I've been going to this gym for almost 4 years and thankful to have found my "home gym". It's very clean, doesn't "smell like a gym", has a great layout and equipment, and most importantly supportive coaches along with welcoming and encouraging gym goers. Glad I joined. Very challenging but scalable workouts that really push your body to its limits. They use a lot of different equipment, keeping things from getting boring week to week. Kettle bells, box jumps, pullups, snatches, burpees, wall ball, the list of challenging exercises is endless here. I've been attending Fitness and Conditioning of Frisco for almost a month now and can say its been a great experience. I've had the fortune of attending classes taught by Brittany and Corey both of which do a great job of explaining each workout at the beginning of each class. They also spend personal time during the workouts to ensure that I have the mechanics down. The classes have a casual feel with extreme results and are generally open and easy to attend (which is the opposite of some other gyms I've attended in the past that included long wait list and penalties). I used to come here when it was Frisco Crossfit and were located on the Tollway. They have moved and the new facility is fantastic. They've added more free weight equipment, benches, etc. I like it there for many reasons. The coaches pay attention to students and work to correct form. They are encouraging and work to get students through the workouts. The classes are typically broken down into Warm-up, Conditioning, Strength, and cool down. Though it does change. I like that the workouts are set, you show up and do the workout. They keep you focused but also offer a friendly atmosphere. If you are looking for a gym to flex your muscles and hang out on equipment, this isn't the place for you. If you are into workouts that make you sweat and sore for a day or two, then you've found the right place. I returned because I like the coaches, the classes and want to be driven harder than I can do myself. If you are looking for a place to work out, you should give them a try. read more

The community here is awesome. Everyone is very friendly and everyone seems to go out of their way to welcome guests and those new to crossfit. Drop-ins are recognized at the beginning at class and welcomed with a fist bump from the members. The atmosphere here is awesome too - everyone is very supportive and encouraging of others throughout and after the WOD. I purchased the Groupon for 10 classes along with a friend and have completed my sessions. Let me just also say that I have been doing boot camp workouts for the past 2+ years. When I walked into the gym for my first class, the scene seemed to be chaotic (not necessarily in a bad way). Everyone was moving, breathing hard and sweating it out. I was excited for a strong work-out to put me on my ass. At first, I was surprised at how slowly the first class I attended moved. We spent a lot of time standing around either getting instructions or resting in between activity. The class also ended before the hour was up. I was left expecting more. However, it was January and it was right after a Groupon deal (lots of new clients). As I went to additional classes, some left me feeling that I had a really great work-out while other days I was left feeling that I could have done more. However, I was getting sore afterwards. I knew that I had to trust the trainers and coaches. I enjoyed learning to perfect techniques. My squats and lunges have gotten stronger, as have my push-ups. There was a lot more attention made to me and my form at FCF than at the boot camps I attend. Trainers/coaches/staff: They are great! I cannot say enough great things about the people who work at FCF! They make an effort to know everyone by name and do a great job of it. They are encouraging and motivating. They also have interns who are enthusiastic about the program and help spot out everyone's form throughout the workouts. Format is a strength work out (SWOD) followed by a cardio work out (CWOD). I was surprised that often times the CWOD could be just 8-20 minutes. Like I mentioned, some seemed more intense than others. Class times: lots of options to fit your schedule! This is a great part of the gym. There is a class on the hour every hour in the morning (5:30-9:30), a noon class, and then picking back up at 4:30 for the evening with 2-4 more classes. They also host an open class for free on Saturday mornings. I'm not sure if I will continue at FCF. Mostly, I'm undecided if the full price of the membership is worth the results I'm getting in my workouts as compared to the cost/results at boot camp. I think it is a great atmosphere, excellent work-out, encouraging environment and would recommend it to anyone considering it who is up for a challenging workout and wants to ensure proper form while executing exercises. Note: they are about to expand the gym this spring, which will give much needed more space. I think I will revisit after this is complete and see how I like it at that time. read more

I initially bought a Groupon for this box, as well as 2 other boxes. I am so torn at this time. I really want to join this box, but I have the other groupons floating around. What does one do?? I will tell you why I am so torn. I had my first class and it was some hard core cardio. I walked into my first workout of the day of 10 suicides, 5 burpees, and a 200m row...and repeat 10 times. Now I could be slightly off...but it was tough. Burpees are crazy...and trying to do it in a fast manner for your first time is killer. I couldn't finish all the rounds, but the coaches were very supportive even when I was lying face down...in my own sweat, on the ground trying to catch my breath. You are doing everything at your own pace...so dont sweat it when you see your fellow crossfitters moving on quickly. I am all about pushing my limits myself...I guess I am a masochist. Everyone was real nice and always telling me what a good job I was doing. My boss always teases me about crossfit being somewhat cultish...and yes..it is. At the end of the day...why wouldn't you want to surround yourself with like minded individuals who want to torture themselves to look better and feel better about themselves?? The workout changes on a daily basis. You will be sore....but never bored. I really enjoy the people here and since its not far from my new gig...so I do see myself becoming a member here since you guys are so nice! read more

This location has a great kids program that is affordable and according my daughter, it is fun. I do not personally work out here, opting instead of doing my own program at a local gym, however I have several friends that workout at Crossfit and they love it. This box epitomizes all the parts of fitness that make an enjoyable experience. The workouts are hard. The coaches are supportive, motivational, and knowledgeable. The community is second to none. It can be intimidating to try out a Crossfit box, as when you usually walk in they are getting down to business and you feel like you're a bit out of place.
