When I walked in to the center and I was greeted by two very nice young ladies at the front desk. This is an amazing rehab facility from the office personnel to the OT and PT (Physical Therapy), including SP (Speech Therapy therapists. I've been through physical therapy with them a few times and the therapists here are the best. Cathleen with the help from her assistance Ashley put me throw the paces two times a week for 8 weeks in order to regain strength in my right ankle and , lessen the pain in both knees,. Cathleen would showed me how to do each exercise and then had me do them. Well at first I felt like a real failure but she would give me the encouragement to succeed. Cathleen always challenge me to do the my best and by the time I finished with all the sessions I left better then when I started. Everyone there is personable and care for a patient's well-being. I would I HIGHLY recommend Cathleen or any of the other staff because they always have a smile and an encouraging word as you are training. Thank you Cathleen and Ashley!!!!

We appreciate how honest the therapist was about how she didn't see any underlying concerns with her in this area and was not pushy about continuing therapy sessions. But we did discuss perhaps occupational therapy to help her with feeding for future development. So we booked a few feeding OT sessions with Nadia and my daughter was in love with her from day 1. She was kind, patient and instantly connected with our daughter in trying to pin point the best way to encourage her to open up on how she interacts with food. Would highly recommend.

My son has been attending speech therapy sessions at Fairfax Pediatric Therapy since early January…read more He is almost 9 and has always struggled with his "s," "sh," and "ch" sounds - but we waited to see if he would grow out of it (he didn't). On recommendation of our dentist, we tried some videos to help him with speech, but we were not successful on our own. After a Zoom call with Ariel and Ahmad, the speech therapist, we felt very confident and comfortable with Fairfax Pediatric Therapy. After the first session, my son made huge strides in his "sh" sounds - he was actually able to articulate it correctly, even if it was a struggle. Long story short, as of today (3 months after starting) Finn has met all of his speech goals and no longer needs the services. Both Ahmad and Finn worked hard to make this happen - and in such a short time. I didn't expect progress so fast, to be honest. Not only that - my kiddo actually looked forward to the sessions. Ahmad took the time to get to know his interests - chess and strategy games - and built the sessions around play. When we left today, for the last time, Finn said he was going to miss his friend. We have had the best experience! Thank you.

I've never been in physical therapy a day before in my life, so I was nervous and not sure what to expect. I was sent to PT by an orthopedic doctor after I sought help for chronic lower back pain. I've dealt with it for 5-6 years but a 100% telework schedule due to COVID kicked it into high gear. It was debilitating and got to the point where I would just lay down and cry because of how much it hurt. They've done a great job of making patients feel safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. Everyone wears masks and hand sanitizer is widely available throughout the office. The front desk has an acrylic partition and they're great about using hand sanitizer when they collect your payment. All the staff are constantly cleaning equipment. Now, onto the physical therapists themselves. I first met with Dr. Hiral Naik. She did my initial assessment and then gave me some at-home exercises to keep up on. She then gave me a deep-tissue massage which HURT but I felt great afterwards. I had no idea I had so much tension. I started working with Dr. Josh Summers after that. He's a fantastic instructor and got me working on a regular round of exercises at the office. I'm now more aware of my body and know how to work out safely. Form is everything! Dr. Rachel Odom is now my regular PT and let me tell you - she changed my life. During our first session together, she identified issues with my hip/pelvis alignment and corrected it. This whole time, I thought I had issues with my spine!! The relief was immediate and I spent the rest of my week gliding around, amazed that I was no longer in debilitating pain. I see Rachel regularly now, once per week, and she's great about regulating my pain, guiding me through new exercises to strengthen my muscles, and follow-through on what I'm doing at home. Posture, stretching, minding your alignment, and strengthening. Everyone has always been friendly, professional, and they genuinely care about your pain management and health. For years, my friends and coworkers were saying that I was exaggerating my pain or that I was "too young" to have back pain. Josh and Rachel immediately knew something was wrong. It was incredibly validating to know that I wasn't crazy and that yes, my pain really was that bad. They have done everything in their power (and continue to!) to treat me. I have a long way to go before I think I can graduate from PT but my qualify of life is so much better. My pain is now at a manageable level and I'm more aware of my body than I was before. Scheduling my appointments are easy - the front desk staff has always been friendly (Chris and Tammy). I have a weekly standing appointment and regularly receive text message reminders. I pay up-front, sign, and schedule my appointment for the following week then and there. The location is super easy to get to and parking is plentiful. Be aware of tight corners around the parking garage, it can get a little crowded during peak hours. Overall, can't recommend this place enough!

