I kind of hate to write this review but I do believe I should share my experience to spare others…read more I was looking into updating my website (www.inkubus.com) I was hoping to find someone local and did talk to a couple of people here in NH but also got some online quotes. I was given a wide range of quotes that went from $5,000.00 to "starting at" $120,000.00. Two local people I had spoken to both came at about 10K but I was not satisfied with their proposal. Enter Inhaus Media (locals!) Bill Smith met with me and seemed to listen to what I needed, took lots of notes, asked the right questions. When I got their proposal they had come in at $47,280. Yes, I was a bit shocked, to say the least, but they basically promised me the sun and the moon and I looked at all the features offered and took the bait and went with them. Bill said we would use a platform called Magento. He explained this was state of the art. The best out there. All the big boys were using it. I said Amen. I have now worked with Inhaus (yesterday being the last email exchanged with them) for a year and a half. In that time not *once* was anything done in the time frame that they said it would be done. Excuses were plentiful. When the site was finally up it did *look* like what I envisioned. It had the right feel. Looking a bit more into it I noticed that it did not work necessarily great. One of the problems was, for example, that there was no "previous" or "next" buttons for the items so that it was hard to navigate in that way. I brought this up to Bill who explained that this was a module that had to be bought separately. So yes, I had to pay more money to have these buttons on my site. In their proposal they said search engine optimization would be considered and implemented throughout the site and part of it would be through the use of keywords and the writing of content. That was *never* done. However, I did have to watch as my website ranking which was previously pretty decent was now plummeting. When I brought this up I was told I had to buy a SEO module. I did and months later I'm still waiting to see results. Then there was all the other things... Pictures that I had on my previous site that somehow failed to make it to the new one. The wrong pictures on the wrong items, items placed under the wrong brands, items completely missing, etc. All this I had to personally fix. Then the nightmare of the payments occurred... Bill had told me I needed to get PayPal Pro (I was just using a regular version of PayPal) which, of course, would cost more money. So I went and upgraded but for probably the first year he did nothing with it so that I was paying 30 bucks a month for the pleasure of just having this account. I should've counted my blessings because when he finally implemented it first it started with getting emails from PayPal saying I had a sale but then it not showing on my Magento dashboard so that I did not know what size the customer wanted. Of course, it was also not being removed from the inventory. When Bill went to fix it I started getting double payments from customers. This took months to resolve. Eventually, Bill explained to me that the problem is that Magento sucks. This news was delivered as if I was such a crazy fool for wanting to use Magento. Never mind that this was the only platform that was suggested and that I am NOT the webmaster. His proposal: to change platforms or to update Magento. Either way, he was done with me bothering him so much about my forty seven thousand dollar site never having worked or never having done half of they said it would do and after this change they would start charging me $90.00 and hour. I opted for the update and I am now dealing with fixing mistakes (same as last time) they have made. Were I someone else I would probably be suing for breach of contract. Lord knows I have a case. But I don't have the time or the stomach for it. The one good thing I can say about Inhaus is that they did always respond to my emails in a very timely fashion and that the design of the site does look like what I wanted it to look. But that does not make up for the loss of business I've experience due to their incompetence, nor for the site not working properly, nor for what I'm going to have to pay someone else to fix it. I know this is a long review and it does not even cover half of my experience. If anyone needs more specific info about what I was promised but not received (for 47k!) please message me and I'll be happy to explain.

Somero Enterprises has been working with InHaus Media for over 5 years. Initially, we were looking…read morefor a firm to redesign our website and bring it into the modern age technologically and with the design. We interviewed 3 firms and were fortunate that we found InHaus who were located in the next town from us. We didn't choose the least expensive option in a new firm; instead we opted for a firm that we thought "got us" and could deliver what they promised. We were not disappointed. We have never been disappointed in the relationship. It would be impossible to be...they continually over deliver! There are many companies that can produce a nice looking website that works. What many companies cannot do that InHaus has done for us over the years is consult with us on what our business needs in terms of its internet technology and presence. InHaus takes the time to work with us to help us define our marketing needs. They are always up to date on the latest trends and technology and have advised us on what could work for Somero. We are not always in a position to take advantage of things because of budget restrictions but even then, they are willing to work with us so we get the biggest bang for our buck. Bill Smith at InHaus manages our account. At my request he designed a website that I can edit myself. In most cases, editing the site is simple. I do run into problems of my own making from time to time. An email or a call to Bill gets the problem resolved fast. I've come to believe he never sleeps because he responds at all hours of the day or night! Somero is an international company and has the need for our website to work around the world. When it didn't in China (because of that country's policies), we asked InHaus to help us out to develop a China website that would originate in China (which was the only way it could work all the time). Bill researched the problem, found a web hosting company in China, designed the website, found a translator to translate all the material and worked with the web hosting company to get it up and running. We have also used InHaus Media for other things besides our website needs. They have designed electronic newsletters, email blasts and have assisted us in getting professional photography of our equipment. InHaus is the type of company Somero wants to work with. They make my job easier. They do what they say they will do (and more), they do it for the quote agreed upon, and they do it on time!

