I had a cleaning appointment scheduled with Lilli, who has been excellent, to the point I actually fly in from Florida for my appointments with her. When I arrived today, I was told I'd be seeing a different hygienist. I explained that I specifically booked with Lilli three months in advance for that exact reason. The receptionist, a blonde, middle-aged woman, was dismissive and unapologetic, even after I made it clear I had traveled for this appointment. Instead of taking ownership, she suggested I may have made a mistake, which was both incorrect and inappropriate. There was no effort to accommodate the situation or correct it. When I asked to speak with Dr. Odinsky, she refused and repeatedly spoke over me until I had to ask her to stop and listen. This isn't about a scheduling error, those happen. It's about how it was handled. There was no accountability, no attempt to resolve the issue, and no basic level of professionalism. This would not have happened under Dr. Singer's ownership. The difference in how patients are treated is noticeable and extremely disappointing. read more

This is what dentistry should be all about. I was seen by Dr. Odinsky no questions asked even before we could fully establish what would be or would not be covered by my dental insurance. He examined a tooth that was previously diagnosed by another practice as an abscess in a tooth that was crowned and had a root canal in previously. He more than likely saved my tooth by detecting the source of my discomfort. It was an adjacent tooth, which had an Enamel-Dentine fracture in it. Dr. Osdinsky will follow-up with additional diagnostic tools to rule out missing anything on the likely previously misdiagnosed root canal tooth, which is the prudent thing to do, but has in the meantime treated the fractured tooth with Hydroxyapetite and Ozone treatment, to help with the tooth remineralization and fight back any potential anaerobic infection with minimal disturbance to the health of my oral biome. Knowing what I know now about oral health and its implications and impact on very serious general ailments elsewhere in the body, having a knowledgeable dentist who doesn't prescribe broad-spectrum antibiotics willy-nilly but instead treats things responsibly. Dr. Odinsky's bedside manners are excellent and he is very pleasant to interact with. The staff is equally friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. read more

I was given Dr. Singer's name by a friend who had nothing but positive things to say about his service, his staff, and his work. I had not been to the dentist in about 10 years and knew I would have quite a bit of work to do. I was personally ashamed of the state my teeth were in. On my first visit to Dr. Singer he calmed my fears and laid out a reasonable plan to remedy my dental issues in a respectful, budget-friendly, and professional manner. All my worries were quickly dispelled and I began looking forward to the work being completed on some of teeth of mine which were in very poor shape. Since that first visit I have been back 3 times to have 5 extractions and could not be happier with the results. I went to his office back in 2008 for a cleaning. When I went for my cleaning, he told me that I had cavities so I purposely got them filled. At this time, I had no insurance so I was paying $250 per tooth. He also told me to get my wisdom teeth out by saying that I would have problems with them. I didn't listen and after 10 years, I had no problems with them. My total bill was like a 1,000 for a treatment plan, and this would have been all out of pocket because I had no insurance.After getting some type of insurance, I go to another place and discover that he put sealants on the teeth. I was told this by three dentists, and I was a little surprised since I thought I paid for fillings. At 25 they told me I had gum disease and 7 cavities. I have always had fine dental health my whole life. I only made the switch because there was a whitening service offered at Singer's office that was much cheaper than my dentist. When I called they said I would have to get an exam/cleaning at my first visit to see what they are working with(understandable). However, upon examination I was told I had 7 (yes 7) cavities. I thought to myself omg that's terrible but maybe my other dentist didn't see them. Next I went into the cleaning room and after what I felt had been a nice conversation was told I have gum disease! I wanted to cry. How could I have all this when I just went to my dentist last year? All of these things would cost thousands of dollars! On top of that I would be a lifelong patient of theirs if I went for gum disease treatment ($$$). I left feeling so upset and mad at my old dentist....that he would let my teeth get to this point. Eventually my parents saw the bill and what they were saying and immediately told me to get a second opinion at my dentist's office. When I went back to my very reputable dentist and told him the story he was concerned. After doing a full examination and probing he said I had 2 cavities and zero signs of gum disease(I'm only 25). I felt so much better. Dr. Singer's office has great bed side manner, maybe even excellent, but that doesn't take away from the fact they tried to suck me for every dollar I had. I also didn't like how they sent me an email option to write a review and that review would be added to so many other sites instantly. It felt more like a business than a doctor's office. Before I get nervous, hate the sounds, my gums would hurt after a cleaning, now thanks to him and his staff I get sedation every time I go. If I am cold they would give me a blanket. I feel fortunate to have found Dr. Singer's office. I had too many mercury fillings and was suffering from related health problems. Joel did a fantastic job removing and replacing them all, he is gentle and careful, detail oriented in making sure the finished filling (or crown or whatever else) is as perfect as it gets. They also take care to minimize mercury ingestion during the removal process. The office felt 20 years ahead of my previous dentist's office and it was such a huge relief to get all that work done. After removing and detoxing from all that mercury I feel much better, my digestive problems are much less, my chronic fatigue is nowhere near as severe and I don't get sick nearly as often. I recently visited Dr. Singer's office after having not-so-satisfying dental work done by another local dentist and needing to get more fillings done. I'd also been wanting to find a holistic dentist to remove old amalgams and just take a more holistic approach in general. When I called and spoke to Sasha, it was such a pleasant, easy exchange. It made me wish I'd found this office sooner. She was so helpful and friendly. Not exactly what you normally encounter when you call an office to get info and make an appointment. The day of my first appointment Laurie took me back to take x rays and discuss things a bit before Dr. Singer came in. She was so warm and friendly as well! I felt completely at ease. Dr. Singer then came in and discussed what the x rays showed with me. It was NOT the typical dentist experience where you basically are told what they're going to do. He showed me things about my teeth no dentist had ever shown me or bothered to mention. Definitely more of a focus on teeth and patients as people, as opposed to getting as many people into the chair as possible. Also, he didn't make me feel guilty or that I needed to rush to get certain things done. Instead, he explained what he felt were priorities and said it was up to me how I wanted to handle it. I am completely sold. Sasha then explained how to handle my insurance company to find out what would be covered, and said the office would bill them so I wouldn't have to. I'm not a "high maintenance" patient but I was pleasantly surprised at the difference when I visited Dr. Singer for the first time. There is an obvious difference between a dentist who just gets the job done and one who is caring and focused on the experience of the patient. In the past I'd been unnecessarily dealing with dentists to get the job done well but with less focus on the patient during the process. Ok. Let me put this into perspective for you. I am the person who was traumatized as a child in the dentist chair. I refused once to open my mouth out of pure fear. (And the fear was warranted). I left my childhood with a mouth full of metal. It was terrible. I didn't see a dentist again until I was in my 20's. Ok experience, but then I moved. Fast forward a few years (about 25) and here I am, cracked mercury filling, unknown amount of cavities, and other issues that could have been lurking. I was SCARED. But alas. I found Dr. Singer. No recommendation at the time, (but has since been highly recommended by my daughter's amazing orthodontist). I chose Dr. Singer because he was one of the few who I found who would address replacing mercury fillings. I knew I had one that was cracked, and I didn't want another one. Well, Dr. Singer has now replaced ALL of my mercury fillings (as well as addressing a few other issues) and I can honestly say I had no pain. Ok. Maybe an Advil was necessary afterwards, but only one. But there was literally NO pain at all for all of that work while it was happening, and an Advil was all I needed to alleviate the minor discomfort afterwards. And, trust me, the work was pretty extensive! Also, talk about talking you through what you'll experience to help you along. He's great. His staff, just as amazing. I'm just not afraid to go there at all. The one cracked mercury filling I had to address. The rest I didn't. I ELECTED to have it all done! Yes, it was my CHOICE! So, long story short. If you're afraid, don't be. I promise you it will be ok. If I did it.......anyone can!! (And my mother will even attest to that!) read more