The medical assistant (I think it was Connor) was super nice and took me back to the examining room to go over the issues I was having. After that I had x-rays and the technician was super nice/efficient. Dr. Seal came in shortly after and we agreed I'd work on core strengthening through physical therapy and if the sciatica/piriformis didn't improve after a month I'd have an MRI. Unfortunately I was unable to get in for physical therapy at the Fairfax office, but Dr. Seal told me I could go anywhere for the physical therapy (didn't have to be with Town Center Ortho). I started core exercises on my own and then found a studio for pilates utilizing a reformer, which I've started over the past couple of weeks and that's been going very well. My experience with Town Center Ortho was very positive, staff was nice and efficient and I did not wait more than 5-10 minutes, after finishing my paperwork, before I was called back. The only negative I'd note and it's very subjective - based on me running on the warmer side - I was in a back corner room that was getting a lot of sunlight that day and it was really warm... I was tempted to open a window lol.

I believe it was the best decision we could've made because my son gets both speech and OT therapy that is coordinated. The therapists, all the staff, Judy and Richard have been a wonderful support to our family and we can honestly say that thanks to this amazing team both of my sons have made great progress. My younger son went from not being able to communicate and being afraid of the world around him and many activities that most toddlers do to being able to communicate/have conversations and engaging with other children and activities. He's now making great progress on his fine motor skills, so many of his sensory challenges have resolved and he's even eating different foods/textures now. There are so many progresses my kids have made that it's hard to list them all. I'm thankful we found this facility. Their DIR Floor time approach helped my son to be comfortable with his team so when we started he didn't spend time in meltdown mode and was able to participate and engage with his therapists. I believe this approach was very key to the success we've seen in his progress. I believe having both speech and OT in this whole/body whole/person approach has had a great positive impact. Additionally, the facility really meets their therapy needs with spacious rooms with different themes and different activities to work on different therapy needs. My kids are excited and happy to go to therapy. They are never bored as they go to different rooms each week that keeps them engaged. Judy and Richard and the therapists always make time for me whenever I have a question or just need someone to talk to. Richard really set our minds at ease with dealing the insurance companies. He understand their billing and makes sure we understand our coverage so we can get the most services covered for our kids. The therapists are very knowledgeable and work so well with the kids. Judy has let us look over her library of books and resources and been a great support. We do Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Listening Therapy, Interactive Metronome. We highly recommend Creative Health!

I will say the rehab is great but in certain situations they push too much. Rehab for someone 75 and up 5 to 6 times a week for an hour might be too much, but that's another story. I was under the impression that a skilled nursing facility would provide the same level of care as the hospital. Boy, was I wrong. The place smelled like piss and poop as soon as I walked in. There were long term care residents just sitting in the hallway in their wheelchairs, some were not dressed appropriately and appeared they had needs far greater than rehab. At this point, I knew we made the wrong decision. This was not going to be a nice rehab vacation. My loved one had a private room with her own personal bathroom. Sounds great right? The room was tiny and dirty. The whole building appears to need a good scrubbing down and cleaned. The curtains had stains on them and the bed and furniture look like something from 1980. I really don't know the time frame of the hospital bed because I have never seen a wood particle hospital bed. Now management needs to get it together and update the furniture, you know your product is old. At what point do you all think beds need to be replaced? 20, 30, 40 or 50 years? Updates are a good thing. Residents only get baths twice a week. My loved one was unable to get into the shower due to her recent surgery. So the CNA washed her down with a towel and water no soap. Now in the hospital they do bedside baths with sanitized wipes. Baths with sanitized wipes never occurred during our stay. If they have wipes they were never used. She was only provided water and towel. No one provided foley care either. The whole time I was questioning why are we going through this? The level of care I would provide at home was higher than what she was being provided here. The skilled nurse spends most of her day passing out medicine. She does not have enough time to spend with the residents. The CNA's do not come by daily as they do in the hospital to get the resident washed, teeth brushed and dressed. They don't have enough time because they have too many residents to care for. Also, people cry out during the day and night. I didn't know why but that was scary. I was as scared to leave my loved one at night. I would constantly sit with her to ensure she was ok. At the 5 day mark my loved one started to get sick. By day 7 she had a pre-scheduled Dr appointment and when I came to get her she looked different than the day before. At this point, I loaded her in the wheelchair to take her to her pre-scheduled appointment. During the car ride she was very lethargic and her condition worsened so I took her to the ER. Thank God, I did. She stayed in the hospital for 4 days. Overall, this place needs to hire more trained CNA's, nurses, and cleaning staff should be there around the clock. They need to really deep dive into their patient cleaning and infection policy and ensure it really takes place, rather than just saying that they do. Bedside baths with wipes/foley care should be done. Ask the patient if it was done not the CNA. These suggestions need to be implemented immediately. They need to invest in better furniture. Update the beds and curtains. Also, the food was not appetizing.
