My specific search was for a good Chinese massage place as I used to frequent two different places when I lived in Philly and they always gave good, deep massages. NO, I WAS NOT LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO GIVE ME A HAND JOB....so, if your looking for THAT review please move on and check your moral values. Another factor in my search is that I have a handful of fancy massage places in the town I live in and there is a massage school to boot......but...I usually find the places back home to be a bit pretentious and they never seem to dig hard enough into my muscles and nerves (maybe I haven't found the right place). Anyway... I am not familiar with Harrisburg so I spent some time researching massage shops/spas and it seems that there are many options for a good (4star+) massage place. I ended up choosing Angel Spa as they had more than 40 reviews and high ratings. I booked with them but they overbooked. The woman that runs the shop was super cool and thoughtful and suggested I move my appointment to their second location, Comfy Massage. I'm happy that it was moved. My massage was thorough, the masseuse adjusted pressure appropriately for different muscle groups, bones and nerves. She was very conscious of whether or not she was hurting me because she was digging, hard. I loved it and I feel fantastic. The rooms were clean, fresh and orderly. All of the furniture was nice, good soothing vibe. Next time I am passing through I will bring my wife, she will love this place too. Hope my review was helpful.

I've been to other massage therapists in the area, but no one has been as good as her. I even got my best friend a gift card here for her birthday back in November and she had a great experience there as well. The place is tucked back behind the hospital and inside it's nice and inviting. Everyone there is really nice. So glad I found this place!

I went to this spa to try out a scalp and head massage. I was gifted the serenity retreat package…read moreand enjoyed the experience, but was a bit underwhelmed with parts of it. The total package cost about $230 for a 2 hour session that included head, neck, scalp massage, hand massage, dry brush and shampoo, and gua sha face sculpting. It also included a sound bath and Chakra realignment as advertised in the package. Every portion lasted about 2 to 3 minutes, so just when you were becoming relaxed, she'd start a new piece of the package. As its in a salon, it was pretty noisy hearing the staff speaking with each other and alot of noise from the dishes being used. I appreciated Mimi's customer service, but thought it was a bit lacking on a gentle touch. When she would move my head to rinse, it was an abrupt movement and basically pushed my head up to sit up rather than just guiding me. The massages were more like light rubs and again, only lasted about 2 to 3 minutes. The hot stone rub lasted about 2 minutes. The sound bath lasted 3 minutes and I dont even know if she realigned my chakras. I felt as though there was too much involved in these packages to really help relieve stress or focus on one portion of the body. For the amount of money paid, I would have expected a bit more, but not a bad experience.
