, etc. that was a 5 star experience! That was an easy five star review for that service. It did an amazing job. I was out of town for three days so they picked up my vehicle. Did all the test and maintenance and everything like that and I come back on my vehicles at my valet. That was super convenient and very nice. I will always utilize that service. However, there was a bit of a scheduling issue. They forgot to pick it up Monday so I had to give him a call, but they got it taken care of that wasn't a big deal. I just kind of falls back to fundamentals if you have an appointment scheduled and sit pick the car up that way there's no confusion and I would have to call to make it happen. They brought the vehicle back and there was like oil stains on the front fender area. Typically most oil change companies cover that that way when you get the car back, it's not dirty. The problem is I just gotta wash at Mister car wash so I had to go take a bath and get it washed again. This is why I give them four stars instead of five. Other than that, it was a great experience. Customer service is great. The convenience of the valet service to pick up and drop off back at my valet. I can't tell you that right there is top-notch service. I'll give them a try again and probably change this to a five star because overall the experience was great. read more

I recently purchased a 2021 Ford F-150 Lariat from Tommie Vaughn Ford in Houston. The vehicle was advertised online as "Ford Blue Certified," which includes inspection and warranty coverage. After the purchase, I was not provided any certification paperwork or warranty details. Shortly after, I was informed the truck had a coolant issue that could require a full engine replacement. When I returned to the dealership, I had to push multiple times and show proof of the listing before they acknowledged the certification. Even then, there was a delay in providing proper documentation, which raised concerns about whether the certification had actually been completed correctly. During the financing process, I was presented with paperwork reflecting a much higher total amount than expected (around $50k vs. approximately $39k discussed), which I had to question before proceeding. I was also presented with additional add-ons that I had to decline and have removed. In addition, the truck was not provided with a full tank of gas at delivery, and despite the situation, I was not offered any form of compensation for the inconvenience. Due to the condition of the vehicle, the lack of transparency, and the overall experience, I chose to return the truck. I recommend that anyone shopping here verify certification directly with Ford, carefully review all paperwork before signing, and request all documentation upfront. I had a terrible experience with Tommie Vaughn Ford and feel completely misled by their service department. My truck battery died and I also had an oil issue, so I used their valet service (which was the only positive part of the whole experience). Once they picked up my truck, I received zero communication for almost an entire week. No updates, no timeline, no explanation -- and I was left without a vehicle the entire time. After all of that, they did not diagnose the actual issue at all. They simply replaced the battery and told me nothing else was wrong. Then came the biggest shock: they charged me $350 for a battery that every other shop quoted at $150-$180. When the service rep Liz and I spoke on the phone, she told me the battery would be around $160, and at no point did she mention a $300+ charge. When I asked them to review the recorded call (since their automated message claims calls are recorded), they suddenly said they "don't record calls," which was extremely suspicious. They insisted this was "the lowest price I could get anywhere," which was simply not true. And the worst part: they only give you the detailed invoice after you've already paid and after your truck is returned, so you can't dispute anything beforehand. After holding my truck for a week, giving me no updates, failing to diagnose the problem, and overcharging me for a basic battery replacement, I'm convinced their process is misleading at best and shady at worst. Been coming here as a regular for ford maintence. Location: Shepherd Dr We been coming here for quite some time, as we been ford loyal since 2014. I have noticed service has gone downhill. Last oil change, I noticed they dirty the air filter sensor causing the truck to stall. I had to pay to get it towed and realized it was the sensor causing the issued. When mentioned the sensor they took no responsibility. We are now careful and tell them to not touch filter. Last visit I tried to do maintence again, however after checking previous receipt, I noticed they are now charging a credit card service fee. When asked if this was QUICK LANE OR TOMMIE, they confirm this is only a Tommie company fee. I called other quick lane locations and they do not charge a fee. This made me stop bringing my trucks here and look elsewhere. read more

Several months ago I purchased a new ranger pick up . Every thing was fine usual haggling no biggie . They called and said my registration was in and I told them I would come in as soon as I could that I lived over a hundred miles away . The lady suggested that they mail it to me and I thanked her . Few weeks later never received it and called and they said they mailed it i gave it more time and called again this time they told me I had to go to the court house and replace it at my expense. I called my salesman 5 times each time he told me he would handle it and never did the sixth time he told me he was going to personally handle it and never did so much for that . This was my third vehicle purchase I have made there and have sent many customers to my salesman and they purchased also . During a recent purchase of a used car, Tommie Vaughan staff used tactics meant to take unfair advantage of the buyer. When presented with the offer, the agent directed our attention to a payment schedule based on a "worst case" interest rate instead of the purchase price which now included an additional refurbishment fee of $1895 over the internet purchase price. The kept us waiting for over an hour to speak with finance representative who then presented us with financing option that was 3% higher than the rate that we were quoted from our credit union. I left several messages which were not answered, went by in person three or 4 times to ask for an update, and was unable to get through on the phone on multiple occasions. They don't care about your issues, they have no intention of providing any sort of service - the warm and fuzzies quit as soon as the check cleared. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a car repair. They originally told me the repair (one car window back seat) would be done the day of or at the latest the day after. Recently went for a Oil Change, tire rotation and inspection and the next day my F150 Stalled on the highway. Turns out During the multipoint inspection the technician let dirt and bugs into the air filter causing my mass airflow sensor to get clogged. Of course we didn't know this was the cause until we had it towed ($250) and put the computer to run the code which was code P2195 and P2197. I'm not sure if this was done on purpose so i could take my truck back and cost Thousands of dollars, but thank god we had the code reader and all we had to do was clean the sensor. However, today was the second time (in a row) where the service tech did not reinstall one of the bolts that hold my skid plates in place. It was the same bolt they lost last time! Is it a big deal? No, more of a minor annoyance. It isn't a safety issue per se, but the rattle that it causes is extremely off-putting and the fact that this has happened twice in a row causes me serious concern. What if the next time they don't tighten the drain plug or miss some lug nuts? Blown engine? Lose a tire at 60 mph on the freeway? Very concerning. read more