I came across Dr. Singers website after researching dental options online. I was quite apprehensive prior to my first interaction with his team, knowing I had something going on with my tooth and being terrified of the dentist. I called and left a message and first thing the following morning, they returned my call! From my first communication with them, they were extremely friendly, reassuring and set me at ease! It was great. They were able to squeeze in an appointment for me, but I never felt "squeezed in" or that Dr. Singer was in a rush. He was able to show me concretely what was going on with my cavity, options for care, suggestions etc. I met with a staff member for awhile after my appointment so she could answer any questions I had and explain the process in detail moving forward since I had opted for sedation. I felt so much better after my appointment knowing that I had a plan in place with a Dr. that I felt comfortable with and that had gained my trust by being responsive to my fears and respectful of them. I'm now not dreading having my fillings done. I trust that Dr.Singer and his team will take good care of me! I'd like to also make mention of his office, which is modern, clean and has a comfortable feeling. It did not feel like an antiquated office in any way shape or form. I'd definitely recommend his practice to anyone looking for a professional team of people who are caring, reassuring and kind. I've honestly never experienced another Dentist or team like this one. I have had the unfortunate case of meeting several dentists within my insurance plan that had little concern for a ongoing problem with my gums. So I began to do my own research and found that my condition, periodontitis and gum recession would only worsen if not addressed promptly. I found singers office on a whim and promptly scheduled an appointment. Upon entering his office i was indeed surprised to find a welcoming and very accommodating staff who made me feel as though I were a priority patient as apposed to my previous dentists office, whose staff bordered on incompetent with gross disdain for any of my concerns. Singers staff along with dr singer himself, being quite the contrary, put me at ease and promptly addressed my concerns in a educational and non judgmental manner. I continue to see dr singer, being a patient of his for about two years now and am extremely pleased with his handling of my case. I recently had a procedure done, scaling and root planning which I was told would be some what extensive. I barely felt a thing as his hygienist worked along with the anesthesia administered via syringe, being almost undetectable. Upon my follow up visit I was told that my condition, although incurable had been arrested giving me the peace of mind that I would not be In serious jeopardy of loosing my smile in the near future. As long as I take care on my end, I feel singers office can be as much support as anyone could ask for in a caring doctor. I was at Dr. Singer's office today, and it was a great experience. Why people are afraid of the dentist is entirely beyond me. Reception area was lovely, very relaxing with a nice water feature, and GOOD COFFEE. (Yes, I felt guilty, but it was good coffee!) I had x-rays taken and my mouth poked and prodded a bit by the hygienist, and everyone in the office was pleasant, professional, and communicative.
