You will end up buying things you didn't have on your list simply because of the value. Other things are over priced or equally priced to competitors. I simply don't purchase it. I always walk through every aisle to see what's new. The only downside is that you may love a new item but it will sell out and that's it! Many times you will only see it once so if you think you will love it buy more than one. I have also been burned thinking an item was going to be great only to have it be a dud. Example: I purchased what looked like ice cream cookie sandwiches from the freezer section and opened one up to eat on the ride home. I discovered that it wasn't ice cream in the center but greasy frosting which was worse by being frozen! Huge disappointment however I only spent a $1 on them so not too great of a loss. Doritos or any product of the "Frito Lay" company are ridiculous anywhere you go including UGO. I no longer purchase any savory items made by Frito Lay. Over $5.00 for a small bag of Doritos? Give me a break! You would think you are buying gold....they aren't that good. Give me the knock off any day! I buy other chips from UGO that are just as delicious and triple the size. It's hit or miss on the week you shop. If you are disappointed the week you stop just stop by the next week. I promise that you will have a great experience when you stop back. I highly recommend. Once you get out there are not many places to stop for fuel, snacks or to use the restroom. Stephen's Grocery and Hardware has a large selection of things from your basic C-Store items to some things for camping or minor household repair. The day we stopped there were numerous other customers in line making small purchases. NOTE: The restroom inside the store is locked and there is a sign saying for customer use only, so you have to make a purchase to get the key. I guess this is to stop the random tourist from coming in for a bathroom break. The restroom was clean and neat and worked on our stop. The prices of the C-Store items are much higher than what you will find in larger chain C-Stores but they probably pay a lot more buying in smaller quantity and there is not any competitor in the area.

There's a grocery section with way more than your typical convenience store. (Be sure to try the bologna and cheese. I don't remember the story but I know it's local and it's awesome.) There's a hardware section that will allow you to fix just about any basic emergency. There's a feed-store section too - if you have dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens (and we do! All of the above!), they've got you covered. There's also a gas station. Out front is all the normal stuff, with automatic pumps. Off to the side, you can get diesel and 100% gasoline (no ethanol or other additives). No credit card reader there, so you have to go inside, but nice to have. We're putting 100% in our two supercharged vehicles right now and my husband is sure it makes a difference. ;-)

And lord knows when they mopped it last. Then there was the self check out. I needed help because of of beer so I waited & waited. One person there and all the registers needed help. I go to ask for help & this ole girl just stares at me & says nothing....and then does absolutely nothing. I will never go back! I may never set foot in another Walmart.
