Another factor in my search is that I have a handful of fancy massage places in the town I live in and there is a massage school to boot......but...I usually find the places back home to be a bit pretentious and they never seem to dig hard enough into my muscles and nerves (maybe I haven't found the right place). Anyway... I am not familiar with Harrisburg so I spent some time researching massage shops/spas and it seems that there are many options for a good (4star+) massage place. I ended up choosing Angel Spa as they had more than 40 reviews and high ratings. I booked with them but they overbooked. The woman that runs the shop was super cool and thoughtful and suggested I move my appointment to their second location, Comfy Massage. I'm happy that it was moved. My massage was thorough, the masseuse adjusted pressure appropriately for different muscle groups, bones and nerves. She was very conscious of whether or not she was hurting me because she was digging, hard. I loved it and I feel fantastic. The rooms were clean, fresh and orderly. All of the furniture was nice, good soothing vibe. Next time I am passing through I will bring my wife, she will love this place too. Hope my review was helpful.

It's more of a professional Dr. office type vibe. However, is it probably one of the best massages you will ever have!! Read on :) Michael took me into one of the rooms and explained reflexology. Very interesting! All I had to do it take off my shoes/socks and roll my pants up to my knees, lay on the comfy massage table and he'd do the rest. Thankfully, I don't have any areas of chronic pain or issues, but if you do--he is very adaptable to your needs. The reflexology massage mostly is inclusive to your feet. There is a little bit of hand massage as well. It was very relaxing and I really enjoyed it. Michael is very professional and extremely knowledgeable about massage. Each massage I've had has been unique and completely what I needed at that time. The massage therapists there really work off intuition and you're not going to get the same session from each practitioner. One of the therapists is also a nutritionist with an holistic approach and another is also a life coach! Lovely, lovely experience each visit. I've also taken a yoga class there from Zoe. She does free yoga once a month so I felt like it was a really good opportunity to get in and try out the space. There are other instructors there (and please forgive me, I'm a little ignorant when it comes to types/styles of yoga) who teach/guide classes where you memorize the flow and they are there to assist you further into a pose or help you get into a handstand, whatever. I have ONLY OBSERVED these classes, I am not that advanced yet. When Bobbi Misti comes back in May 2018, I may try to take on the class! They also have a great gift/salve/tincture/essential oil boutique. I seriously think this is a hidden gem for gift shopping. I think everything they have is locally made, so that's pretty cool that they're supporting other local businesses in their business.
