Everyone else may have had an amazing experience with this designer, but I was put off by the very first phone call with Galina. Told her how the last person I went with screwed me over and stole my money and after that I could not get a word in edgewise. I hadn't even told her the full story of what happened and she kept telling me what I should have done, designs that person owes me, how I should get back in touch with that person so that they could give me the partial work they did so I could give it to her, etc. I'm an attorney so I obviously know what I was supposed to do in that situation and what that person owes me. And honestly, none of that is her business but I was conveying what happened to me so she knew what situation I was in and that I needed some reliable. However, she missed that point completely and bogarted the conversation. When I was allowed to speak and partially state what work I wanted done, I was never allowed to get my full idea out before she cut me off and told me what was and wasn't possible and what I should be doing instead. I was glad when the phone call was done and agreed for her to send me a quote via email, which I honestly didn't even open. If that how she was on the very first phone call, I knew the rest of the process would be a nightmare. Definitely not worth it. Found someone else on Thumbtack and couldn't be happier. read more

We had Galina draw up plans for a lake house we are going to build. She was wonderful to work with and gave us very good suggestions as to what would and would not work. What would cost more if you wanted to have special features. You will have a wonderful experience if you have Galina as your architect! read more

I was looking for an architect to design very unique to my mothers (physical and cultural) needs house. I have checked 3 companies in the area. I found Galina on Google, specifically looking for a local NH business.. It was a "love at first phone conversation" :) She very quickly understood what we need. Went out of her way to offer multiple options, Made herself available to the head of our construction team. Galina has strong academic foundation, extensive ,varied work experience and marvelous strong and kind persona. She is wonderfully agile and creative in her approach. I contacted Galina Shvedova and asked if she could help me design my new house after a fire destroyed our old house . we showed her a picture of the house we wanted from the internet . she designed the house and we met with the contractor to make changes . we moved the bathroom so we could have a bigger shower . we put the washer dryer at the and of the hallway. she told me that we can go 24 ft with the beams for the floor with out a poll . now i got a 20 x 30 ft man room in the basement . she calculated the floor beams to hold the weight of the cement and tile for our radiant heating . she made the final drawings, we gave a copy of the plans to the building inspector for the town of Kingston . we got the permit to build the house with no questions asked .the building inspector told me that the plans where very well done and had no problem giving me the permit . when the house was finished he said that this is the only house in town that he couldn't wait to get finished because he loved the plans and loved the house . going to build a new garage and and have Galina make up the plans . i would recommend her to any one. i love showing off our house , when people come down our drive way they say wow!!! when they first see the house . and all this from a photo we gave her . if you want to see the come on by any time !! read more
