Also I was excited that they are currently running a Living Social deal on their massages, so I quickly snagged one. As soon as I walked in, I instantly felt at home with the relaxing vibe and gorgeous décor. I was in need of a good deep tissue massage, considering I am consistently in the gym and I do weight training. So a good massage is very beneficial. My massage therapist, Renee was awesome. Before the session we went over what the massage will entail, as well as I was able to choose my aromatherapy oil for the appointment. He also inquired on what muscle groups I would like to focus on, me personally I wanted all the muscle groups focused on, due to my strenuous total body workouts. When I say that Renee did not disappoint, he massaged out all the kinks, including to focus on my quads and calves. Not to mention he paid attention to the pressure points in my feet. Mind you I commute regularly to DC via the Marc train so I am constantly on the go. That foot massage was heavenly. The massage was so great I already booked my next two visits. I am so glad that I finally was able to have a service done here at Honey&Co. They have a permanent customer in me from now on. I highly recommend Renee for your massage needs, he is highly skilled with over 15 years of massage therapy experience, as well as being a former manager of the Ritz Carlton in Bethesda, so I trust him. He told me to take a seat and asked why I was there or what I needed, something to that effect. I told him I'd recently moved and all my joints ached. He left me to get undressed and on the table, then returned shortly for the massage. I'd say overall it was an excellent massage. I'd let him know during the session I liked a lot of pressure, which he mostly provided for the rest of the massage. After the massage, I felt like new person and my joints no longer ached. Overall, excellent visit. I've never had a male masseuse before and I do feel I was a little uncomfortable about that, BUT, I cannot deny how good my body felt afterward. When you arrive to get nails done, it's quite possible that you may have a room to yourself :) and everything from the client services to the ambiance is exceptional. COVID practices: when you arrive (appointments only), they open the door for you, check your temperature, ask you to sanitize your hands, and give you a sanitizing wipe your clean your phone (as you'll be touching it often). They offer you a bottle of water or a glass of champagne, wine, or mimosa. Yasssss! Now, you will immediately be taken into another, fun, light, vacation-like experience by the detailed decór. It's so beautiful the way the owners put so much love and attention into curating each part of your experience. You feel like this moment was crafted JUST for you. The nail specialist that I worked with, Kyra (pronounces KI-Ra) was full of light, love, energy, and offered therapeutic vibes. The massage therapist, Janine, who is also the owner was very curt to me when letting me in. She just walked away and I followed her to a desk area where she handed me a form to fill out. I had paid for an hour long massage with reflexology but looking at the clock, by the time she was done, it had only been about 48 mins. The room is not the most comfortable as I've enjoyed more dimly lit places where you can enjoy the relaxing massage - this room was full of sunlight. No calming music played and the loud humming of the AC was distracting. While massaging my neck, I kept feeling Janine's jagged nails digging into my skin making it quite uncomfortable. I've had way better massages while this was barely mediocre to me. Not a great place or massage therapist from what I experienced and I don't ever plan on coming here again.