Told her how the last person I went with screwed me over and stole my money and after that I could not get a word in edgewise. I hadn't even told her the full story of what happened and she kept telling me what I should have done, designs that person owes me, how I should get back in touch with that person so that they could give me the partial work they did so I could give it to her, etc. I'm an attorney so I obviously know what I was supposed to do in that situation and what that person owes me. And honestly, none of that is her business but I was conveying what happened to me so she knew what situation I was in and that I needed some reliable. However, she missed that point completely and bogarted the conversation. When I was allowed to speak and partially state what work I wanted done, I was never allowed to get my full idea out before she cut me off and told me what was and wasn't possible and what I should be doing instead. I was glad when the phone call was done and agreed for her to send me a quote via email, which I honestly didn't even open. If that how she was on the very first phone call, I knew the rest of the process would be a nightmare. Definitely not worth it. Found someone else on Thumbtack and couldn't be happier.

I hired charlesworks at the beginning of October to create my website (it is now March and I still…read moredon't have one). I thought I could trust him as I met him in BNI - WRONG! Not only is this company incompetent at creating anything other than a landing page with your business contact info, but they tried to claim copyright for the content I created when I had to hire a new web site designer who knew what he was actually doing (check their other Yelp reviews I guess this isn't a first). Contact me if you would like the contact info for the amazing web designer I have hired. I even had to do back-end work such as install plug-ins and troubleshoot them because their employees couldn't assist in remedying an issue I was having. They sometimes take days to respond and when you request they call you, they will still send you lengthy emails instead of just calling to answer your question (unlike their website which claims "we give all of our clients consistent, personal attention"). Their website (which should stand as evidence they are not great at creating websites as it looks to be made in 1990 and never updated) claims they can help large corporations. I was told I was the largest website they had ever worked on (in 20 years in business, wow that was shocking). My website would have hundreds of products but I was not asking for anything revolutionary. Additionally, when the new website designer walked me through all the issues charles left me with, one of the most concerning was there was no security on my website that would be taking customer payments. This was the most alarming to me as this should have been done at the very beginning stages. Charles also claims to be able to assist with SEO optimization, as indicated on his website and we discussed as well. When I told him at the beginning this was important to me he said "well it's just basically putting a lot of content on your site". While I knew this was part of it, I thought for sure there was more to it. Well - my new web designer showed me a lot of the backend work and intricacies related to SEO which was another indicator charles has no clue what he is talking about. I asked him for his education and experience credentials and he never responded back so, suffice it to say, this guy is a hobbyist trying to sell people his website design services which he has no business doing. I requested a concession on the amount I paid them because much of their work had to be redone and he hijacked my domain (and accused me of just trying to skip out on paying him). He also put his name at the bottom of my website like he created it even though I was the one who directed the color scheme, design, the logo was mine his company never assisted with any of that, even down to the font I wanted, and exactly how I wanted the header to lay out. I also input all the products/descriptions/parent and child categories, attributes, etc. During one conversation I was even told I needed to contact woo commerce - can you imagine being told that by a website designer you are paying? I need to call woo commerce to figure an issue out? Why am I paying someone if I have to do the work and figure things out, having zero experience in website design? He also goes around touting "websites for $500". Mine was estimated to be triple that which I was fine with but then I just was getting erroneous charges which I feel were fluffed just to get paid for additional hours such as connecting to a third party finance company taking 4 hours? I don't trust charles at all and I hope you heed my warning to find a different website designer as charles is incompetent and has no clue what he is doing. I had many attacks to my website and the site wasn't even being maintained. We found all kinds of issues when I hired the new web designer. He will steal your money and hold your website captive. RUN!! (Also to see he is a liar - check the first review - it was made by him and he is claiming he is as a third party helped by charles works - wow)
