The first problem was the first agent, Regina Jacobs, who didn't seem to be engaged until just until almost ready to list. Then she did not want competing bids to do work on the house and only wanted to work with specific vendors. "Her" gardener was Efrain Sian, who in the meantime have found isn't a legit business. She authorized him to start work on my garden when I was not okay with the budget and had not signed a contract. He started work, tearing up cement and breaking outdoor plumbing, then walked off the job. He was totally careless and damaged or ruined some of my personal belongings in the yard and has no intention to replace any of it. He did more damage than if we had just left the yard as is. But Regina was insistent and wouldn't take no for an answer. So this was escalated to DJ Grubb, the owner of the company. At first he said, "what are we looking at, a settlement?" Now that I've had more bids to fix the damage, they are three times my original budget and they refuse to pay for the damage. I don't have the 30K needed to fix that damage. So they told me to take out a loan to cover it. I feel that it's totally unethical to tell me to pay for damage their agent had done without a signed contract. So my house is going no where fast and remains damaged and unsellable!!!

I did not meet the qualifications stated in the property advertising but I made it a point to explain my situation in person. After considering the totality of circumstances and consulting with the property owner I was accepted as a renter. I stayed with Summit for 5 years. I admit I went out of my way to not be a problem tenant. If something broke and I could fix it I would. There where however times when I needed help with appliances or electrical issues. Every time I made a request for service someone would arrive or call to address the issue promptly. I can not recall ever waiting long for a service call to be taken care of. Lastly, the deposit. I lived in a small place with a small child for over five years. I was careful not to destroy the place while we lived there and leave it in good condition when I left. When I left I received my full deposit in the mail about a week after I returned the keys. I think as long as you are realistic with the property you rent you will be satisfied with Summit Properties Group. Remember they are providing a service to the property owner and to the renter, not just the renter. I was satisfied and if I had a choice to move into a Summit Properties Group rental again or another property management company I do not know- I would choose Summit.

Summit is only a 2 person operation that we saw working for us and lacks any vision or effort to improve your property. Make little or No effort to push back on tenants with late payments or behind in payments. Go Elsewhere for any other Property management company which would be better than Summit.
