Ingles is very accessible on the corner of Hwy 400 and Hwy 53. The parking lot has plenty of room for large and compact vehicles. The store entrance is always so welcoming with the flowers, vegetables fruits, deli and bakery close to this area. We required a Mother's Day cake rather suddenly and Joyce in the bakery was very helpful. She assisted us even though she explained that she wasn't the daytime decorator who is highly skilled. Joyce practiced her skills and then did a fantastic job that I could never have done. Thank you Joyce! Every staff member that we approached was courteous and helpful. Ingles is probably the nicest, cleanest, and best-organized grocer in the Dawsonville area. Over the past eight years, I Have always found this store ultra clean and very well stocked in every department. When you walk in the door, you immediately know you are in a quality store with the organization, large open isles, and bright lighting. Ingles easily has the largest selection in every department store in the area and reminds me of the Fred Meijer stores in Kentucky and Indiana between the selection and large, comfortable, uncluttered isles. Finding a shopping cart at the front entrance is never a problem; the carts are clean and in great working order. In all of my visits, I have never had a poor or lackluster customer service experience; all of the staff members I have interacted with have been friendly, cheerful, and helpful. But, most importantly, they seem to enjoy their jobs and work. They have the Ingles Advantage Card for rewards, which provides discounts. I dislike the reward card program. I would rather get the best price without having to use a card designed to drive customer loyalty instead of driving customer loyalty by offering the best prices on items I purchase backed by incredible customer service, but it is the way most grocers and stores now do business. In all honesty, most of the prices with any of the store loyalty cards is not a bargain, but the "regular" price without the card is overpriced. Prices at Ingles are higher than most other local competitors, such as Kroger, Publix, and Walmart, in town. But, while the price may be higher on most items, the quality is usually much better. Hence the old adage, you get what you pay for. While the prices may be higher overall, you will still find great value by shopping at Ingles. I purchase items monthly at Kroger, Publix, Walmart, and Ingles. Ingles's bakery, produce, and seafood departments are superior to any competitor in the area. Since Ingles was the only grocery store in the area that custom orders flowers ahead of time for weddings, I chose this store to purchase flowers for my daughter's local wedding. I was more than impressed with the staff in the floral department as she was always updated on the status of the delivery. The flowers arrived very fresh and they were in buckets for us to take. They arrived the night before the wedding, and we picked the flowers up as early as 7:30 AM. read more

Used curbside and received almost everything on a long list! Makes life easier! Store is kept clean but products change with new managers, some I like what they stock better then others! The last woman Manager was open to New Items always and I liked it, recent manger is stuck in mud on ordering items like nothing but Sharpe cheddar cheese, little special no chemical cheese, special coca, vanilla extract. THANK YOU INGLES FOR ALWAYS DELIVERING! This Ingles store located just north of the Dawsonville Outlet stores, is actually a very nice grocery store. When in smaller markets, I can always find an Ingles and I can say that they are fairly consistent when it comes to fresh and delicious bakery treats and chicken wings and strips. The salad bar is always fresh and this particular one was impeccable (from the clean glass partition to the maintenance of the bar). The produce looked fresh and was very neatly displayed. If it is hot and fresh soup you want, they have a soup bar available. They also have other hot foods featured opposite the soup bar or you may order select items at the counter. Additionally, they make great custom sandwiches with Boars Head products. When it comes to these stores, I never make it past the produce, deli and bakery areas because these departments have everything I need. When attending festivals and visiting small towns, Ingles is a great place for grabbing a quick bite to eat and I love that the stores are consistent enough that I can visit them without reservation. These stores are very clean and have a nice open floor plan. I love to enter through the café area because it is very direct and convenient to the areas I love to visit. Today, we took time to enjoy our snacks in their café which is set apart from traffic in a cozy nook. This was made most convenient by our ability to purchase our food in the deli department. Ingles has become our little tradition and I always look forward to my visits. Remember, if you find yourself at a loss for restaurant options, consider Ingles. Management is way to hard on staff, who are also often still high school students, barely making minimum wage to work late nights and to often be criticized or embarrassed. While the store itself is nice to shop at, I wouldn't recommend letting your kids work there, mine had a terrible experience. Two managers in particular are out of line, one especially with customers. read more

I have to disagree with the reviewer from 2016. I have been shopping here weekly for a few months now and am always pleasantly surprised with the level of customer service, pricing and quality of the merchandise. I will also add that it is the only place I know that gives kids a free cookie and a small bag of popcorn which are located of separate sides of the store.... excellent tool to keep my young ones going and excited to be in the store. They love the special treats! Last but not least, I recently got my daughter a birthday cake which was not only delicious but beautifully decorated (custom idea). Love my Ingles! read more

I have to disagree with the other reviewer, I have gone to this Ingles in Dawsonville many times, and the people couldn't have been nicer. A few times I've asked where certain items are, and not only did they tell me where the items were, they escorted me to the proper aisle! They've also gone and checked for items in the stockroom when they weren't on the shelves. The cashiers asked me if I found everything I wanted, etc, I don't know how anyone could expect anything more---they even offer to take your buggy to your car! read more

This location has probably the worst customer service I have ever seen in a store. Don't bother to go there, their popularity is obvious by their lack of customers when Kroger and Walmart are busy all the time. They never are. read more
